I have said and will continue to emphasize that the problem we face is a systemic one, emcopasses both us the governed and the government.. it amazes me how we often want a functionally perfect social amenities but are not ready to play our own part in achieving this. For the first time in our history, we are getting it right in power generation but some are choosing not to encourage it.. Call it ignorance or what.. Ignorance is no virtue so can't be excuse at times.. The new tariff was formulated to encourage gas generation and attract private participation especially in gas production which many investors are shying away from because our former tariff regime can't sustain them for such a huge venture. You ll understand that reliance on hydro and other things have been the bane in electricity generation since.. Even with this tariff, govt still subsidizes it heavily pls google world electricity tariff to understand wat other countries pay .. Pls those men should be jailed ASAP, they whatnot drag us back.. Or still resort to generator for one week to know how cheat your tariff, after all,if education is expensive you try ignorance.. |
Ralph is a sensible man... He sees beyond his nose.. More strength my comrade. |
emesv26: MPAPE PEOPLE ARE HOMELESS WHAT A FRESH AIR FROM THE GOVERNMENT....The elrufai you sing his praises did worse than this.. The law must be followed.. The pains will be for a while but Nigerians ll be happier for this action someday...Provided one individual doesn't reallocate the the lands to his concubines, cronies and family members.. |
A candid advise from a leader who is in tune with reality... Corruption should be defined in context with custom and ways of a people.. The PM knew it has eating deep into the fabrics of his or her people why offering palliatives hoping to change the MSG after a while.. U can't just stop a corrupt society over night cos the problem is psychic.. why in mental health you can't stop a drug addict abruptly,it ll fail..rather you advise on a gradual reduction of quantity and frequency while you continue on educating the patients of the danger of what they are doing... Simple psychotherapy.. Exactly what the PM is adopting.. Only the ignorant ones will out rightly CRITICISE her |
Good... A timely decision. |
Hmmmmmm!. Ok now, we shall see... |
Imagine these dubious marketers resorting to blackmails.. If you are not ready to do business, better throw in the towels and allow responsible citizens their rights... I support the strict scrutiy of the claims by the min of finance y these elements want to strike at a crucial moment of celebration... Criminals! |
I will not doubt this report..Lagos indeed is horrible why I personally left that city.. Can't cope with the hustling and bursting, traffic and NURTWs threats and all.. Some part of island is relatively good, go to mainland especially ikotun and iyanaipaja axis,u llunderstand that hell exists on earth.... |
El Rufai is assessing his popularity with Nigerians by unnecessarily wanting to be in the news... However, may be he understands after all that he's not wanted . |
This cosmic rays has failed, I kept my bb phone on thinking cosmic rays will transform it to a Porsche ... Am heart broken now |
We should also understand Van Persie's feelings too.. Am a stunch gunners but football is business.. Arsenal would have retained him till his contract expires but they needed to make something out of him.. It pains to see him leave and more painful to leave for a rival premier league side like Man United but life is all about interest, so if this moves favours him let us respect his position...Let him leave so we can workout something new.. Am confident of podzol ski , giroud and Carzola in a supporting role.. Gervinho and Oxladin hopefully ll step up their game.. If Sabin could come, our midfield is ok.. Defense is just fair |
mujiboy: @dollarman what u listed in ur view is just like havin 15% out of 100. For ur information the country has the capability of doing more. We pay tax to the govt. Av u forgoten dat. Go to souuh Africa nd see.May I ask you how much you pay in tax? Pls go, ask Britain how their tax system is being run then you'll understand.. I quite concur that the institution of govt should double up efforts but Nigerians are also failing in their own part, including my humble self.. We need a wholistic change it should start With individuals |
