It is always a thing of great joy for one to get the Zenith of his career and honorably retire in good health. Yesterday, the 24th day of August 2016, therefore, holds special memories for the man of the people, Deputy Comptroller General of Immigration, Brascar Ifeadi as his superiors, colleagues, friends and family gathered in his honor. The colorful event was hosted by the Delta State Command of the Service at Asaba under the watchful eyes of the indefatigable and workaholic new Comptroller, Mr Yerima. It was indeed an unforgettable event as the event which boasted of three former Comptrollers General among many other dignitaries was used to extol the admirable qualities of the retired Dcg while in Service. The event finally came to it's climax when the retiring DCG in an emotion - laden voice thanked both the organizers and guests at the event for the honor done to him and the family. This was immediately followed by the ceremonial 'pulling' out of the retired Dcg signaling the end of his career as an Immigration officer.

His Excellency Olorogun Senator, Felix Ovuodoroye Ibru, CON, the first executive governor of Delta State was today laid to rest in his Country Home in Agbarha-Otor in the Ugheli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The funeral which was more of celebration of life had in attendance the very cream de La cream of the Society prominent among whom were Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, the incumbent executive governor of Delta State.
Others include the immediate past governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, Prof E J Clark, Senator James Manager and a host of others.
Late Senator Felix Ibru was also a one time Senator of the Federal Republic and the President General of the Urhobo Kingdom.
During his lifetime, he touched the lives of so many people especially in his home town.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

It's unfortunate that the Police whose primary duty is protection of lives and property are today being charged entirely with different responsibilities. You see them at malls carrying handbags for the very rich in the society while another dozen of them is waiting in the car for the same person. You see them at the private homes and Companies of these super rich people holding the best of rifles with double magazines. At filling Stations, they are the go - betweens if you want to buy fuel by not joining the queues. Mean while the few left in the Stations and on patrol are left with obsolete rifles to guard me and you. It's a terrible situation.
If just two hundred youths could have a field day in broad daylight and destroy a whole Catholic Church without the arrival of even one patrol vehicle, why won't some well equipped militants know that they can kidnap a monarch from his palace without a single challenge?

In an ideal situation, age 18 which is the acceptable age of adulthood in most civilized Nations, Nigeria inclusive.
Secondis a situation where the children fend for themselves. In this situation who sets the rules? Answer is no one. Societal influence and need for daily bread set the rules.
For instance many girls of 14 and 15 years of age in places like Warri and most parts of the Northern States are already mothers.

Right from the days of creation, it has been a man's world. Adam had been in charge of things until he allowed Eve lure him into sin which saw them out of the garden of Eden.
Today, almost all relationships with men in firm control have purposeful direction . This might be why David was able to successfully have 700 wives and 300 concubines to his name. We were never told of any woman who married so many husbands.
In our today's world of "what a man an do, a woman can do better ", our women are trying to outdo the men in sexual immortality but where does that leave them?
