Contrary to popular stereotype on this issue, I am constrained to note that since this news made headlines yesterday, I have been worried. The seeming silence of the Controller General further made It more confusing. Without fear or favour, I want to state that watching a woman being beaten up even on his behalf is NOT and I repeat is NOT in the character of the Dr Ekpendu that I have been privileged to know for years. While I do not rule out the possibility of overzealousness of aide I personally refuse to believe the account of Dr Ekpendu watching a woman being "slapped" by his aides. If this is a calculated aattempt to stain his spotless and enviable record simply because he is an Igbo man, then be assured that it will be resisted at all cost. Oh lest I forget, were there no cameras around the NASS Complex or were they not working? |
Always Linda and her sisters. Doesn't she have brothers? Anyway, still love her loads |
Today the fight against kidnapping in the Country seems to be suffering different forms of hindrances daily. However , some State Governments have shown their determination to wipe out this evil by passing laws that carry the maximum penalty of death for kidnap cases. The law enforcement agencies on the other hand have, continued to demonstrate great commitment to the fight against kidnapping. This they have demonstrated by the training and retraining of their personnel, acquisition of equipments and inter-Agency collaboration. Despite all these efforts, some people are daily begging to be kidnapped thereby creating more jobs for Security Agents. First among this group of people are our celebrities... Recently, our celebrities have taken over the social media displaying wads of foreign currencies. This is a new trend among the young talented ones who have hit gold at tender ages. Earlier today , an ex beauty queen, gushed this morning on tweeter, "woke up this morning N3 million richer" Please don't forget all these flaunting of raw cash and obvious wealth are in a Country there are so many jobless youths who are finding it extremely difficult to have one decent meal in a day. The next batch are our lawmakers who have continued to demonstrate so much insensitivity to the sufferings of the people. Imagine gratifying themselves for whatever reason reason with a jeep of N36 million Naira each. This to me, is the height of Impunity. Our religious leaders of all denominations, as you flaunt your private jets and palatial mansions, remember the hungry ones in your flock. Wealth is good but flaunting it unnecessarily is courting trouble. A word they say is enough for the wise. Peace. |
coolebux:Bros, you harsh ooo |
I hate thieves but I go crazy when I see anyone destroying another person's valuable without provocation. Please help suggest more painful punishment.

When you encounter these heartless imbeciles, the safest and quickest way to save other unsuspecting members of the public is to report to the service provide . In this case, call mtn customer care on 180 and report the number. I assure you that within hours of investigation, the number will be blocked. Thanks though. |
Achuwa1:My dear brother, which part of the planet are you from? Danladi Umar is not facing any bribery or corruption charges. The efcc has already cleared him of all charges. |
Still wondering how you happened to be alone when the RPG was shot at you. And why would a sane man waste 3grenades on a single soldier instead of making a minced meat of him with a few 7.62mm bullets? Anyway, happy for you, just that you look too clean and 'together' for one who just had a close shave with Bh. |
Oh sure! Super comfort, stable and ruggedly elegant. It's better described as C R U I S E! |
DropShot:Must you dignify someone with a leaking mouth by answering him? Is NASS efcc or ICPC that investigates corruption? Don't waste your breath on people whose mindset does not allow them see anything good in the wonders happening in the Country today. |
There's always one or two media houses in every Nation that serves genuinely as a watchdog for the people of that Nation. Unfortunately, here in Africa, especially Nigeria, we have not been so blessed. However, out of the blues, Sahara Reporters emerged. Like or hate them, they have continued to make waves. The latest and the very first of it's kind is curbing the excesses of National Assembly by getting and releasing their personal numbers to the public. Today, less than 48hrs, the amendment of the CCB/T act has been suspended. Wow! Often I have listened with rapt attention as people argued passionately in favour and against Sahara Reporters. Personally this 21st Century World class journalistic outfit first caught my attention with their short video clips of " keeping it real with Adeolu " {hope I got the name right). Ever since then, they have continued to weigh both sides of the coin in an unbiased and balanced professional investigative journalism. All these notwithstanding, many believed and still believe that they (Sahara Reporters) tilted the scale in favour of PMB with their in depth investigation and analysis of the mood of the pre election average Nigerian. Little wonder many believed that they are APC's media warhead until it started blasting the same Party. Undoubtedly, these guys are out for business without minding whose ox is gored. My fear now is, will they continue like this or will the 'Nigeria factor' catch up with them and turn them into a curse for the Nation? We are watching. |
The world we live in, is indeed mysterious. A recent incident in one of our neighboring Countries has left many especially promiscuous men shivering with fear. A young lady, Lind , after battling with poverty for so long was convinced by her friend to go into prostitution. At the early stage, the decision seemed an answer to her financial and material needs but not for long. Soon, they started loosing customers as younger girls ventured into the business. In a desperate bid to regain their lost popularity, Linda and her friend sought spiritual help from a popular herbalist and business started booming once again. Unfortunately, men soon started avoiding both of them as any man that sleeps with them ends up dead. Not long after, having been without sex for a while, a live snake crawled out of Linda's private part hissing repeatedly, " I want sperm " Sounds like fairy tale? Sounded same to me until I watched the video..... |
Been wondering how long it will take before someone addressed this man's excesses officially. My question is, what is the penalty for economic sabotage against the Nation and doesimmunity come into play here ? |
What number is the REAL baby?
