I can see many rantings and slurring from foot soldiers and bootlickers of failed political parties whose hope of survival is hinged on merging. I laugh in Hindus, because these folks are either ignorant or they have suffered dementia or else would have known that the party PDP is very strong and reliable in internal dispute settling when it matters most( just before elections). This may just be another precocious jubilation or a wishful thought. |
~Bluetooth:You are such a lousy talker who enjoys the privilege of a techno phone and etisalat free data, and posts nonsense full of chauvinism from a possible slum somewhere in Lagos. If you don't know jack about Edo politics, stay quiet.. If the Anenih and PDP bigwigs in Abuja wanted Oshiomohle out, he won't survive this case. An expensive information. Stop deceiving yourself |
Folks shouldn't be surprised. Great things had always come out of UNIBEN in medicine. It should be recalled that the first successful bone marrow transplant in black Africa took p,ace in that institution. Great UNIBEN!. Prof Ibeh couldn't have been raising false alarm. Nigeria should support this research and the long awaited medical discovery could be coming from Africa and Nigeria in particular. |
I don't expect this thread to attract much comments because it will promote rather than CRITICISE government. I remain indifferent as I earnestly wait for the full privatization of this all important sector. My three point agenda for this govt are power, sanitisation of the petroleum sector and good electoral system. So far progress is gradually being made, though to earlier to sing. God bless Nigeria |
However sad, this death feel, it is better now than later. Our society can't cater for them neither can their poor parents do. RIP little ones. |
Alxmyr: The questions are:You have said it all. Those making mindless comments are as well on their way to the slaughter like Sowore. You can make mockery of jonathan, PDP or the nigeerian government but not with God and his church. Sowore should be careful. He who the god wants to destroy, he first makes mad. |
Enters thread, reads post and comments and of the impression that it serves him right(mind you, this is sowore's version of what happened). Hmmm! Ungodly goons using this fallacy to berate and mock the anointed. Smh. May God have mercy. |
Still can't fathom why people are killing themselves at mere exercising of one's fundamental right. Thought they said GEJ is a nobody, hence shouldn't be a treat. What prevents others from floating posters? Let him contest, at least he gets my one vote if only he could achieve at least 70% of stable power, 60% of electoral reform and petroleum sector sanitisation. You need wealth creation before you can generate job, so pessimists should note that the repositioning of the critical sectors like power, petroleum and entrenchment of good electoral system is the hallmark. |
I sincerely hope that it won't be late for the north before they realize these damages and retrogression they are bringing on themselves.. Rest in peace to the old woman and the grand son. |
mrkels: Nonesense,Must you be a sadist? And who telLs you that you have a superior thought . We have more traffic with air moDe of transportation than the rail which is in the evolving phase with the latest commissioning. The fact that ithe proposed policy may not benefit you much( maybe you don't fly) doesn't make it not popular. Learn to talk sensibly. |
I have heard this severally just since last quarter of 2012. Buy the planes, reduce the high cost of ticket and let me hear word. |
0lumide: US don dey find another interest in Nigeria lol..You speak this way because your ears are destined for bad news. Why are we so despaired as a people? Because this report is not anti government or seem to promote the Nigerian state in good light, it becomes suspicious. Do you have to depend on America to know that Nigeria has the potentials of greatness if only good governance is entrenched? Wake up |
Visits thread, reads comments and shakes my head at the fools that will think that there is genuine rift between Asari and the president. Asari is a product of the struggle and he's only speaking against things that will militate against the president's second coming hence the criticisms. His actions are to make the president sit up and shouldn't be misunderstood as animosity. |
nagoma: The death of these young men is still fresh on our minds and no body and no one can justify these murders. We must however try to control our emotions and examine the situation objectively in order to avoid such tragic losses of innocent lives.I will summarize in 10 points; These no-points are figment of your imagination and manifestation of a delusioned mind out to concoct falsehood. |
Lets learn to understand the motive behind certain actions before making free comments. The Britush are very conservative and biase in their dealings with foreigners in their soil. Why has such reports not been in America and other liberal societies. In irony, Indian and to some extents Nigerians are part of the shining light in America's medical profession. The problem isn't about intellectual know how but ethics and administration. The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria works in tandem with the British Generlal Medical Council( GMC), so any issue of accreditation failure affects the ranking of our local health institution before them as we suffered in the past two years when some Nigerian medical schools were blacklisted by MDCN. |
SMH at the level of reasoning of a supposed spokesman of a national party. Must CPC always present rams like Buhari and Fasakin as representatives? How can they change Nigeria with this level of reasoning? Maybe cows will sound more logical than this loquacious idiotic trying to undo the evil deed of his party. Your party should just ask Nigerians for forgiveness and move on rather than sounding more and more stupid. |
