1: Stop insinuating that they bought the trial Court and Court of Appeal. You may be making remarks that are too sensitive and can't be substantiated. High Courts, Court of Appeal or Supreme Court are all an arm- you can't make a rubbish of a system and still claim you want to take its full benefits.

2: Avoid being too emotional here. You can make your case here, but here isn't a Court and no serious lawyer will come here to give you the required push with your approach. The rage and uproar may be mere sound and fury, but signifying nothing.

3: Remove the names of every individual you mentioned and alleged to be oppressing you. Your lawyer should be able to concentrate on recovering your family land without diverting attention to some defamation suits slammed against you.


That said, I sympathise with you for your loss, albeit, a temporal one, as the Apex Court of the land is still there. So, keep hope alive, but until your case is properly reviewed, I can't make any comment on the issue at hand. Besides, a forum like this isn't an environment to advise you. I don't practice on NL. If they can buy their way to to the C O A as you claim, they cant at the APEX court. One thing is, the court is not an emotional arm, it makes decision especially in civil suit like you're involved in based on "provision of case upon the balance of probability"... reasons you need a lawyer who knows his onion.

I wish i could be optimistic. The kinda of vested interest on the land is huge now. It is not just the LNG that is sited on the land but also a private modular refinery sited besides it,and the more time it takes the more it accumulates and attracts persons who see the strategic setting of the land. Already our opponents have sold a good portion of the land and houses are being built on it every day,even while we were in court.(sadly, " stay of execution"did not prevent them).

I can not imagine what right our opponents get to take all the land even though they only contended a meagre 25 acres of land hosting Shell (LNG) which actually covers hundreds of acres. But just after winning at the state high court,they went ahead to confiscate all,and even sited a modular refinery on our land which was not contended. I need lawyers who can help us reclaim those lands. I have every reason to believe that my family is the sole owner of that land.

I don't know if it is just me...i don't see Yar'adua or any of our past leaders,as heroes of any sort. Any leader who can not effect a positive change that becomes self replicating is not a good leader. Any leader that can not build strong institutions and infrastructures; built national consciousness and cohesion; built human capacity through education in science and art,e.t.c, which expands the horizon of the people, and stands the test of time.

It is true saying when people say, 'a cheat is always a cheat' . After the last incidence everything returns to normal for us but early this year God reveal to me in a dream that my fiancee got impregnated by another man. This awakens my me and I decide to check what she is up to of a recent because our introduction is slated for this month.

To cut the long story short I discovered she has been cheating again with her ex not with the same guy of last year . They have met in the city where I reside now many times according to the recorded conversation between them. Though she told the guy she has chosen to marry me, she still professes her love to him ,also she calls the guy several times at times she spent over 20 minutes, I also discovered she hides her number when doing so. The guy was trying to win her over because he knew she is a relationship with me.

Also I discovered she saved the name of the guy she was caught with , with another name and she spoke with him recently.

I regretted for not dumping her last year, but I know God still loves me that is the reason he is revealing all these to me before we tie the knot.

My sis who has been making some preparation for our intro when I told her all my findings, she was heartbroken and devastated she said that was the least thing she expected from her, she said I should have told her when the last incidence happened.

I have not confronted her again with her all her escapades yet, I want to seek advice what's the best approach break up with her because I have made up mind to end everything between us. God bless you all

You haven't countered my point. If only u have been reading some divorce stories here,u would notice that most of the complains are about the husband not providing,in fact most stop providing once the woman starts showing some level of financial independence. I don't know why u r calling me names. The op asked why there is a sudden increase in single motherhood, and i tried to give reasons. I did not say those reason are morally okay,but they are what cause it;it ia no fault of mine. I don't know what u mean by feminism is the best thing that happen...whoever distinguishes him/herself will be accorded respect. Feminism is not some royal symbol u carry once u r a female,that the males will start bowing to!

I think this trend is a result of the deviation from the original marriage institution: which requires the man to love his wife and the wife to be submissive to him. Reverse is the case now. And this reversed roles can not sustain the marriage institution,therefore leading to greater divorce rate.
In another angle,it is due to the increase in immorality. Except in rape cases, the increase in the number of single mothers is immorality. u can not have a one night stand with 2baba or wizkid now in some club and get pregy as a result and expect not to be a single mother. the sexual emancipation of women who now control their bodies and cannot be shamed as a result of using it how they like,results in sex that leads to unwarranted preg. And this availability of easy access to pussay is a leading factor,with men being controlled by their third legs.
And again,this is also as a result of the sudden enlightenment of the female folks. The truth is that,the more enlightened and independent the women become,the lesser enlightened and independent the men folks will be. This is because, the male folks are now lacking the motivation our forefathers had to work and provide and build the family which was seen as their sole responsibility and which was seen as the ultimate test for a masculine man: in marriages these days,a man is not really a man by how many hours he works on the field to provide for his family,or how submissive a woman is to her man-- but it is by the contract they entered,and each interests involved. So,with more women becoming educated and independent,either consciously or not, the male folks are affected by inferiority complex and become lazy by relishing their role to the women since they feel that the women can play both the role of a father and a mother. And likewise the women become drunk in this new found feminism and power. This now makes marriages some sort of business which must be constantly negotiated-with the innocent child between them in the chess game. A time will come when men will be so meaningless to women save for being child making machines,and to men women become mere object of sex.

Nigerians,especially the youths,must be very wise in this coming election. At first,i was excited to see a youth in the person of sowore,but suddenly i am having reservations. Let's not for the sake of present bad conditions we are now,make another mistake. I don't want a sowore who will become a bad experiment,thereby bringing ridicule to the youths. The first youth president we will have must be able to prove himself and the youths worthy as being capable to rule. Sadly,i have this feeling that sowore will make a bad leader,for one being that he lacks experience. And again,he appears to have court some enemies already; his constant antagonising of pdp may not be the best way to start his political career. Only a neutral anf non partisan person will best rule the country; one who has not dined with pdp and apc. Also,don't trust swore,he may be a distraction created to split votes in favour of someone he entered agreement with.