|
Why is the guy heartless? Accept her back ASAP so she can poison you at the next available opportunity. A woman that will hear stories about you and without investigating will start calling you names. Even if she investigated, then she believed her friends rather than believing you. Bro, you have no business considering taking this viper of a woman back. Funny enough, she is not even ashamed of telling you the major reason of wanting you back which is spelt C O M F O R T! She said it's been two weeks since she left Lekki and her uncle's place that they are putting up is not good enough for the mom' s health. This simply means that if she had a comfortable place to stay, coming back to you wouldn't have been an option. Abeg run jare and thank God for the deliverance. |
Copied: THE RAPING OF A NATION AT THE SENATE! In a shameless show of banditry and treachery that looked more like a broad daylight gang-rape or armed robbery of a nation than lawmakers passing bills, the Bukola Saraki Mafia cabal at the Senate, presided by Ike Ekweremadu, hastily passed the Code of Conduct Bureau Act (CCBA) and the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) amendment bills through their second readings in just three days! This is the fastest for a bill, in recent memory. Insiders at the Senate reported that 36 Toyota Landcruiser V8 engine Sport Utility Vehicles were allegedly purchased and distributed as bribes to the Mafia cabal, to facilitate the hurried amendment of these two bills, which directly affect Bukola Saraki's pending court cases for forgery, false declaration of assets, grandeur theft and money laudering. This is what happens to the laws of the land when a criminal gangster like Bukola Saraki fraudulently becomes the Senate President. The shambolic theatrics of the bills amendment was initiated by Senator Nwaoboshi. His motion was supported by Dino Melaye, who thought that the proposal was justified. The Senate Chairman of Ethics Committee, Sam Anyanwu, also supported the amendment. Other traitors who supported the bill during the debate include Senator Biodun Olujimi, who said "if you don't support your neighbour when his house is burning, it will extend to yours!" Senator Yahaya Abdullahi supported the bill, but added insult to injury by urging the Senate to be “mindful” of public perception, due to wrong timing of the bill! But his hopeless statement was rendered even more useless by Senator Abu Ibrahim, who supported the bill and unashamedly said that "the time is right!" The CCBA and ACJA amendment bills have therefore fraudulently passed their second reading today. They are now forwarded to the Senate Judiciary Committee for review, which will report back to Senate in two weeks time. Fellow compatriots, let us give the fraudulent Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over this show of shame, a dose of our mind. Let us call or text Ekweremadu on +2347034033888, +2348075757000, +2348065290996. If the traitors have balls to bastardise our constitution in broad day light, we must have the courage to react lawfully. This is a bad day for democracy in Nigeria. Finally, please note that 26th April in the new date for #OccupyNass to #ReclaimNigeria from the traitors. May God save Nigeria and Nigerians. Amen. Please circulate generously. Together we can stop these thieves! Dr. Idris Ahmed. @CUPS_Nigeria. 14/4/2016. |
Why is this man making fun of governance and Ekiti people? Giving handouts to a few Ekiti people out of millions of it's citizens is a big slap on their individual and collective image as a people. I was expecting to see trailer loads of food items only to see two hilux trucks. What a laugh! Even T B Joshua as an individual feeds thousands more and with more quality food than this handouts. Where I come from, it's believed that a man you give fish daily is one you want to remain in bandageand slavery . However, the one you want to be independent and self reliant, you TEACH how to fish . I honestly weep for Ekiti people and pray their blindfolds will come off their eyes |
Applause! Sentimental speeches like this always have us rolling on the floor with praise singing but let us look at available facts ; 1. Onitsha - Enugu express way is a death trap and no more passable as motorists today use the old road 2. Enugu - Oboloafor road is a death trap making a journey of one hour to now last for several hours. 3. Enugu - Abakaliki Road is a death trap. 4. Enugu - Okigwe Road is a death trap. With all due respect sir, in what way (s) have you attracted the Federal presence to us? I read through this long speech hoping to find in it, the areas where we have been marginalized specifically but couldn't. I think some of us are really getting tired of those we believed so much in, failing us and coming to weep up sentiments of marginalisation. You are still the Deputy Senate President and still has time to write your name in Gold, Chegharia ma Chigharia. |
The Holy Bible is indeed complete. Hosea 4:6,says " my people perish for lack of Knowledge". Someone should tell this publicity seeking pastor that ; 1. The Lord God of hosts can reveal anything he chooses to whomever and from wherever he chooses. If I still remember well, 'the earth and the fullness thereof belong to the Lord. 2. T B Joshua is a prophet and not the Chief of defense Staff. The little I can remember, great kings of old fought wars eg Saul, David etc. They only went to the prophets when they needed to hear from God. So I ask, why must T B JOSHUA. be the one to defeat BH? |
