I go to naija every year for the past goes know how many years now. The thing is I never lost a girl of mine to another guy when I was in naija. But going by what people post around here, it seem to be a common place. Even me wey I be guy, I find am hard to just break up with a woman and go with another just like that. lol
RomanceRe: Was I Wrong To Be Jealous? by ElRazur: 9:29pm On Jun 18, 2009
Something scary I have noticed here is how people paint a picture of how easy one can lose their woman in Naija. Is this true? Lol.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Power Tripping Mods. by ElRazur(op): 9:10pm On Jun 18, 2009
I have no problem locking this one. grin

But Busybody and co may not be happy about it.

The decision is yours mate.

Far from it. I just do not like scenarios I perceive as "injustice" if you see what I mean. I did actually try to post again twice, and then clicked on the thread in question - the reply option was gone at this stage. Meh shi.t happens.
RomanceRe: Was I Wrong To Be Jealous? by ElRazur: 8:49pm On Jun 18, 2009
Jealousy is a basic and normal human behaviour. You may need to keep tabs on things so that it do not go out of hand.

You are well within your rights to get jealous, but you girl may not see it that way. Remember you both laughed at her toaster tales before. So, it may mean nothing to her seeing that you have given her the impression that it do not bother you.

Try and speak to her. Explain to her how she would like it if she was in your shoes etc.

Here is the screen shot of the forum as I see it. [See below] Note that Patwhizzkid's post is missing.

The message should have been in where I highlighted yellow.

However, when I try to make a reply. I can actually see the message [See below please]

Now, the "thread lock message" came when I tried to make a post to Patwhizzkid. Perhaps it is a glitch, or someone locked it down before? huh

lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll grin  i replied in your thread

so . . . do we always have to make threads in order to communicate with the moderators?
Well. Something weird is happening. The post I tried to make is visible when I press reply. I can see it as a quote, but it is not visibly present in the thread.

The message in question was directed at Patwhizzkid. Can you see any message from me quoting patwhizzkid. I may have to post a screen shot now.

Fine. It was locked after the second reply. I tried to make a post and it says I cant because it is locked. I tried again and it was locked. I made this thread right after. smiley

If that is the case. I have no more to add for now.

There you go.

You like drama jooo Elenurazur, have you asked them why and not gotten a response undecided Big girl's blouse oshi cheesy grin cheesy

Even those of us who gets banned on a regular basis still has the chance to fire them email commanding them to explain why we were banned, despite the fact that the reason is displayed when we try to log on cheesy
Nah far from it. I just like people to be reasonable. My thread [see link above] is not different from others around. Yet mine got locked with no explanation. I really do not have to email them before I get a response.

The manner and approach of moderation around here is not fair. Period.  How come they can send you a message directly via pm, but you have to do it via email? They are too important or something?

The least any mod can do is give a reason as to why a thread is getting locked down.

I see my thread got locked down without no explanations. How nice. Please explain to me as to how my thread is different from that of "Omobandan thread" or that of "Ekiti zone"?

This is what was highlighted just some few hours ago - unfair moderating. Strange that moderators and administrator DEMAND full cooperation from posters, yet it appears they are above this.

Is that a civilized and best way to close down a market?. All they need to do is to come out early in the morning before people open their shops and put it on the lockdown. Why do we extol violence in Nigeria?

Yeah let us meet in here!! To do what exactly, I don't bleeping know. But it would be nice to just meet here and take the piss at other thread segregating others. grin Eventually when we are big enough, we can decide on what to do.

Oh if you do not have two or lack any of those items listed, you are still welcome to join us.

So who will be the first to join my United Human league non-discriminatory group? grin

Why are some overlooked, yet others ain't? huh

Damn, I should have taken the rocket science class when I was in nursery school, or are we agreeing that the moderation around here is not fair. Period. . . . ?
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Ekiti People, this Is Our Zone. by ElRazur: 5:41pm On Jun 18, 2009
There is already tribalism. It is for people from ekiti - not even people who happen to reside in ekiti. But don't let me disturb you guys. Carry on.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Romance Mods, Supermod & Admin Come In Please. . . by ElRazur: 5:28pm On Jun 18, 2009
I see where you are coming from, and to be vrutally honest some of the decisions made by the mods and seun, mukina and co are just questionable at times. I have no problem if the laws are enforeds fairly, however when this is not the case it leaves a lot to be desired.
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Ekiti People, this Is Our Zone. by ElRazur: 4:44pm On Jun 18, 2009
I am actually from Ekiti. Ayede ekit (under Oye local government) to be specific. My dad was one of the chiefs of ayede ekiti. If that don't make me ekiti, then I don't know.

The reason I am not taking this serious because all these segregation on nairaland and nigeria as a whole sucks. Division amongst human being have more disadvantages than advantages in my opinon. What is the purpose of this thread? Why can we not deal with each other as humans, instead of seperating ourselves on the basis of where we come from?
PoliticsRe: Plane Load Of Arms Impounded At Kano Airport. by ElRazur: 4:20pm On Jun 18, 2009
Mikeansy. I am with you on that one to be honest. However, whether that would happen remains to be seen.

The issue of arms dealing is another topic on its own. It is a global market just. Like oil and gas am afraid.

Check this out, the biggest arms dealer in the world are United states, Uk, france, china. And russia. Yet these people are all permernent members of the UN security council. Make of that whatever you want.

FBS:
my friend use your brain. It wasn't kola nut that was been transferred. Don't you know that East Europe (notably russia and ukraine) has the history of selling weapon to Africa?
I am using my brain hence why I questioned the logic presented. So far you haven't done any explanation to the effect.

Nairaland is becoming increasingly populated with paranoia angry
See as we are pointing fingers and accusing every other tribe of being the owner of the ammo, thats why we're so full of HATE.

For pete's sake, every plane has a Flight Plan. The flight plan of this fokker indicates it was headed for Equitorial guinea. That it had a problem and diverted to Kano doesn't in any way lend credence to the fact that the arms were meant for MEND or HISBA or SEUN for that bloody matter!!

How about if it had landed in say Ibadan? Who would we accuse next as being the sole importer of the guns? Ladoja??

Wake up, see how bloody ignorant and nepotic the entire lot of u are cry
Oga may whatever God you believe in bless you with more common sense.

FBS:
Ukraine says the weapons belong to Croatia. Interesting to know why there were Ukrainians on the plane and not Croatians?
What is your point? huh If the weapons belong to the croats, it do not automatically mean that croatian would and should be on board. Nah wah o

As has been mentioned, the weapons were destined for Equatorial Guinea and not meant to be used by Kano State or any Nigerian entity. This was also inferred by the BBC:

It had made an emergency landing in the northern Nigerian city of Kano while on a flight to Equatorial Guinea.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8106348.stm

Granted the issue should be investigated thoroughly and conclusively, the speculations here leave a lot to be desired. Yes people have malevolent intentions in Nigeria, but not every incident can be linked to those intentions.
Thank you. Another breathe of fresh air.

The flight was meant to only land in kano for refuelling (what is referred to as a technical stop), but because the handling agent refused to part with N500 or thereabout to the customs official on duty at that time, they decided to call the SSS to look inside the aircarft and the rest is what we are reading in the papers.

The point is that many flight carrying ammunition come to nigeria almost on daily basis, this is only in the news because the handling agent refused to bribe the customs on duty at the tarmac.
The entire nigerain system is corrupt.
Thank you. A breathe of fresh air.
