News like this gives some glimpse of hope.. The common believe now is that young medical professionals from Nigeria cannot get a placement into lucrative fields as neurosurgery in the US or UK.. well I think some things are destined to be.. Here is a Nigerian blazing the trail.. Congrats oyesiku |
News like this gives some glimpse of hope.. The saying these days now is that it ll be difficult or nearly impossible for the young medical practitioners from Nigeria to get a placement in lucrative fields as neurosurgery in the US.. but here is a Nigerian blazing the trail.. Nice one Iyesiku |
This thread has entered d 5th page and still counting..been an interesting read.. On d subject of discuss,I ll comment in comparative with the past leaders of the country and the level of structural and socio decadence prior to his ascention as well how advanced the country is.. The president in 16 months in office has set the ball rolling for the rebirth of a new nigeria, where conservatism and stereotypism( bus.as usual thing) is fast becoming a thing of d past.. This he's achieving by groundbreaking policies and frameworks most of which have been apt. This no leader except obj who attempted has done. The power sector reform is the 1st to yield visible results cos d initiative was given a serious reinvogoration by GEJ.. Others in public service reforms have saved d country billions from recurrent exp budget, Agric reforms being initiated if we fully comply will lead d country 2 an alternative economic heave and not only wil it create much employment for our rural populace but also help bridge d rural urban wealth distribution gap. The achievement in d transp sector were raised by someone earlier wch nobody has disputed cos facts speak 4 self.. For road rehabilitation, I just left lag dis evening and I sw d oshodi apapa concessioning wrk, saw d 3rd mainland bridge nd was also opportuned 2 plight d Benin Ore axis nd can tell works are seriously going on.. This gives credence 2 d other roads claims as published by thisday newspapers in May.. Are we denying the cleansing cum revelation of d oil sector? How abt d PIB as proposed? Isn't that loudable? In aviation, under dis admin did we meet d international standard on airways safety.. As I type d Kano airport rehabilitation is complete and works seriously ongoing in all other major airports.. No govt has had it this good.. How abt education where we now have an all time highest budgetary allocation in history, reasonable demands by ASUU has been meant, 9 fed varsities have been established and monies for kick off released.. Has any govt achieved dis feat? How about d ministry of Youth with d U win initiative and nysc reforms to encourage performance? Has any govt tot of such iniatives b4? These are just but a few but the point am driving @ is, the citizens need more but he who is faithful in a little ll be faithful in bountifulness.. Comparatively he remains d best 2 have ruled but may not be d best the country ll ever have.. Considering the country he inherited in May last year nd where it is now, the man has performed beyond expectations even in d faces of daunting voluntary political distabilisation as orchestrated by foes( d opposition party) nd friends alike cos of regional and religious bigotry. To even focus in d midst of these challenges is y the president shd be scored high.. It will take principle and dogged vision to stand as a president in a country like dis @ a time like dis.. People call Yar Adua, but may I ask what he did outside the rule of law which he entrenched? Amnesty was a success cos of GEJ.. He brokered truce by going 2 d creeks as VP then.. In what way has GEJ broken d rule of law? He strenghtened it 4der by signing FOI.. You may not like his person but don't ignore his msgs and commend him in tamdem with his works y we hope 4 more.. Abachas toughness didn't mk nigeria greater.. Violence attacks may not end BH.. The man is on course nd Nigeria is working again. |
This is good.. Pls more should be found in other states of the north so we can have peace... |
The last time I checked I still can't find any vacancy in Aso rock Rock in 2015... |
Send this fast to the front page... We know y the struggle fir 2015, it's about these oil wells whose licenses are expiring soon after 2015.. Let's see how it turns out.. We demand equitable distribution of our resources. Few families cannot control a larger percentage of our oil wells.. No! |
hassymo5: HIVO boy na you get HIV or na your opondo? Guy go retest yourself o whether that chikala don dash you |
There's is an expiring date for every product, I think mine just reached hers.... Moreover nagging and marriage pestering for a not ready guy also were cofactors. ![]() |
Moukafoam: Lazy guys that can't maintain a lady yet they want to climb mountainOutside mountain climbing what are theIr uses again .?.. They are meant to be climbed, other things are secondary.. QED |
Why are we exerting so much strength and energy on what will never be... I don't see a vacancy in Aso Rock in 2015.. Meanwhile enjoy the fresh air |
danjohn: El Rufai, if you are reading this post please hear me. Writing on twitter and commenting on issues is easy; however, taking down PDP will be hard. If you want to succeed in your ambitious quest, you have to get on ground, form a Political Action Committee, find young intelligent people to mentor, and use whatever is left in your rolodex to raise money to support these people to run for political office. As the young people in your group become more relevant, they too can bring in more fundraisers and recruit more young intelligent people who can contest against PDP candidates across the country and take them down one by one.A very sensible comment.. But is El Rufai fighting a genuine course fora better country or he is a self seeker who is fighting for survival in a political landscape he has lost? |
Who cares who and what this political nonentity fights... He can hung himself if he wishes..a frustrated being.. |
Nice piece but tell this to Boko sponsors and stop gloating over an evil agenda that are now backfiring.... Truth we are all affected irrespectively of race, religion or culture but they will feel it more.... The northeast needs another 10 years to get to where they were before the crisis. |
Bukkyade: Let's exercise caution in believing some of these stories from media houses without any verifiable source. The story was just saying source sources. What is the source?Gbam! |