The traditional norm of starting public functions with Christian prayers and ending with Muslim prayers or vice versa may soon be a thing of the pas . A move in this direction has been initiated by the National Orientation Agency and is surprisingly gaining support. It is believed that this has become necessary so as to primarily accommodate other citizens who are neither Christians nor Muslims but at the same time help in the promotion of the second stanza of our National Anthem. Albeit this would cub the excesses of emergency Pastors and Imams, the second stanza of our National Anthem truly contains all the necessary prayers we need in this Nation. While many might not appreciate this, a recent function that played host to both Mr President and Vice President and where thesecond stanza of ourNational Anthem was used as opening prayer is a pointer to the fact that this might soon be the norm. |
calaway:Thanks. It's needless reasoning with someone who has a mindset. In a couple of months from now, please let's re access the situation. |
Leboska:My brother, you got it all twisted. The Chinese Yuen changes at 6.7 to a dollar and 30.7 to a Naira. So instead of importing at the exchange rate of about N320 to N325 to a dollar, you can now pay in the Chinese currency which translates to about N199 to a dollar. My dear, remove tribal and religious sentiments, is it not a better deal? What honestly do you think Buhari stands to gain from selling Nigeria for a penny? |
Mack3N:My brother, there's no need for insults. It's okay if you don't believe in my way of reasoning. Free style abi? |
DaBullIT:Thanks brother, I thank God there are people who still reason with their heads rather than their anus. I am being called names and cursed because I said the truth. To God be all the glory |
Luckylife:You are right bro. True Igbos don't believe in stories, they believe in facts. I am a living testimony to the ingenuity of the man called Buhari. As for my ancestors, I laugh because I know that even the osus and ohus are the first to throw tantrums with the word ancestors. |
adenine02:Sir, I cannot die because you asked me to. You are not God. Surprised that you even got people who liked your display of ignorance. I didn't invite you to my turf. You are not bound to believe in what I believe in also. So why the curse and hatred? I forgive you bro but you really need to grow up fast. |
calaway:No sir, for the first time in decades, this Country has a huge hope of survival. Trust me |
Our problem in this Country is always throwing away the baby with the bathwater. For the first time in the history of Nigeria, a '' dullard and Cattle rearer has been and still is the only light at the end of this tunnel called Nigeria. The latest feat of the currency agreement with China has left Professors of economics hiding their faces in shame. I am not an economist but let's check out this simple scenario ; Mr Fayose is an importer from China. Before this agreement, he exchanges his Naira for the dollar at N320 to N325 to a dollar before he could import from China. Now after the agreement by Mr Dullard and Cattle rearer, Mr Fayose can now pay for his goods straight from any Nigerian bank at exchange rate of about 30 Yuen to a Naira. Besides, forcing down the pressure of the dollar on our foreign reserves, I guess the Government's official exchange rate of N199 to a dollar will become more realistic. What about prices of goods? These are definitely bound to drop. This dullard and Cattle rearer has been and still is the only light at the end of this tunnel called Nigeria. The last major infrastructural Developments in this Country, the building of the Refineries were during his days in PTF. Decades after that he has resurfaced as the President he is again talking infrastructural Development and rather than applauding his will and determination, our religious and tribal blindfolds are forcing us to castigate him. What a shame! I am a proud Igbo man and I love my race and my people BUT UNTIL PMB DERAILS, I REMAIN AN ENEMY TO ANYONE THAT CASTS APPERSON ON HIM. |

Rukkydelta:Please do, our stay here on earth is a temporary thing. |
tankara1010:My dear brother, must everything be marginalisation? Our brother Ifeanyi has an issue which he needs to resolve, how is it cutting him to size? Warri Port is not functioning as that of Lagos because of the activities of Community touts who have continued to chase investors away from Warri. Shell Petroleum (SPDC) for instance closed shop and moved to PH. That means all the oil servicing firms that employed thousands also moved with them. Talking about PH, are you aware that Dangote's Refinery being built now in Lagos was sited in PH but had to be re located when several communities started fighting for supremacy of control claiming ownership of the land. Imagine the several thousands of jobs lost and billions of Naira lost in terms of other Servicing Companies the Refinery would have attracted. Is that marginalisation? I think comparing activities at the Enugu International Airport with that of Lagos International Airport all in a bid to prove marginalisation is most unfair. The International Status of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu was but just yesterday in comparison to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Lagos that is as old as Nigeria. Let us look inwards and stop screaming marginalisation all the time. Our problem is often sabotage against ourselves. The very reason why up till today, Anambra State DOES NOT HAVE AN AIRPORT. |
VivianUdeogu:Nne, that is a dangerous wish and I pray that God will never answer it. Can you name one single thing that Fayose has done for Ekiti people besides sharing cups of rice on the streets in the name of stomach infrastructure. My dear, Obiano though I hardly know him has proven to be a visionary and purposeful leader. He is several milestones ahead of Fayose. My dear, Fayose is a drowning man. His immunity expires with his tenure and all he is doing is to pave way for himself when he starts seeking asylum in any of these Countries. With this move alone, he has registered himself as a political enemy of this administration to the Chinese government. So, if tomorrow he decides to seek asylum in China ,the Chinese government will have reasons to believe him. Fayose is a drowning man my dear. Don't be deceived. |
