I don't see the point of Samu going to the under 20 WC when there is AFCON. If there was no AFCON, fine but he can not play two tournamemts.
If we look at d two tournament/team, super eagles is not in dire need of samu,we av capable hands who re already playing in his position with or wout him in d team but in d u-20 he would b highly needed in d team;I.e his effort will b highly appreciated in d u-20s dan eagles

But his calibre and increase in market value wise,he shld go to afcon cool

Lol. Why would I feel that way. I have nothing personal against the guy. I just don't like the unnecessary calling of Mikel's name when we don't play well or when our midfielder don't create enough. Is it good to have only one creative midfielder in an entire team that is past his prime? You sef think am. I'm saying the truth and we all know it. Just look at our goalkeeping dept. When you fail to plan, you plan to fail. That's what is happening right now to pur goalkeeping. So, if Mikel talk say him no play again, we won't go to AFCON abi? God forbid he bags a long term injury that rules him out of contention for this year, we will start crying like babies? Mikel this, Mikel that....abeg, let's focus on developing /scouting younger and more creative midfielders than yammering on and on about how Mikel absence affected our play in a game.

Remember how many of us here stated that Vic Moses was equally indispensable... Hope we can see that others have stepped up to fill his shoes. We won and we will win games without Vic moses. Same with Mikel. Adrop of water doesn't male an ocean. Mikel will not play all positions in the team. Let's give it a rest already
Gud talk cool

How many matches has Siasia won as a first team coach?

Siasia record as a super eagles coach was extremely poor, fine he wasnt given on a full time basis but he knew d problem first hand b4 agreeing to take d job when offered twice,so had it been he qualified us in dt precarious situations,he would take d hype, and since he failed,he shld also take d blame cool

This is the double standard conundrum.

One minute we say there is no age cheating in Nigeria. That people are too biased towards Nigerian players.

So we can not have it both ways.

My view is very simple if you are 45 and you are still performing continous consistent top quality football, you are invited. You can not and should not be upstaged by a younger player by assumption.

The assumption of quality with age is a very spurious one particularly in Nigeria.
Mr unbiased emotive grin,I was speaking in general terms reason y Nija players dont get to play on @age 30 dey usually claim cool, only enyeama did dt, u knw gk case its different, d older dey re,d more experienced and better dey become cool

I hope rohr is not trying to retire mikel

But to be sincere in the naija national team it's so hard to see players who plays past 31 apart from Joseph yobo ,enyeama was a goal keeper,I am even tipping mikel to play till 35 ,only God knows of that will happen

But in others national team so many players plays till 35 ,but it's very scarce in naija

When you are 30 dem go say him don old na ,as in too old 30 ? Na wa oo

Even taiwo was retired from international football at the age of 26

Only few naija players can play past 30 in the national team ,the rest go disappear before that age
because @ age 30years(football age),in Nigeria,d official age is at least 35years and above grin grin,@dt period, deir body most times can't cope with d physical demands of football

@taiye taiwo...retired 26years..lol 26years my foot grin grin

As tall as Onuachu is, yet, dude is more athletic than most our players with lower centres of gravity. He was so mobile that most times I wondered if he was a DMF or a striker. Mehn, dude was everywhere.

I still don't see any reason for Mikel's inclusion into the final squad. It may sound crazy but I think he has paid his dues and its now time for others to step up to responsibility. Over-reliance on Mikel will cost us big time
