Regarding the payment plan, you have to make a deposit of £3,000 before you can be issued CAS. Then you’ll pay 50% of the total outstanding tuition fees on or before the start date for classes and the outstanding balance on or before the end of two months or is it three months? But that’s the pattern, so just prepare your mind. Wishing you all the best.

Hi, I intend to apply for the master's program in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Chester starting in October 2021. I will like to know more about the availability of student jobs there because I plan to cover part of my fees and living expenses with wages gotten from my part-time job. Also, you mentioned that you know someone that finished from Chester. I will appreciate if you can help me find out about their payment plan. The people to self isolate in the hotels to pay the £1,750 are people coming from countries marked as red list and Nigeria is currently not part of the red list countries.
“ How to book a place in a quarantine hotel and arrange coronavirus (COVID-19) tests if you're travelling to England from a country on the banned travel list.” (As seen on the gov.uk website, please visit the website for more information on this).

This is true, from Monday 15th February all international flight passengers especially from the red zones will be taken straight from the airports to a hotel to isolate for 10 days at a cost of £1, 750. If you are visiting that’s most of your shopping money gone.

You seem to be on a dilemma because you are ‘transferring’ standard visitor visa requirements into a Tier-4 visa requirement.
You do not actually need to show any evidence of hotel or BnB or hostel or any accommodation at all.
If you have sorted all other issues as per the T4 guideline, this shouldn’t be a headache at all.
Just relax and get some chilled zobo to sip.

Hi everyone, please I need your input in this. @Justwise , please your input will be appreciated.
I have been placed on the accommodation waiting list in my school so I had to list my temporary hotel accommodation in my application and also submitted my reservation printout alongside my application.
My question now is that is it okay if, assuming I get a cheaper temporary accommodation with Airbnb and eventually have to cancel my initial reservation. Would changing the accommodation listed in my application be an issue at POE?

I will advise you to wait for the 28 days to elapse as you won’t be issued CAS if the money isn’t up to the stipulated number of days in your account. Worst case scenario, you’d opt for priority visa application and get your visa within 5 working days since you’re racing against time.
Secondly, no matter how hard you try to hide your previous refusal, you’d eventually be found out and I want to believe you know the implication of that; your visa could be refused and you could attract a penalty of being banned. So please, be as open and honest as you can in your application.

Hello Nairalanders,

My Uni has asked me to provide roof of funds for 28 days before CAS is given.
They also said I have to provide a letter of previous refusal if there is any so as to advice on the Visa process.

1. The problem is this is the 20th day and I want to know if it advisable to mail them and send them a copy of the bank statement explaining that its just the 21st day and that I dont intend to apply till the 28th day period has elapsed as I know the implications of applying earlier than 28 days.

2. I want to try this route because the CAS according to them takes 5 working days after submission of the proof of funds and the tuition deposit. If I fail to do this, I might have to wait till the 28th day before submission which means an additional 5 working days-a luxury I cant afford as resumption is 16/09 while the latest date of arrival is 25/09.

3. I know the importance of stating previous refusals when applying to the embassy but I dont know the implications if not disclosed to the school. The refusal was a student visa in Ireland back in 2013 due to negligence.

The questions are basically to know if you’re a genuine student or otherwise. They’re random questions like why did you choose Salford Uni, why the course? Why the UK? About your future plans after graduations, knowledge of your course and the modules as well as how they relate to your career plans etc. Just expect any question. You should also try looking up “UK tier 4 visa Credibility interview sample questions” both on google and YouTube. Wishing you all the best in your application!