To you Nigerians talking trash here, may i ask in what ways you have contributed to the development of your country? All you do is vituparition even when some of you can't manage your spouse not to talk of running a family.. The least I anybody would expect from riff raffs like you is to pray afteral your opinion don't count.. |
berem: dont mind the hediot! he is actually waiting for God to come down from heaven and teach him how to rule nigeria! i dunno why some people dont think before dey yarn dust! smh!I have read some of your comments and have concluded that either you don't know how to talk or you lacked manners.. I least expect some of these careless talk from you , a supposedly married lady, except you are faking ID |
Well said mr president...with prayers we shall overcome .... |
A simple question was asked. Doesn't look like blabbing or false claims... He is an agent of govt who seeks to know the state of the roads via public pull so as to get back to the concerned ministry and agency. I would have expected a senile person who reasons like she or he has some brains to ans his question or shut up... I ply the Nigerian roads and I can say works are going on.. I would wish they accelerate their speed but I understand that road construction or rehabilitation takes time... So you ask me the roads are improving especially Benin- ore. |
We should shit this discussion.. 2015 is still a long time from now... The factors that will determine who futures will be predicated on events few months to the elections... Dreaming dreams is cheap just like talk is cheap but what matters is the actualisation of such dreams... GEJ still stand a very good chance of making history and winning the hearts of all Nigerians, foes and friends alike by the events that will play out in governance between now and 2015.. Nigeria is coming of age where Godfathers role may not have too much weight in the face of a strong credentials, where political parties will know the dangers of sacrificing merits on the alter self seeking agenda... Once power becomes stable, petroleum sector is sanitized, our transport and aviation system are working, our lectures no more see strikes as hubby and the economy is growing all of which are in the offing. Then Nigerians know who their president will be come 2015.. Till then let us focus on the project Nigeria. |
Only a diversionary tactics..OBJ knows better, he won't take himself to the gutters at his old age .. Is he a daft? Before2015, the country's slogan will be fresh air... We need not ask again. |
What can I see than to laugh.. People talk carelessly without reflecting.... Another parasite in the words of E K Clarke... LWKMD |
I rejoice with all Muslim faithfuls in this forum.. Let's be geared towards the building of a stronger nation.. God bless us all ... EID EL FITRI |
hillsate: The only reason you guys are making noise here is purely out of regional bias.I think it will be good to expunge that notion from your brain.. You call a spade a spade, am not Ijaw neither I my a fulani but a Nigerian so I can comment as dispassionate as I can on national issues.. Taking side on opinion doesn't make me biase except you are indirectly telling me that you are against the president because he isn't from your region. |
@OP I don't see how this suppose to be your nightmare, if you are not feeling defeated... Any lover of mr president on this forum would have done this and it is not your business to ascertain his motive...pls get a live |
I don't understand what Nigerians want anymore.. Our refusal to make some interim sacrifices on subsidy removal is what is causing all these.. The best the govt can do is exactly what they're doing and if i can remember, we clamoured for the names of the indicted to be made public..For now, they can only indict, it ll be left for other agencies to do their own part on prosecution, so far nobody is guilty until a competent law court says so ... What woud have been the best for our system is a complete subsidy removal though it will come with initial hardship which may not be so long depending how govt manages the situation but the opportunities it would offer would have been enormous..... |
Who give a hoot about them both? Are they worth this thread? Next topic |
I don't need to sing it loud.. Good things speak for self ... The testimonies are unanimous , that doesn't mean there won't be dissenting opinions.. Power is a big plus for this govt and as far as am concerned it is a cut and dried.. Am more concerned now with other sectors like agric and petroleum sectors as well of the min of works not to talk of aviation, then electoral reforms.. I can go on and on... This GEj man is touching every aspect of the nigerian state..am sure the testimonies of power will be said of othersetors before 2015... |
Demdem: for my area, its minimal improvement. Before now, we normally have like 3hrs light every three days. Now it has improved to like 5hrs every two days but that was after we paid heavily to buy transformers and some cable wires for NEPA. we are still paying though.my guy why is everything about you on the retrogressive? Are u in the worst slum of Ajegunle or you just make lies your hubby? ( no offence) just curious |
Arsenal will be great....... |
These monies have been released In hurry even if IWEALA would have loved to be more meticulous before the said release but nigerians have proven to be traitors by the events of the past month when the leguslators tried to intimidate her.. We nigeria's that she was protecting our interest by ensuring proper verifications of claims before frivolous releases were made joined those criminals to call for her head... The proTinubu and pro opposition here who have sworn never to give any credence to this govt 4 job well done even in the face of overwhelming evidence were at the fore front to call for releases even when some of us argued that the lump sidedness in the ways budget funds were being released in the past was the invitation to the massive corruption in the system because those projects implementation can't be monitored that way.. Since democracy is a game of no and the Nigerian state is neither hers norGEJ's so they are ceding to your yearnings so don't complain... God bless Nigeria. |
These house members should shut up joor! There constituencies project funds must have been released with this 300 billion, why won't tone change .. Did they have any case b4.? Or they were fighting a self seeking agenda. I pity who listen to their song. |
IBB, we are not deceived by this laughable speech.. You didn't denounce bokoharam, but only made an implied statement which any noncommittal stakeholder will do.. Be sincere and let's all hands be on deck to reposition this country. |
