Use new portal, it’s more easy to set up.

There’s a section you’ll be asked if you’ve done biometrics in the past 10 years, click yes.

How did he do his biometrics if he doesn’t have his UCI? He should check the biometrics request letter he took to vfs, UCI number is der.

Good morning guys, I have two questions to ask

1. A friend of mine international passport will expire in 9months time, can he go ahead to apply for visiting visa, his brother want to send an invite for a weeding in the month of August, would there be any column later to notify them of the new passport

2. Secondly he has done bio metric before in 2019. Is he going to do again after submission of application now, or the formal bio metric info will appear in his new application.

1-4weeks is okay. Applicant can choose to stay up to 6 months wen Dey land.

How long can only be answered by ircc, you can’t predict their mode of operation.

For document, focus on home tie (job, investment, properties, families) n also write a good sop.

Financial requirement will depend on your purpose of travel, make sure you’ve enough funds to cover ur trip and something to also fall back on after your trip.

I am not sure this is applicable for Visitors, just for Study permit, Work permit or; Super visa and it's LOI, whilst others call it POE.

-2 duly signed consent forms.
-2 copies of passport data page
-Passport Request Letter
-Yellow biometric slip
-Receipt of payment of transmission fee
N9,410 (you will pay this fee if you didn't capture biometrics at Abuja VFS)
-A paper with your contact details: name, phone number, email address, home address.

And do I need to still have the same money in my bank statement I used to apply in 2021? Or I can just have enough PTA(cash) without having funds in my Nigeria account I used to apply? Like will they check it at the border

It’s the same, the purpose for this visit is the difference.

Just have enough money to fund your trip, either cash or account.

BVL: April 29, 2023

PPR: May 24, 2023.

I also had to write a letter to them today at exactly 1pm. I received mail by 1:16 pm to check my portal.

Please I received a mail from VFS that my passport is ready for collection however they don’t accept in person pickup I have to use a courier service. The thing is when I sent my passport to vfs Lagos I paid the 1 way courier fee and sms fee I attached the payment receipt inside my envelope. But I have not received acknowledgment of payment for either services I paid for… I didn’t receive any sms now they the envelope is even in Abuja Vfs and I paid to Lagos Vfs account.

Please what should I do?

In person collection is still available from 12-2pm. Since you’ve paid, use the live chat section on vfs website to ask for update.

Can anyone provide the ircc number to call! It’s urgent !

These are the steps;
Step 1:
Call this number with the Viber app: +1-800-267-6788, it's ircc client call center number.


Step 2:
Press 1 to use the service in English.


Step 3:
Press 2 to connect to ircc

Step 4: after connection to ircc, you would listen to a message for about 30 seconds just be patient till they tell you the buttons to press. You'll be asked to input your uci number if you have, just to save time press 2 that you do not have a uci. Although when you connect to the client call center agent he/she will ask you to provide your application details which includes application number, uci number and other relevant information.
Point to note: if you're calling in for someone you'll have to fill in the ircc imm5455 consent form.

Step 5:
after step 4, you'll listen another message again like step 4 be patient till they tell you which numbers to press. press 3


Step 6:
after that the next number you'll press is 1 to talk to make enquiry about your study permit application or press 2 to make an enquiry about your PR application.


Step 7: the final number to press is 0 to speak to an agent.

A friend had his passport missing! Few days later BVL and ppr landed. He has got a new passport replaced but different passport number! How should he go about it with ircc with the ppr expiring in 10 days ?

Send mails and Webform especially to Lagos and Abuja asap. If possible call ircc.

Hello folks,
I am a PR applicant and my application is still in progress.
However, my wife is pregnant due to give birth soon.
Our concern is that she lives alone in Canada and will need the support of her mother Inlaw(my mother) for omugwo.

1. Please is it possible to apply for a visiting visa for my mother while my application is still in progress?
2. Can she invite her mother inlaw with just her employment details but a low account balance and still state that she will be responsible for her upkeep?
3. Is it mandatory that the VV applicant must have some money in her account?
Lastly, can we state in that application that she will be visiting for the purpose of postpartum care and that she will be staying for 3months

Please, can anyone advise on the best way to go about this?

1) Yes, she can invite her
2) She can’t claim to be her sponsor without enough funds. There must be enough funds to finance her stay. POF and home tie is the most important part of visit visa.
3) Not necessary since she’s not financing her trip, if she has something in her account it’s not bad. You can also state she’s going for postpartum care but I will suggest she declare 1 month. 3 months is much and also the funds available is limited. She can choose to stay up to 6 months when she gets to Canada, she can also apply for visitor record if she choose to stay longer than 6 months.

However my brother’s passport will be expiring next year April, we are considering renewing his passport before sending it when they get the request. Do you think this is a good idea?

You’ll need to send document for Sowp stamping. Contact that if it’s possible.
