2mch: With higher denominations comes inflation. Do you think developed countries are fools? If it was a matter of how much money to handle, would they not have predated us in issuing 1 million dollar notes? Now the price of everything is going to increase drastically, and we have the same level of income. It is also going to devalue our currency on the international market. Your purchasing power vs international markets will be much lower as people have less confidence in your currency. It all has to do with how people will view your currency. Issuing higher notes creates a panic in the currency market, the trickle down effect is inflation.I don't quite agree with your assertions.. The points you raised above could just be your psychology and it is the same way most Nigerians are thinking right now.. There are economic and market forces that determine inflation and cause currency devaluation not on the denomination itself.. Why has the dollar not been devalued even with their $100,000 , $10,000 or $5000 bills.. How abt Japan and other countries.. Ok, let's put Ghana in perspective with their hundreds of thousands of CDs their currency is even waxing stronger.. In as much as I don't advocate for this new policy, we should be able to tell ourselves the real issues other than looting and inflation .. The economists know so I expect them to sensitize us |
I still don't get how this note will destroy our economy.. As much as I don't subscribe t o the new denominations especially coins I don't see how it will aid our corrupt leaders in looting more than they are currently doing. Do u need naira notes to inflate contract or mk fake subsidy claims? Other countries have far higher denominations of their currencies and their economy hasn't scrumbled.. We should state what the real grouse is and stop pegging it on shallow excuses. |
I hate the new naira denomination, neither do I love coins and i as well subscribe to the cashless policy initiative but what I don't like is Dino Melaye taking innocent and jobless almajiris to the street for a self serving mission when more potent avenues haven't been utilized.. If Dino wants to be Desmond tutu or Martin Luther king jnr or Ghandi he has got to study the philosophy and thinking of these great men.. For now, he's abusing the last resort of struggle and setting a dangerous trend. |
Let me laugh Dino in Haiti , neheneheneheneheeeeee!!... This protest was not necessary.. You can't move faster than your legs.. The senate and the NBA had taken the issue up and besides Dino would have protested this perceived injustice in the law court.. The fact that Nigerians trooped out enmass to protest the fuel subsidy withdrawal which was justified to some extent doesn't mk him a valiant who takes to the street at e every single actions or inactions of govt. |
This garri talk demeans this forumat times as well it amuses so many at some other time or spontaneously.. Life is about choices but the choices we make must not be overtly obnoxious even to your conscience.. In essence, we should know when best to use certain words .. |
I keep asking this simple question on why Buhari is so bent and desperate to rule this country again? It goes beyond the love for your people even after they have rejected you for three(3) consecutivee elections I.e 12 years running and are still ready to reject you for the 4 th conductive election calendar I,e 16 years.. Buhari is desperate for personal vendetta with no interest of Nigeria at heart.. Buhari couldn't have been saint as he makes the uninformed Nigerians believe.. He only played to the gallery by his performance ( though mired with the highest abuses and retrogressive laws in the history of this nation) to win the hearts of Nigerians in favor of his unpopular coup.. Whatever the reason mayb , Buhari has got no reason to scuttle our nascent democratic process then. Democracy evolves with time just as we can feel the improvement from 1999 to date.. 1983 elections were characterized by irregularities agreed but did Buhari's coup put an end to election rigging after he left? Nigerians should be braced for more revelation on this bigot who has no campaign agenda for Nigeria except harping on corruption without evn telling us how he will tackle the corruption if elected... |
No need commenting on this topic because the Buhari story is the one long lost.. Buhari remains perpetually unelectable and can never be the president of Nigeria.. Thanks to hell Rufai |
ilugunboy: So say, what is your problem with a Nigerian getting an Invite to the DNC?I have got no problem with it to be frank.. Ayo Oritsejafor was invited before the US congress recently.. The problem is Tinubu being too cunny and crafty.. Instead of addressing issues he ll rather use the opportunity to tell the world lies and fabbles abt the Nigerian govt and PDP... He is way too unpatroitic and ambitious to be reasonable.. Well, he might just be an observer anyway |
ilugunboy: You are a bitter and envious soul...that is a bad cocktail for a human being....it makes you die silently without you knowing you are dying. The day I become envious of Tinubu is the day I become overtly unambitious.. I don't envy propagandists and rogues who are only good at derogating their opponents to score cheap political points.. Go sit down, 2 naira bootlicker |