k2039: [color=soyouquotedme]Can k2039 find anything good in GEJ's presidency?, absolutely NO.Why will this dude find anything good in the president when there's nothing good about him? The last time I checked charity began from home, so have a Self reevaluation to believe in yourself before believing anything else. For Okupe's speech, I concur to a large extent. |
wengerjay: University of Jos authority needs to verify whether this guy truely finished from the school.Perhabs he was once a medical student bt later got withdrawn. Most of the withdrawn medical medical students are frustrated and involved in nefarious activities, only few of them are able to cope with their failures.I am nt sayin Doctors are saints anyway bt the mentioned medical schl shld verify.I dont think a federal hosp like FMC gives out part time jobs as claimed by the 'doctor'.You made some salient points. Or he may have gone into the profession with a wrong mentality. |
Dudu_Negro: .....and it shall continue untill they bow down or bow out. yanmiri's incessant arrogance must be suppressed, through self-transformation or painful humiliation. yanmiri is a nobody in this country. you have declared biafra twice (1967 and 2012), so what are you still waiting in Nigeria for? Cut yourself off, everything east of the niger, the people, the land the oil and go.Their going may be an invitation to anarchy. Are you sure you and your tribal warlords can stand the hunger that will be melted to you hitherto? Am not Igbo o but I have followed tribal threads enough to say you Yorubas are nasscistic hence the need for change in your poor mentality. |
I frowned against this callousness and insensitivity on the part of nairaland moderators two days ago but my post was quickly hidden. I have made them understand that no yoruba man living or alive has attained the status and recognition Achebe had gotten via literature. The book that the yorubas are crying wolves over has just won the IOS book of 2012 and Achebe himself was among the 3 Africans nominated among the 100 most influential men in the world in 2012( behind Joyce Bander and Ngozi OKONJO Iweala). At least a lot of Nigerians who pitifully visit this scrap site( forum) created to promote falsehood and tribal bigotry are reasoning. |
In that case the employer should provide a soft landing for the employee. Adequate compensation is advised however, talk it over with him or her, understanding is what matters. |
Ok, Katz congrats. On behalf of truth and conscience nurtured nairalanders congrats. Next year just be more patroitic you can return re-elected. One love |
Thank God we took this. |
Gbawe: What on earth are you talking about? Saharareporters may not be perfect but do you and others want a few example of the revelations they brought to the awareness of the Nigerian public while other news sources collected brown envelops to lie to us?Mr,the bolded caught my fancy. I don't expect you, the almighty Gbawe, the I know it all of nairaland to lose count of something like this. if you know more I put it to you that the pleasure will be all yours to chronicle them. Sahara reporters has a role to play just like other whistle blowing news outlets but the overzealousness of the SR and quest for quicker recognition had made them too partisan and vindictive. This may just be their undoing. As a poster rightly said, let the dead rest in peace and forget who was wrong or right in utterances. Until SR starts investigative journalism as we have with whistle blowing agencies, then will it rank in the class of whistle blowers but for now, we are too intelligent for secondary news gathering and pronto publishing without due recourse to facts verification. |
koruji: Can u provide us with this impeccable source of yours? Because Maku never said anything about protocol or leaving b4 the crashed copter. He said Sanni decided to travel alone and he was moved by some unknown force not to join the flight. That source need not be a newspaper source.. As a federal minister, he maybe careful with what he says in order not to heat up the polity but that is not to say he is economical with the truth. The meat of the matter is he narrowly escaped death because he was to be in that helicopter but by providence he missed it. The report that he stayed back is a beat confusing because I had earlier learnt he travelled ahead with another chopper on an advise which was informed on logistic and protocol, period! . It is left for the security agencies to investigate what actually transpired. I am still at lost at what led to tat crash? |
I just hope Sahara reporters don't commit suicide because of Maku. Just because Maku has successfully exposed the deceit called Sahara reporters, they have chosen to lose sleep for his sake. Well, I think the newspaper that reported that news got some facts wrong. An impeccable source, had reported on that evening of the crash that Maku wanted to board the ill fated chopper along Azzazi, Yakiwa, Umar Sanni and co but was compelled on by protocol to go ahead of the crashed chopper by joining another chopper which left before the crashed chopper. Whichever report is true, whether the one that crashed left before or after Maku's doesn't change the fact that he would have been in the crashed chopper and I rejoice with him as he thanks his stars and God most importantly. I hope Rudolf Okonkwo and his Sahara reporters cronies have failed one more time. |