May I ask the OP of any country devoid of its own peculiar problems? Agreed Nigeria should be better than it is now but no thanks to the military, however, ironically Nigeria has its own advantages over some with better social system... In Nigeria You are not treated like a second class citizen, you can cut corners by refusing to pay your NEPA bills or under pay but expect a 24/7 power, in Nigeria many citizens evade taxes but want our social systems to be perfect, in Nigeria, You are virtually educated for free or with little token but you want our institutions to be like Harvard or Yales. I can go on and on. In as much as I don't brief for govt for having fail on her part but we must also look internally for some of te solutions to the menace plaguing our dear nation by changing our ways to suite a relatively perfect society and then we can hold govt responsible for failing us. |
Ok, we don hear, na same old story.. Tanx 4 lending your voice.. Next! |
I will never vote or support a man who ll never honour his words.. A man who has told both local and international communities that he ll not run for any elective office again twice but reneged on his promise. A man who can't keep his words can't keep electoral promises . A man who had been defeated on 3 consecutive elections in a 12 year period and still will not give any other person a chance.. What a greed... That name Buhari hunts the image of this country.. No wonder elrufai said he was perpetually unelectable |
Le,t me be nice to all probuhari fan on nairaland by telling you the plain truth and nothing but the truth that the best favour you can do PDP in 2015 is the fielding of Buhari or elrufai as a presidential candidate.. I feel so bad that I have just let out one of our perfect strategies , well there are many odas but I just want to be a nice guy this evening but may not guarantee my niceness next time when I ll allow you waste all your energy or resources fighting a lost battle.. And mind you if you don't handle ths merger well, you both parties could be doomed forever.. I say this because I know you ll not, because the force behind this move is greed so I know you can ne'er be rational on this after all a leopard cannot change its spots, no be Tinubu again? Mk I sip my beer jor.. Merger ni merger kor! |
These people have goofed again.. Political parties merger are based on sound and congruous ideologies which are distinctly lacking in this case.. The whole idea is some elitists conniving together to gainer strength to wrestle another elitist class and at the end nigeria is doomed for it.. The underlying philosophy propelling this merger is wrong and why I ll not vote for it.. It is not intended to solving the many social injustices plaquing the country but seem it ll worsen it.. Because if they succeed in defeating PDP, though it will not be able, these elements from different ideologies cannot work in harmony and Nigeria will be worse for it.. My advice to Nigerians is they should look before leaping. |
Musiwa,,:Musiwa your writeup are rather too choked to understand, it could have made an explicite meaning to you only.. Not that I didn't keep your point but it is not real to me. It is self seeking, trying to sell a selfish ideology.. maybe you are a Yoruba trying to keep Lagos and your tribal interest. But Nigeria ll not grow this way.. First, capitals shouldn't be situated by seaports for security reason the security of your sovereignty should be paramount and commercial capital ll never really translate to state capital, they are two parallel things. Secondly, Lagos is not the only densely populated state in nigeria if you are talking of where you have a large chunk of consumers and there is no direct relationship btw site of production and location of consumers in this context. In this case Nigeria and sorrounding countries are the target .. Thirdly, administrative headquarters should be located near site of production in which case PH or any of the states close to the coast lands(ND) and someone asked why the haste in relocating the headquarters of NLNG from Owerri to Lagos immediately afterthecivil war? You, see if it had been in Owerri which is still an approximate distance to production site ,we would feel the relocation wasn't necessary.. We should start telling ourselves some truth,a lot of conspiracy went on in the past..we should leave sentiment aside and build a virie society where justice and peace ll reign. |
Beaf: Ok, mr clever. The company has moved and others will follow. Do you feel like hanging now?You are my guyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!? What a brilliant response.. I should ordinarily be owing you some bottles. |
ndu_chucks: Good, so what percentage of these flyers travel on a regular basis and why? If only a handful of them need to travel frequently because telephones, emails, other electronic communications devices are insufficient to meet their needs, why can't those employees relocate? Why move the whole head quarters.Guy what is your stress? Simple logic, in an ideal society , headquarters of organisations are situated around or near operational site. Does it make sense NLNG administrative headquarters being in Lagos when the actual work is done in ND. no sentiment here, we should take a clue from others. It is time we start correcting the many injustices of yester years |
