People of Europian, or Asian origin aren't going to lose a minute's sleep over the desire of a blundering African President for black domination. The truth is Nigeria and its President are not respected abroad, so unless what this man said would affect the price of crude, it's of little relevance to Americans and Europeans. Sad, but true.

However, what Jonathan's comment shows, once again, is the man's lack of sophistication and self - restraint . We saw that with his infamous 'I don't care' comment in the much-publicised TV interview. As the leader of a country, and if you want to be respected as having an ounce of intelligence, you cannot make carefre e statements, especially when abroad, about wanting your race to dominate.

Also, if the President is so keen on race domination, tribe domination(Ijaw) must also be dear to his heart - any wonder some Nigerians already complain about a strong tribal bias in his administration.

If he wants Nigeria to become a leading nation in the world, and for him to be respected, he should talk less and use the opportunity he has as its leader to:

- genuinely fight corruption
- shun gangster electioneering politics, and
- bring about genuine economic reform to liberate the masses from the chains of poverty.

chucky234: Guy you don't need to speak pidgin because your English analysis is laughable,the released fund according to you has been used or consumed but you totally failed to list any tangible projects that has been embarked or completed in the last twelve months.
80% of the few on going projects were carried over from OBJ/Yaradua's administration,if 56% of the released fund has been consumed then ordinary Nigerian like me need to see where the funds were and how the spent.
I am not even in support of the lesgislooters as I have been campaign against them,you can check my previous posts where I listed their salaries and the huge difference with their counterparts abroad earns.
My aim is to see the funds accounted for,I have been asking questions about the N1.2tn borrowed by GEJ and NOI within twelve but no one has been able to clarify how the funds were used.
Ordinary Nigerians want to see facts (improved healthcare systems,effective water supply,standard roads,quality education) and big English inherited from Harvard as they are not relevant to the well being of Nigerians.
Stop rambling and dabbling like a castrated OX and be reasonable for once in your life.

Kobojunkie: When I read comments suggesting that she shut the senators up, I wonder what these comments really mean. All they wanted was to question her claims of 56% implementation, which is what they did. And the Nation learnt something yesterday. The nation was not aware, even as of last saturday, that when she said that Budget Implementation was at 56%, the 56% number ONLY applied if one knew the formula she/her ministry used in coming up with that number. There are those who will be QUICK TO LIE that they did but again, look in the Nairaland archives to see that all discussions have been around the assumption that the 56% Budget Implentation number applied to the total and not some utilized value, that information only surfaced this week.

Not a single person on this thread or any other on this issue even hinted as a special formulae for this computation. [/b]No one knew that, and if you go back to the articles with the story on senators calling her a liar, you will note that the calculations they applied to come up with the 30 something percentage actually makes sense, again, if you were considering the Total Budget and the amount that had actually been withdrawn. Again, no one has this special formula she revealed yesterday, until yesterday.

Kobojunkie: Correction: She is "supervisor" over all the ministries, hence she is the one to go to for information on budget implementation, current list of budgets across all ministries and status.

Kobojunkie: Whether they have anterior motives or not, is not what I am concerned about. We all sat here watching this same administration declare, only a couple of months ago, that there was no need for an investigation into the Subsidy program. When the Senate, and eventually the House decided to go ahead with their own anyways, people made the same assumptions you are making here today. Here we are today talking of prosecuting possible fraudsters and no one seems to remember that if NASS had not taken it itself to investigate, we would not be where we are today.

I am not going to hold brief for anyone, I don't care what they want to get out of this. What I care more for is that the Nigerian people at least get to know the truth of what is going on. This Squabble is about how your money, your mother and father's rights are to be spent. Aren't you a bit curious to know what is going on? How it is being spent? Where to look for this progress, when? Are you really going to tell me that you are satisfy with an 11 page Budget review document that barely includes information on specifics on any particular project, at the end of the year? That is all the documentation you want at the end of the year out of the billions of dollars being spent, supposedly on your behalf/your benefit?

Pataki: Sometimes the only way to get things done rightly is to take it to the extreme. I sincerely applaud Fashola for this one. At least those who have no business driving on the road should steer clear of the road. Just because you can start a car, press the accelerator is not a licence to start driving on the road.

PeeDaVinci: i have never been a fan of gej, and i will never be. however on this, i believe there is nothing wrong with the adviser's decision. the accused is not guilty until the court proves him guilty, and if the adviser believes that the accused has not stolen any money, he should stand by his friend (accused)
however, one more thing that the adviser has to do is to resign his position though - so as to clear this govt from any complicity in the trials of the accused!