Is this insanity or a manifestation of joblessness? One man's meat could be another man's poison. I am ashamed of some of these overzealousness exhibited by some folks here by their regular juvenile display. I would have expected the mods to be more cautious. What made Achebe's book disdainful to earn him shame?. This book just won the IOS book of 2012 and the man is among the three Africans among the 100 most influential people in the world in 2012. You see how you guys have allowed tribal card to bereave you of reasoning? This forum is not worth my 2 kobo but will continue to speak out and expose the mission of some folks here who are using this forum to serve a purpose. But before I end this, may I remind you that you could make it more merger if you allow integrity and truth to be your watch word. If you wish hide this post or ban this moniker, my arse. |
Until heavy duty trailers are taken off our roads, we will never get it right with our quest for good and enduring roads. This is a welcome initiative and should be commended irrespective of what type of locomotives in used. We will build it from here and someday improved trains with greater speed will be in use. We pray for the quick completion of the one linking the East through Minna to the north. |
take dat: While I do not dispute that party faithfuls should be compensated with appointments but should a president who proclaims an exit from our inglorious past with his transformation mantra slide back to the ways of the past? Is there a dearth of vibrant and resourceful personalities who would help drive the change of transformation in PDP rather than succumbing to the same old recycled politicians? Seems you are contented with "sharing the money"? Lai Mohammed was never a commissioner in Osun state and even if opposition parties also do the same, shouldn't PDP being the big party set good examples for others to emulate? My bro, let's not be consumed by greed. I think this administration had been fair with the young hearted in appointment. A quick flash at the ministers and aids shows that they are youthful. I doubt if any or maybe few should be above 60 years.it's not wrong if an octogerian heads a board of an agency afterall such position should be reserved for them since it will be less demanding rather than having them in mainstream politics. The subject is the suitability of Anthony Anenih as NPA chairman. First, this is not the first time Anenih should be heading that board. We have not heard of any misconduct from the previous but that mt withstanding , Anenih may have a questionable character but you cannot ignore his political sagacity should the president have an interest to protect just like every other person including you. Let us be reasonable. Should you prefer him entrust such position to lost souls who have sworn to fight him to his kneel? Or gives it to an opposition magnet like Tinubu? Or should the inexperience young hearted lord over such a very lucrative and dangerous agency? Still thinking why we reason the way we do. |
Omo_Tier1: Che! People like you are still in Nigeria? Unreasonable, lacking in wisdom, wicked at heart and never having a long memory of their acts or those thy enjoy company with.. Anenih's is a confirmed looter. A serial thief! If only you can point at where I was unreasonable, lacking in wisdom and wicked. I am a Nigerian just like you, suffering from years of misrule and insensitivity of bad government. But the difference between you and I is how we perceived things. You and others are moved by emotions and ill feelings of Nigeria not being where it should be by now, a situation I understand perfectly. I feel the same but with reasons as a realist not only holding idealistic views. You should have asked yourself why Fashola cannot do away with Tinubu in Lagos state? Anenih maybe corrupt just like Tinubu or any other Nigerian but you still need such men to survive the murky waters of Nigerian politics. Nigeria won't be ideal in a single tenure or in few years but it will take gradual calculated efforts by an unassuming leader to make things. A wise leader will learn to balance politics with performance. |
Delafruita: its not a crime to appoint party faithfuls, its however absurd to appoint an 80-year old man who has been accused by the national assembly of diverting funds meant for road construction to a sensitive position like chairman of NPAPlease let us set the record straight. I am not an Anenih fan, Infact I am one of his critics back in Edo state politics because I am of the view he is too tight fisted with power and greedy so the popularity dwindling in the PDP in Edo state because of the discordance voice between him( Anenih,) Ogbemudia and Akhigbe. That said, being accused is different from being found culpable and the house committee inviting you for questioning. And clarification is not the same ad accuse. I have my reservation about anenih's personality and style of politics but for the purpose of this topic, let's be factual and be reasonable. |
Sincere 9gerian: Board appointments are PERIPHERAL appointments. Yes peripheral appointments can be used to compensate party faithfuls. GEJ went for competence and FIRST ELEVEN in selecting his ministers and heads of departments. These are the people that do the REAL work that affect you and I. They are the DRIVERS of the transformation agenda. Check them out:Leave those nitwits to continue in their wailings. The pain is that their paymasters and tribal heroes are not favoured in the appointments so they gonna cry wolves. However, why is ACN compensating their party faithfuls with all kinds of frivolous contracts and appointments. How many boards are the likes of Lai Mohammed holding. I think the man Lai Mohammed hails from Lagos but was a commissioner in Osun at a time. Why are Tinubus controlling the revenue drive of Lagos state? Edo State for instance, ACN faithfuls are chairmen and members of all the boards, no outsider. Irrespective of where on planet earth, party faithfuls control governing boards of ministries, departments and agencies. So these nitwits should stop being jealous and live up to the reality that things like these are the benefits of being in the winning party just as Fashola, Oshomohle , Ajimobi ,Aregbesola and fayemi are busy enriching his party stalwarts. |
