I am stiLl optimistic that this administration will succeed in her quest for stable power in the country. Giving us power and sanitising the electorial system are enough achievements to be remembered for. I wish our leaders well and hope they become as patroitic as my humble self. |
ypzilanti: Its really hard to sell a belt tightening policy to the population when you are living like an Arab Prince. Tell GEJ that I said so.Who ever imagined that Tinubu was worse than the crowned prince himself but we know better today.Mr man the earlier you have your eyes opened the better for you. |
dederocs: THE QUESTION IS-NAME ANY GOVERNOR IN NIGERIA THAT HAS MADE MORE IMPACT ON THE STATE THEY LEAD THAN FASHOLA?...I PITY YOU ALL,BETTER START HARRASSING YOUR INEFFECTIVE GOVERNORS,COS WHEN THE BUBBLE BURSTS ALL MAN WILL RETURN TO HIS LAND.JUST AN ADVICE,STOP LOOKING AT ANOTHER MAN'S STATE.I shake my head @ your nauseating ignorance but so you won't continue at this level of dimunitive thinking I will take a little painstaking effort to help you out of your primitive thought. First, development is measured in relativity. Lagos was a developed colony before 1999. It had all the industrous and road networks. It had all the institutions in place and had been the hive of Nigerian economy. Put states like Calabar, Akwa Ibom, Rivers or even Edo in perspective and tell me how many roads fashola had built, how many schools, industries etc he had brought to lagos. If you are familiar with Akwa Ibom in 1999, compare the Akwa Ibom of then and now, then you will understand what performance is about. Take a look at the Tinapa, Obudu cattle ranch innovation of Dukes, then you will understand idealism of leadership. Fashola is charismatic and articulate agreed and I have argued countlessly that even the worst of a leader will succeed in lagos. To your question- Akpabio, Amaechi and even late Yar Adua and former gov Donald Duke had made more impacts in their states than Raji Fashola |
In a simplified term, can these bootlickers state emphatically what Fashola had done? Agreed, he had made some tough policies which are futuristic though pseudoactivists would have grounded the country had those policies been made by any pdp government. If an ACN govt comes on board and remove fuel subsidy, nigerians will assume it's a right policy. We need to have a rethink and stop being biased so nigeria can grow. |
@ OP you speak as if you are God. Your assumption and audacity could make the president lose votes if at all he will recontest. The year 2015 is still far so what the president can do between now and then will determine how nigerians will vote.. I wish him well |
The president is on top of the situation. 2013 shall witness an accelerated development and a reinvigorated president. He has used 2012 to build a foundation for the country's economic growth by the different reforms and the unearthening of different areas of scam to the economy. Our economy indices are growing rapidly and the country can comfortably be among the 10 fastest growing economy in the world. A lot needs be done but the president has done litle above average. The security challenges were somtin new to the system why the curtainment took a longer time but the issue is gradually becoming history. As regards corruption, what the president seems to be after is the rewriting of history by blocking avenues for such corruption rather than resorting to vendetta of prosecution/imprisonment, though I am of the opinion that these thieves of our common wealth rot in jail. We should pray for the president for wisdom, courage and protection. A country is not more than the leaders it gets. |
Nonsense! Old and stale news. Read this scrap on one of the gossip sites about two years ago. Word for word, no addition, no subtraction. Mod pls s expunge! |
Good. |
Sincerely Dino is heading to self destruct. The man should be pitied rather than criticise him.. He needs the collective prayers of us all for restoration from this great doom that lurcks on his door but what will save him? For whatevr a man sows, he reaps |
This is just the figments of the OP's imaginations. Well, it's progress to note that the president has become ruthless and mean. Good! Exactly our wish so that a retardeen will stop r |
I was appalled to see some bb DPs lighting up candles to honour these victims then I asked how many americans have ever said RIP to our several hundreds being killed by boko haram? It will be agreat favour for CNN to even mk a reference to it. I am not saying these lads should not be honoured by men of all flesh but nigerians should stop playing second fiddle |
This is so Sad.. RIP to the dead, comfort to the bereaved. |
Well said. Time and history will vindicate GEJ. God bless the FRN |
Great one. Two illustrous son and daughter of Nigeria. |
If nigerians in general think and reason like these nairalanders who are obsessed and full of hatred for this performing and most focused government, then the country is doomed but the goodnews is that over 80% of these monikers are on a paid political mission to promote the anti Jonathan slogan. What a smart moves by Tinubu but we gat your balls and know what you knew. I will crave the indulgence of my ever reasonable and logical NLs who are desirous of information and being in the know of the happenings in their country to read views here dispassionately. The OP of this thread provided links which are verifiable so the mindless attacks on him is pitiable as an exhibition of ignorance. |
Mandelaguy: Jobless mugu. Go to school and learn about portfolios of Ministers. What is the job of an information minister other than spreading information about the activities of government?Guy, sstop responding to that seemingly mentally deprived moniker. I am of the opinion he needs a brain check because the last time I checked obsession was still a mental disorder. |
pheesayor: you read my mind, the first over 7 comments to this thread are members of "THE TEAM" check out their profilesThis is one problem with dummies like you who are so low in thinking and as such stereotyped to logic. It also goes to show the height of your joblessness if you can find the ample time to start digging the profiles of others and tagging them because they have a descending view. Grow up nd stop being a toddler. |
