I tried adding all family members to the same application but i was only able to add six people. My last child could not be added to the application.

1, do i need to apply for her separately?

I don’t have an answer to the first question. You can try the other portal. If you’re using new portal, try gckey or vice versa.

You can only pay with naira card if you’re buying from wakanow or naija third parties. Airline website will require you pay in dollar, you can only use usd card.

Check Egypt air, Ethiopian airline, klm, Air France. Make sure no stop over in usa or 2 European countries.

The reason I'm asking is that I applied since 2020 and no decision yet, not even bvl.... other 2 parameters completed ... Background check in progress since March. ... if they'll eventually make a decision even if it takes another 2 years

They will definitely give an answer, eligibility completed means work as bn done, probably background checks is delaying or the VO in charge is really slow. Have you reach out to MP?

The experience with KLM was equally smooth, i mean there was free WiFi from LOS to AMS then to Toronto. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the meal from AMS to Toronto. Other than that, everything was good.

Well it’s all my fault though, at the declaration stage I filled I was would be spending 60 days , while my application was just 10days I indicated I would be spending in Canada.

I also declare some food stuff and meat and fish. The officer pull my application started asking me questions from my application , like are you married where do you work , why did you not come with your wife , you apply since 2020 and you did not apply for your wife ?


He ask about the nature of my job , I told him I am an engineer , I explained everything about the job like say na jobs interview.


The funny thing is he ask me how much do I have here I told him 2000k usd cash, he said he want to see it , I could not find the money I left 1500 usd in my wife’s handbag at the airport. I was shock.

So I told him I will use credit card to pay for accommodation, how much do you have access to the card I said 5k usd, I login my bank app I have over 10m there.

Where will you be visiting he ask, I name three places, he for 2 months. Then I told him I will be visiting my brother and friends.

Hi, I recently did biometric for visitors visa meant for conference. It’s up to 1 month and I haven’t heard back from them. Does it take this long? How long before I hear back from them?

Only ircc can answer how long, my application took 8 months, some over 2yrs and other 3 months. Just take your mind off it n hope that process it on time.

Not a bad option if in Canada already as a permanent resident since cost will be cheaper. From my personal observations, diplomas are typically not given significant recognition in the job market unless they are specifically focused on health-related fields.

Im talking about the quality of knowledge that will be acquired not certificate. Tech job is more of what you can do than certificate.

Your husband should apply for Sowp, if the kids are below 5yrs apply for visit visa. If they’re above, then study visa.

It’s not always about the money but how you got the money. Did you explain your source of fund with documents to back it up like employment letter, pay slips, CAC registration, invoice of sales etc.

I will advise you order your note, that will give a better explanation on VO’s reason for rejecting the application. Once you tackle that in your next application, na PPR by God’s grace.

The journey was a long one because i had a long layover in amsterdam.

My point of entry encounter with immigration was smooth. The immigration officer was happy for me for finally visiting my spouse and was concerned why i am not living with him yet.
So it was more like a conversation. He only asked of the food stuff to be sure there is no meat and where I will be staying in Canada.

No return ticket or number of days question was asked.

I thank God for the journey mercies.

Paying for fast tracks and bootcamps are not worth it in my own opinion. Even if it's 100$. There are lots of sites that have Udemy courses for free.
Bootcamps certificate and Tech coach add no value to resume.

What about enrolling in a continue studies in colleges like York University for 11 months course in Full-stack website development? What will you advise a newbie trying to take this route. Thanks

I know, and I understand you well. Am not talking of statement of account, But I just think that since someone can change the visitor Visa to work permit, you can actually pay back.

No institution borrow money to visitors, study loan is even limited to few universities.

Borrow money for conference ke, to even see loan for study isn't that easy. Don’t include borrowing to fund your trip in your application o, you’re expected to use flexing money for such purpose.