ilugunboy: Is that English in Igbo? You must foolishly show yourself.. I saw the 'dies' but chose to leave it that way because I know imbeciilic trait like what you have portraited will display their lack of cognitive function to decipher simple semantics in a statement.. I pity you |
Elueme: Tinubu must have lobbied and prayed for this invitation since God knows when.. I beg enjoy am joor it was a piric victory,. after all you may never achieve more than this with your loudness.. Always showing off..just thinking what he is gonna say in that convention? An election rigger and an emperor.. What legacy dies he have left? Just thinking |

Imanuelle: If YOUWIN 1 was a failure, why should we bliv in YOUWIN2??...and may I ask you how many percentage of Nigerians are on or active NL users? If you depend on the testimonies of NL users to confirm the workings for over 160 million people, u sure are a failure. |
alaoeri: The most painful thing is the program won't be throw open same padipadi & arrangee stuff.Don't make move for it if you, your girlfriend or mother are interested.. Just sit and use your mouth to discredit a good idea,, a typical Nigerian. |
Why are the north and her leaders always jittery at any move for true federalism in this country? To make matters worst , they still will not be humble to accept that they are nothing but parasites, lol.. True federalism is the key to developing Nigeria.. Regions / states should harness and manage their resources with the supervision of the FG and certain percentage will be paid to the FG... Northern leaders are too lazy to develop the north while their mouths are wide open for black gold.. Smh. |
kennz: Who d hell is d first lady? Let her die after all wat benefit is she to me. Dnt giv a damn abt herHave you heard of a dying tree still standing while te iroko falls abruptly? Becarefull what you wish others cos you might be wishing same to yourself.. Seek the love of God and you shall have peace. God forgive your harshness |
Get well soon mrs Jonathan... We still need you.. |
Hmmmm.. Now I can see where the pendulum is swinging and I declare the Ohanaeze the wise ones... They are reading events squarely and the theory of " the enemy of my enemy is my friend" is finding its footings come 2015. |
Ethnic bashing is becoming a nuisance on this forum.. It could harm the image of NL if not addressed now.. I w on't canvass for a ban but appropriate measures needed to be taken to curtail this thread,, |
Ok now. I have heard and i also know that there ll be no gains without pains.. Next topic |
The south east elders just on point.. GEJ deserves a second term just as people before him did. Every attempt of intimidation from any quarter will be resisted.. Only the people of Nigeria can say no not any cabal.. From the rate the president is going even his worst critics will have a change of mindset before 2015.. Am enjoying the fresh air. How abt u? |
I vote for true federalism. I support any group, ideology or philosophy in favour if it. This pseudofederalism will not lead us far |
Nnaji's Interest if true deserves to emerge successful as a compensation to his selfless and tactful contributions in repositioning the power sector.. just too un,fortunate he has to resign due to conflict of interest wch bigots are busy blowing out of proportion.. Resigning your portfolio due to such conflict is a very common and honourable occurrence which is an indicator that we are getting it right.. |
Chanchit: Na wah o.... Hmmm, let me keep shut, cos if i talk now, them go say ma own too much... #i'm out of here#LWKMD..chei!! Walahi u be comedian I Go Die |
This perpetual loser will never retire to enjoy his old age.. Wonder what Buhari left in power that he must get at all cost? Are there no younger and competent people in Buhari's party that can be president of Nigeria? For one man to occupy the destiny of a political party for 16 yrs running is a collective insult on the sensibility of others.. I think Buhari's agenda is bond by evil and must not be allowed to fruition.. Will he even campaign in other zones except north ? Let's discuss more important issues |
Now it is becoming obvious that this malam has realized how disgusting he appears before Nigerians and he's trying to be civil.. Well, it is never too late to repent of your evil... But it will take a very longtime of being reasonable and PR to launder his self battered image... However, GEJ has an open arm and a very forgiving heart and the last time I checked the umbrella was still wide enough to accommodate even deviants like him... The earlier the better |
Buhari, it is called nemesis.. It only takes time but surely catches up with evil no matter how small or big, motive being genuine or not... Maiduguri and sorrounding cannot be the same again in the next 20 yrs because some bigots calculated wrongly... Now, the common men are feeling the heat but soon they can no longer bear and will clamp on these same elitist class who have surreptitiously out of greed facilitated these onslaughts on the innocent citizens of our fatherland. |
So elrufai has chosen to make sense nd stopped being stuupid... This one na slow motion, action go soon resume.. Shameless goon. |
Must we believe every scrap read.. Another revelation ll come tomorrow on same issue.. Let's focus on the next turn of events and forget our ugly past.. |
Is she the Fulani wife? She made sense with her statement anyway.. I agree with some of her positions. |
Science is advancing.. Soon we ll get a cure for this menace... |
Enjoy your ill acquired wealth in isolation man! |