utumunta: What is d thrust of ds post? Is maku on d brink of losing hz job cum d mch anticipatd cabinet shake up nxt yr?Your aspersions may be as good as mine but I don't think this thread was created out of the fear of losing one's job. The OP may or may not have link with Maku but what is however important is the truism in his assertions. This government is most criticised because for the first time we are in a regime that for the very first time in the history of Nigeria wearing the outlook of a democratic government where the people have a say and are free to make comments, guarded or not( thanks to the FOI as passed by this govt) and they(people) have come to understand the powers they have and are gradually harnessing it. Also, we are in a new era of sociomedia which has helped to enhance information dissimination. These two facts coupled with political propaganda by political foes( though this is a universal occurence) has made this govt the most criticised and the blame shouldn't be Maku's or Okupe's nor Abati's. |
ballabriggs: Frank Nweke? MUHEHEHEHE A confirmed druggy. Tells you how low Maku is when people think a junkie like Maku is better than him.Guy, you stopped making sense with your posts long time ago. I have inadvertantly pomped into a few in recent times and all I see is a feature of obsession and depression. Check it or before you realise it you could be in ARO home. |
The information ministry is one portfolio that can mar more than it can make and the dilemma of managing this important ministry to suit governance and the citizens expectations is the agony of an information minister. Maku no doubt is a man of impeccable character who had at a time and still riding in the muky water of politics to have the opportunity to live his dream of a great and pragmatic leadership in a country where most citizens are in dispair. He had demonstrated this by taking a different approach to delivering on his ministry by not following the usual approach of gingoism and propaganda, a trend which has not yielded results. The OP couldn't have said it less and I am not surprised at the recent attacks directed at him. From my humble assessement he remains the best minister of information so far |
Ok,KATSOMOTO all d wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. My vote 4 him |
Hmmm. GEJ dis will be a good one in your kitty. Pls, don't fail in your effort to stabilise power supply in the country. Take it as your honour, continue improving the electoral system and you will be that hero, song or unsong. |
@OP, everything is wrong with it including you for ever imagining this obscenity. If you think what makes a good leader is fanatism and stereotypism then Osama Bin Laden would have as well been the Saudi king. God forbid that such a bad news be a local govt chairman not to talk of the president of a secular and difficult country like nigeria which requires tact, gentility but strong will to rule. It is not about being sentimental or an apologist as some may think but Buhari cannot rule a plurialistic country like ours |
Nothing wrong in critisizing and holding government accountasble provided it's not ill conceived. This govt should first do Odi clean up then any other |
ballabriggs: HEEEEYYYY!!!! JESU CHRISTO!!! So Maku deeped his hand into the capital project budget to fund a short term tour? N5 million in each state minus the hidden ones wey dem dey collect from back. These people are wasteful and crooked!!! You see the way you are exposing your oga now.I can see you are irredeemably lost. You are obviously here to make mockery and ridicule an important intellectual discuss and joining issues with you gonna further compound the inherent imbecilic trait in you so I will be the last to give you that privilege. You can burn for all I care but onething is that it will take special grace to attain the height this great man of our time has attained. Get a life, cos you are still a low lifer |
ballabriggs: This Maku's CV that I am being shown is because I said Jona should fire the m0r0n.I can understand your problem to be lack of information and as such you spew ignorance with all affronts. If you belittle the Man's pedigree because you must work for your money, I may as well show some understanding by pitying your life of penury but that said even the nematodes you are working for know the class and style possessed by this Iroko who is seen as a threat to their philandering and deceit. I may not have had more respect and ovation for Mr Labaran Maku until recent media attacks as disseminated by your sahara lies. I want to ask you what is wasteful about the good governance tour? I can see your likes have a motive to cover the ineptitude of your accolades which your biased media has unduly blown their achievement over the mask and so they have to discredit this great innovation inorder for their deceit not to be exposed. Sorry Mr, the tour ll continue at the right time and all the states toured so nigerians can judge. In the meantime, keep drooling why the man you are developing high B.P for is touring the globe on the invitation of great minds who appreciate his worths doing what he knows best |
Black Mamba: The government should start looking for ways to end this reoccurring scarcity... why is the NUPENGASSON peep always holding the nation hostage in the name of one thing or the other? its getting embarrassing.why the minister earlier said that nigerians should be held responsible for this latest scarcity and she was right. He who wants equity must come with a clean hand. Nigerians have beome too irrational when it comes to certain issue beause we often erroneously assume that government is always wrong. |
wesley80: You think? Ask Gbawe what he got from Aregbesola on this account alone last year. Fact.hahaha. I have a strong suspicion too. That dude not only get honorarium from Aregbesola only but he is also in Amosun Ibikunle's payroll. |
Who is this miffed who Is not only walloping in ignorance but obviously dying in jealousy of man who is and will be better than him even in another life? A well composed article, full of sound and fury but signifying nothing. shame on you Rudolf for taking your resentment too far and also for not understanding the responsibility of certain offices. You should be more than a tool for propaganda and on this note, I say RIP Rudolf for your intellectual foolery. |
Jarus: No sir. Even his 8 months here this year was riddled with bans.@ Jarus, see how you are forming one boss that I can't still understand.. How much does the first price cost? How many millions are involved? If it's for the fun of it, give to who you wish, it's not my 2 cents.. All the best. |
Sometimes I imagine how ugly some of these nairaland female monikers would look. From comments I try to fathom how they talk in real situation.. Well, some would pass for another Patricia Etteh |
gree-die:You have just said the truth and your heart as pure as an unicorn. Your fellows are busy hurting their feelings as if saying the truth cost a diamond. |
