Your passport is still in Abuja, it will be sent to lagos. Lagos will send you another mail once it’s available for pickup.

I applied for a Canada work permit in January and added my wife and kids to the application, so we all applied together.

Thankfully it was approved and we received ppr early May. We’ve since received our stamped passports from VFS.

The thing is that the PPR wasn’t sent for my baby. They said his final decision is still being processed. I initially thought it would come days after ours, but still no show. I have a job already, my wife has gotten one too and promised the employer she’d be landing in July.

What can we do to expedite this process and has anyone been in similar shoes? I’ve sent several webforms to no avail.

Please help!

Flood them with emotional mail, don’t give them breathing space at all. Let them know it’s not possible to leave your baby behind. Once you choke der papa, they will reply you. Kids can’t be denied when parents dn get ppr, so nothing serious is delaying the ppr.

Just got my stamped passport, all I can say is thank you Jesus. I can finally see the loml after 10 months. The journey wasn’t easy but finally worth it.

This thread gave me majority of the information I needed n I promise to always assist in my own little way.

Closed means a decision as bn made. If there’s visa document on the tracker it’s an approval. She should check her portal for the decision.

Photocopy your international passport and write your tracking number on it.

I really would like it if that VFS is changed, they don't even have mercy on children at all, such a disorganized Organization.

I swear, imagine charging 18k+ for one way delivery. After charging that high, I’ve not received my passport and it’s over 4 business days.

Even the biometrics transmission, it’s not like they’re getting new hardware to get it done. It’s well o.

Put biometrics request letter. Some people were not given any slip during der biometrics. That shouldn’t be a problem.

When making a life changing decision make sure you’ve in-depth knowledge about it, don’t just put your life in ppl’s hands. Research and weigh your options. Well know naija isn’t easy, don’t take steps you’ll regret.

I don’t have an idea about Europe work arrangements, if na Canada just try to search for LMIA jobs, it’s not easy but still possible if your skill are in demand. You can check the close work permit thread.

So I know someone who submited her passport on Tuesday and collected on Friday. She recieved emails everyday until her collection. So today is my second day of submission no mail came in today, then I decided to track it only to find 'your processed passport is been forwarded to the canada visa office" and it still states yesterday's date (my submission date) hope it's not stuck ND what does it mean?

Means it had bn sent to vfs. From there it will be sent to ircc office for stamping.

Which comes first eligibility or background verification? I applied early May this year. Eligibility on tracker has not started. Background verification is in progress. Is this the usual pattern? Anyway to speed it up as my intended date of travel is June 25th for a wedding. And so far I’ve seen people that applied and got final decision all within a month.

Eligibility comes first, background check will run until your passport is stamped.

Ircc mode of operation can’t be predicted and they don’t really care about when you’re meant to travel. They’ll approve when they’re ready to. Just send mails and webform as reminder.

Sent my passport to VFS Abuja via courier, it was rejected when I tracked it on Friday, I was contacted by the courier service that VFS wanted me to make some payments which I did and forwarded the receipt to the courier service for them to help me attach it and send it back to VFS, it was finally delivered on Monday but I didn’t get any acknowledgment email from VFS till now.

Hope all is fine or am I supposed to do something?

If it has bn delivered to vfs, don’t worry you’ll hear from them.

It depends on your flight o. Minimum I’ve seen is 19hrs, my own flight is 22hrs
