Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode, has revealed that Gbenga Daniel was aspiring to become the Secretary-General of the Federation, SGF under Atiku Abubakar if he had won the February 2019 Presidential election.

FFK however mentioned that Daniel's decision to quit the PDP for APC is sad and tragic, especially when Atiku Abubakar is still fighting to retrieve his mandate.

The Controller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (rtd), has promoted Comptroller Bashir Abubakar of Apapa Area Command to an Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) after he rejected $420,000 bribe.

In the year 2018, Mr. Abubakar rejected a bribe of about $420,000 from an importer who wanted to clear a container of Tramadol.

Tramadol is a pharmaceutical product prohibited under Nigerian laws.

The abuse of Tramadol is known to have dire health consequences among the population.

Overweight Police officers in Thailand are currently undergoing a weight-loss training at a camp as part of a nation-wide program aptly called “Belly Destruction”.

After the success of a two-week pilot program, police stations in Thailand have begun sending their fattest officers to the Central Police Training Center in the city of Pak Chong, to take part in an intense physical activity designed to adjust the size of their bellies.

Each station will periodically send two to three overweight policemen to the centre, where they will work out, ride bicycles and adopt a healthy, protein-rich diet to shed as much extra weight as possible.

The Belly Destruction program started gaining attention after photos of overweight police officers taking part in the daily exercise routine went viral online.

“There are so many problems if you’re a fat cop,” Senior Sgt. Maj. Sornpetch Chantarak, a dietary enforcer in the new program, said. “You work slow and move slow as you go tumbling about. That’s unacceptable if you’re an officer tasked with arresting criminals, since you have to be deft and go quickly.”

Super cop, DCP Abba Kyari while reacting to allegation he told one of the suspects in the Offa bank Robbery to implicate Senate President Bukola Saraki, said he is working in the interest of Nigerians.

Abba Kyari who led the arrest and interrogation of the suspects said a lot of people are aggrieved in the on-going case, but he believes Nigerians should allow justice to be carried out and not listen to rumour peddlers.

No bodies recovered from the wreckage of the ill-fated Ethiopian Airline's plane, the airline’s spokesman said on Wednesday.

According to the unnamed spokesman, who was questioned by Rueters, only fragmented remains survived the impact and no bodies were recovered at the crash site.

“There were no bodies,” he told Reuters.

The black boxes, which record data, were found at the crash site in Bishoftu, Ethiopia and will be analysed in Europe.

Germany's federal agency responsible for investigating air accidents will not analyse the black box, after a spokesman for the airline said the country would take care of that.

All 157 people on board the plane died in the disaster which has rocked the global aviation industry.

The owner of Lagos collapsed building, Mr. Akinmoladun has been rescued from the rubble, according to a statement made by his son, Erinoluwa Akinmoladun.

Erinoluwa also revealed that the affected building was under the management of a developer, identified as Mr Giwa who had been managing the building since 2010.

He said:

“When I came home this morning, as I was walking on the staircase, I observed the building was giving signs of weakness and I told my father about it.

But I couldn’t wait to know if he took any action because I left home in a hurry to attend to other things. I left my father and sisters at home.”Erinoluwa said his father has been rescued, as he joined other rescue workers to evacuate the victims.

A university drop-out has built a £2,000,000 investment trading business within 12 months of quitting his course and he is advising young people to drop out of school today.

Jake Lee, 20, said further education was ‘one of the biggest cons in the world’ and he has encouraged others to take a risk and quit their course. Jake left midway through his economics degree at Loughborough University.

He launched a business called Improve Your Future, which helps people make profits trading currency online. Jake now drives a £120,000 BMW i8 and has offices in Canary Wharf, London, Metro UK reports.

He said:

‘I had an amazing time at university and it was a big life experience – doing your own washing up and cooking dinner.I was always a mummy’s boy and never experienced it before.

‘It made me grow up, but I was going out all the time and I lost my focus for business.

‘I’d say to others at university to sit there and think about the process you’ve been through to this point. ‘All it is about is passing exams, from GCSEs to A-levels and your degree.‘It’s one of the biggest cons in the world.

Society makes us believe it’s the right thing to do – I fell for it.

‘You have to be brave and take risks. It’s changed my life.’

Jake, from Borden, Kent, now employs seven permanent staff – all aged under 25 – and 13 other freelance workers, with plans to make more full-time roles in the coming months.

He dropped out in the second year of a four-year-course and began renting a desk at £150 a month.

The trading business took off and was recently valued at £2,000,000.

He plans to increase that five-fold by the end of the year.

An Abeokuta big boy identified as Sdj Teeman has been caught with used sanitary pads in a suburb of the ancient city.

The young man who reportedly bought a car recently and goes about living flashy lifestyle within the city, was paraded with the used sanitary pads and some other assorted charms.

He however claimed to be a DeeJay, but couldn't explain the source of the sanitary pads, some of which still have traces of blood on them.

A check on his Facebook page shows that he is quite respected in the town as he recently celebrated his dating anniversary with his girlfriend and many of his friends and associates took to his page to celebrate with him.

He made the revelation via his Instagram page just a day after Kim Kardashian posted the video of a choir making a rendition of the song, with a live band.

She had captioned the video, "Sunday Service" as it appeared like the choristers were in a church while Kanye West headed the group as he orchestrated the performance of every member in the choir.

A Nigerian soldier has been compelled by a truck driver and his colleagues to pay him a sum of N100,000 after damaging his tyre.

The incident reportedly happened on Thursday at the border town between Benue and Nsukka, Enugu.

A soldier had shot the tyre of a petrol tanker because the driver wouldn’t give him bribe.

However, the driver angrily steered his tanker across the road and blocked other road users.

In solidarity, the victim’s friends also drove up with their trailers and blocked the entire road, stopping all movements in or out of Enugu.The driver then went ahead to demand for N120k for his damaged tyre.

Soon, an array of policemen arrived to intimidate him, but he stood his ground.Eventually, the driver reduced his demand to N100k after so much pleading and the soldier made a bank transfer to him.

The missing house help in Lagos, that had her photos circulated across social media yesterday has been found. But she refused to open up on where she spent the night.

According to a report by a Facebook user Possible Oge, the house help identified as Amarachi was brought home on Sunday evening by a good Samaritan who saw her around her area and recognized her as the missing girl from the photos circulating online.

Italian player Mario Balotelli went live on Instagram to celebrate goal while on pitch.

The controversial footballer showed off the new goal celebration on Sunday as he took a selfie video with his teammates and posted it on social media during the game.



The Italian scored his fourth goal in six Ligue 1 games since joining Marseille from Nice in January by hooking home Florian Thauvin’s 12th-minute corner with an acrobatic volley.

He took a phone from the cameraman behind the goal before filming the video with his laughing teammates and posting it on his Instagram story.

The 28-year-old then carried on playing.

Nigerian rapper, Jesse Jagz, has revealed in a new interview that he doesn’t listen to other people's music, except for the ones he self produced.

The artiste made this revelation while speaking with Punhcng.com where he also responded to other questions bothering on his music career.

Jagz said:

“I don’t listen to other people’s music; I just like to do my thing. I create my own music and I motivate myself. I feel like everybody is doing fine in their own way but I just stay on my own lane. The only person I can put my money on is me.”

The rapper also disagreed with the opinion of some that rap music is fast dying in Nigeria.