This is interesting.. I think this Faruk man is deluded but not intentionally. The truth is that the north took the glory of the civil war not giving any credit to the Yorubas, the middle beltans( well they were seen as north then) and some south south soldiers who were self seeking to have betrayed their closest ally and they brag bout with this belief. When I read the story of that war I respect the ibos the more, for a small junk of the country to hold the whole country to ransome for three good years inspite of the federal might, strategy and armory. That said, I think the ojukwu seemingly lost that war, though it was declared no victor no vanquished by Gowon, because the West was against their secession, but if any tribe must take any glory I give it to the Yorubas led by adekunle and later OBasanjo. The northern divisions were utterly humiliated cos of their lack luster approach and strategy why it pains to hear that watery and loud mouthed Faruk talking thrash. From the point Fani Kayode raised, am not surprised, becos an average Yoruba man is deceptive and tricky. They can betray you anytime, what matters to them is interest, y when you make them an ally, you really get to watch your back.. This is another fear I am harbouring in this new quest for true federalism if the Yorubas ll not play Awo again and betray the struggle when the north gives an overture that ll favour them but so far I love what is going on... More beer! |
Cross check your facts before misleading this forum.. Are you sure the maintenance fee wasn't inclusive In that said amount? |
True talk my bro.. Ignorance can cause so many things. If only they under stand the politics in this country , many won't be toying this path. However, we ll continue to make them see the hand writing on the wall |
Lucky boy.. Next time, don't freelance |
The severance package isn't bad at all.. An investment of eight million and above if well manage can make any responsible chap live above the average line. Some of these persons still stand a good chance of being reabsorbed by the new firms |
ACN ll never speak in this manner in matters affecting their interest....shame.. Fear of Okupe is the beginning of ..... |
Kobojunkie: National Integrated Power ProjectOk nau, I have read your long epistle, still ruminating over your points or what you are trying to imply. Ok, you want to tell us that the projects didn't start with GEJ? We know that, save your saliva but may I ask you what about so many abandoned projects that were never revisited and resources wasted? Let me take it from this angle, you said something about 2007 completion date, ok, maybe you are indirectly saying these projects were completed since then and GEJ has surreptitiously delayed the info so as to take the glory now.. Help us cos we can't fathom your blabbing. |
GAR3TH: But this is what I'm talking about that people pretty much give their favorite political office holder in nigeria way to much credit. You guys are acting as if GEJ is doing this all by himself. Upgrading the transmissions and distribution infrastructure has been in the works for close to a decade and the road to privatization of the power sector has been going on for a while. The NIPP projects, even though it had it hiccups, was still in development for years. I mean I understand that GEJ is your candidate of choice but don't let your love for GEJ blind you of reality, Somethings already took place before he took office. And its not just GEJ, you will see it with Fashola, Ameachi and other politician people love blindly.Bros, ok nau, we don hear.. Na both GEJ and OBJ even YAR ADUA go take the credit.. Are u ok now? |
lacasa: Ɣou're obviously a confused oneMay be you need find out the role of a NSA.. |
lacasa: No smoke without fear.Always in the habit of talking rubbish. Do you reason at all? If the source were true which I doubt, how can you change a all security apparatus to strangers... We're the people on ground not professionals? Why can't he work with them? is there something he is hidding, cos this is surprising... He wants to put national security in the hands of his fellow northerners.. Nonsense |
No problem , just leave that guy and marry me.. I will make you happy.. On a serious note, are you sure it is not because you are seemingly better in status that is making you not find a good rhythm with him? You really have to be sincere with your heart and feelings.. But if you don't feel love for him don't risk it.. |
Hmmmm. No long thing.. Love, what is love? All I know is my love sees road and it sees very well.. Anything worth doing I ll do 4 it, not being stupid over hormones people mistake for love |
