Lion123:Yes investors buy stocks or invest for different reasons. It's traders that focus mostly on price. Some people can even buy a stock to prove a point. So as an investors no matter what you read or analyst are saying or recommending they are just a guide; at the long run everyone will have to invest base on their own individual strategy that works and their set objectives The fact that investors come to the market with different objectives make the market dynamic and interesting. |
ojesymsym:You can't say exactly. Anytime there is an available buyer who agrees at your price there will be a deal. It can be in minutes or days or weeks etc |
Justcul:The directors already told us what they are up to. Same N16 dividend just like last year http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/32630_DANGOTE_CEMENT_PLC%20ANNOUNCEMENT_ON_AUDITED_FINANCIAL_S.pdf |
vacanci:No. |
Oakbranch:AIICO bonus not credited waiting for SEC approval according to Coronation Registrars. PZ and Neimeth dividend already paid |
Akerewe:The guaranteed rate is benchmark with SDF and doesn't change except if there is change in SDF by CBN. The additional rate is anything above the bench mark and it's dependent on fund performance and not static. The reason why there will always be additional interest is because from there the fund manager and other parties to the fund get their fees paid |
emmanuelewumi:If it's VGIF max 48hrs cscs 72hrs. Sincerely completing d form online is faster from experience. However, if the form was received after noon you count from the next biz day. |
Akerewe:Currently guaranteed rate is 4.5% with an additional interest that can get your total earning to around 8%. The payment is twice a year and like I said earlier if there is upward rate adjustment it also affect your funds in VGIF |
Akerewe:I want to suggest you keep the money in VGIF and continue to top up while waiting for the next SUKUK. since you can always enjoy any upward adjustment of rates and you can exit VGIF when you wish. |
Akerewe:Yes with the price changed the yield changed as well. |
Akerewe:Without going to any technicality just understand basically that once a bond has been offered in the primary auction the price, yield/rate on that bond will never be the same again when it's in the secondary market. For this SUKUK 3 now or any bond in the secondary market the price most likely will be higher than what it's at the primary auction and the yield lower. So buying now I doubt if you will get 11.2% as it's in the primary auction. The only time you get everything as it's written in the bond document is when you buy and hold to maturity. Hence you notice that most discerning investors will not want a reopening bond. |
Akerewe:To buy a listed bond is just like buying a listed coy on the exchange; if there is a seller then you can buy. Since you have a cscs account already that is what it takes. You give a purchase order to your broker and if available they will buy for you. However, if you wish to go along with investment one, the first thing is to open a cscs account, you can do that online just click on the link on my signature and complete the online form once it is opened we take it up from there. |
chunkuli:Yes credited. |
speak2lift:Prices of stocks rises or falls as a result of market forces: profit taking, demand and supply, investors expectations, economic news, government policies, investors/traders sentiments, activities of market markers, investors reaction to earnings from coys, general economy status etc. So movement of price is not only by reason of dividend payment. |
netzro:From your question and the amount involved I think what you need is a fund manager not a trustee. FNQuest trustees is a unit company in FBN holdings their job is different from what you intend to do. For FBN fund managers visit FBNQuest Asset Management 16, Keffi Street Ikoyi. or if you don't mind you can come along with investment one and invest in VGIF a mutual fund that guarantees capital and interest of 4.5% and a promise of additional interest that can take your total interest to about 8%. Since you don't want online PM me so that I can get your email and forward the account opening form to you. Visit investment one office at Maryland before Idiroko Bus stop Ikorodu road or 37, Kofo Abayomi VI whichever is convenient. Reach me with the details on my signature if you need further clarifications |

debostar:You did not mandate the one you bought from investment one. Most likely you did not use your previous CHN while opening the account with investment one. Don't worry it's a simple thing to rectify. Send a mail to Veritas that they should update and mandate your bank account on your recent purchase, They will pay you when done. |
kayuscares4u:Simple. Open account with the more active stockbroker and use the same CHN you already have while filling the form. When account is opened, Approach the new stockbroker and all necessary forms for the transfer will be sent to you. You can do all this online if you decide to go with Investment one. Click on the link on my signature to open a new cscs account with investment one because we are very active online. I'm sure Ione will meet your set standards. |
Now that SUKUK III is listed if you wish to trade on your bond and you don't have a cscs account, Kindly click on the link on my signature to open cscs account with Investment One for free and sell if you already have or buy if you wish have it on your portfolio. |

ukay2:The sugar dey sweet them na and they want the sweetness to continue in the family even after they are gone - generational sugar! |
debostar:Buy in trenches, at the current price and if they pay N3 you will have more than 15% yield. If it goes down more better. Remember no analyst can predict the market 100% |
vacanci:Registrars only mandate shareholders account if they have holdings in a particular company. If you tick a company you don't have holdings in, it's not valid. You tick when you've already bought the shares. When the system is queried for a particular company for the shareholders and your name is not out, no action will be taken. |
vacanci:Request it from the broker where you have zenith and fill in the particulars as stated on the cscs statement from the same broker. What cscs will be looking at when processing the form is at least one transaction you did on Zenith shares. If you have zenith with the two of them just pick one the other will be covered. |
vacanci:That is the name the form is called. it doesn't mean you are transferring shares to anybody. Actually the form is very important when you are moving your shares from paper to electronic form. The reason for it now is to enable the registrar capture your signature specimen to compare with whatever is on your e-dividend mandate form. Other registrars may not ask if they have your specimen signature one way or the other or it's also possible your e-mandate has not be processed by those registrars. As earlier advised send a mail to Morgan Capital or any stockbroker you are using, asking for transfer form. Check some of my earlier post. I answered someone who needed to know how the form is filled. Don't worry once it's processed you will still get your dividend in full. Even in the new finance bill your dividend is valid for 6years before any government can borrow it. |
Donbrig:Thank you @Donbrig for being there to help out. |
lastbornop:Base on your objective and from my experience I will recommend VGIF for you. VGIF fits well to your objective especially if you pick the reinvest interest option for your interest. Your capital and returns are guaranteed. Top up can be any amount and at any interval. To open account for free click the link on my signature. You can also call/chat me for further details if needed. |
purleesh:The penalty is that you lose 10% of the accrued interest on the sum you are withdrawing. If you have a million for example and you want to redeem 500k after 3 months you lose 10% of the accrued interest on the 500k not on the 1m. At anytime you terminate your capital can never be lower than what you brought in whether up to six months or less. |
NL1960:Not really Sir. If you buy Tbills of 364 days at 6.5% at the end of the year the investor in VGIF will have more returns. Apart from the 4.5% Guaranteed rate, you will have additional returns which can take your total returns around 8% conservatively Not only that, if sdf changes upward which is very likely judging from the economic realities your rate in VGIF changes upwards as well; This is not possible with Tbills. Again in VGIF you can terminate your investment after six months without penalty but if you do that with Tbills the investor will not have the whole of 6.5%. For me if tbills of 364 days is not up to 10% I will still prefer VGIF. |
emmanuelewumi:4.5% |
Biafran4life:When it comes to operations priorities differ in the various units of the Holding company. Realities differ from what is on paper most times. You should be able to get FBNQuest through FBN but it may waste your time. The best thing to do is for you to be at the specific company in the Holdco that is in charge of what you need. In this case go to FBNQuest at kaffi Ikoyi. |
