Something that is rushed into more often than not the lifespan denatures quicker on average there are exceptions of courseclaremont:are you serious? of course people change after marriage, their whole lifestyle has changed. . .their status (as parents) and they are constantly evolving as individuals and a couple, how can someone be stagnate after such pivotal life experiences . . . in fact I'd be quite worried if my partner was the same in courtship as he is in marriage ![]() |
@OP----If your partner was a doctor and had to diagonise a nude patient, how you gonna feel
In all honesty I would not feel threatened. I know there are anomalies but many of those situations are not engineered to be "romantic" or secrete attraction . . . the "nude" patient more often than not is the one that feels vulnerable but of course I wouldn't mind if my partner was a Doctor ![]() claremont:. . .well at least someone is beginning to consider if such attraction becomes concrete . . . |
claremont:erm not quite lol, you gathered the data that was pleasing to you and thus fits in your side of the argument - ha! the context is laid bare my friend. |
Lol @ Mrs. Chima and ice234 deniyor:That is correct, such partners are obviously aware of what the occupation enquires of their other half . . . but I can't imagine it being easy for some people to watch their loved ones make out with another individual. I think I'll be numb to it even though I feel such intimate connection could be a gateway or catalyst to further attraction - after all some relationships onscreen translated into real life regardless if one or indeed two of the actors were in a committed relationship. However for that duration of that actors role I do believe he/she seizes to be the partner of their other half, and when someone adopts another persona such person may momentarily not be attached to their previous partners . . . I think |
Nayah:merci beaucoup Nayah et au revoir ![]() |
If your partner was an actor and was required to participate in a kissing or love scene with another colleague. . . honestly how do you think you would feel? |
The Danger Of "Love At First Sight": Ambiguous Attraction I hear this phrase employed countless times . . . "love at first sight". . . Yet the birth of such a "love" stems from a physical attraction thus leaning more to lust. Well, despite the debate of whether such attraction is rooted in love or lust, what if:- . . .the beholder is beguiled by a person with an ambiguous look, thus "falling" for an individual outside their orientation; in that particular instant of "love at first sight" does a person's sexuality evolve? e.g. If I was drawn to a lady who I assumed was a man would that sub-consciously expand my sexual orientation? or is that just a one-off? Which leads me to question the sanity and safety of "love at first sight" if the object of lust is absolutely anonymous. . . |
Bawss1:Lol don't mind dem, come to think of it Obama too dey look Nigerian sef ![]() |

No, I would not marry my age mate. I would prefer if my partner had a 15 - 20 year interval. There is a lot to learn from elders. . . |
Oh my gosh! disgusting. . . I was eating as well . . . you could have at least posted a link or warn viewers . . . I feel sick ![]() |
I've often wondered what would have occurred if Adam and Eve had at least one child before their downfall. That child would not have been born into sin. Adam and Eve spent years in the garden and communing with God, yet in all that time as husband and wife it appears they did not consummate their "marriage" or union if you like. . .until after they had sinned. I was wondering why procreation never occurred before the advent of sin because they must have known about reproducing as God commanded them to "be fruitful and multiply" and after Eve had sinned the punishment that God meted out to Eve was to experience the pain of child birth. Thus I concluded Adam and his wife must have had knowledge of such affairs despite the facts there appears to be no evidence of their intimate relations before they sinned. Another striking scene in the Bible is after they both ate the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowlegde , it appears the innocent scales in their eyes had fallen and they became aware of the fact that they were both naked and "they were not ashamed" . . . so a naked "married" couple were not aware of their unclothed state before they sinned furthermore possibly never even had any relation together until post-sin . . . ![]() I wonder . . .or maybe I'm missing something. . . |
Good question OP. Our very existence is a miracle within itself and points at a creator ![]() |
lefulefu:You know what? . . . the only reason I scanned this thread was to check if my favourite comedian was yarning more unstained pearls of wisdom . . . una never disappoint. . . consistency is a good trait in a man sha . . .carry go lol |

lefulefu:you fit reach ask Claremont, abi naim tok say "love na mental illness" ![]() |
na wa ooo Claremont come and see "real love" and tell me say e no dey still exist ![]() lefulefu if only your imaginary oyibo kele knew she was soley employed to arrouse the attention of another set of women ![]() |
claremont:I find it quite interesting that you equate love to mental illness. . . madness is not easy to comprehend fully and evidently so is love which is beyond scientific scope and as such has many tiers attached to it . . . I have noticed something remarkable with scientist, any concept that science does not comprehend, or beyond it's realms of reasoning is automatically dismissed and it's existence is questioned, you want Love and God and etc to conform to science how can a being and a concept greater than Physics, Chemistry and Biology be employed to try and encapsulate them . . .even when you try to scale it down into digestible quantities you lose a certain essence. I wouldn't use an A4 printer to xerox an A1 image unless I wanted to capture the abstract. Claremont, you have pretty much chosen to keep your eyes wide shut. You are so conditioned in the belief of the absence of love that even if infallible science proves the existence of love it would be very very difficult for you to accept even after your "hard-core validated and factual proof" Just because people have divorced doesn't mean that love does not exist and just because people have married doesn't mean love exits in their union. pendo89:lol I'm walking right behind you to that exit door . . . |
Love does exist. |
Personally I've never understood the inclination or preference to a particular colour, well I am an artist so I suppose that's where my wholesome appreciation for the entire spectrum comes from ![]() |
Congrats Paris and thanks for the invite but I'm a little cautious and shy to meet someone from the internet let alone a whole band let alone a bunch of nairalanders. . . but all the best! |
@ Phatwall, great to know I'm not the only one harbouring such thoughts and I've listened to that piece before but thanks for sharing. Relax101:Yep I know about Nneka, I'm a fan as well. . . I like the fact she actually talks about the issues hampering Nigeria especially ND . . .oh and Lagbaja is another good Afrobeat musician as well. |
Mcleo007:That's quite alright buddy no need to frown, or did I say something to offend? ![]() |
I have noticed the rise that Hip life has had in Nigeria and in some areas of the Continent however could a xerox ever be appreciated over the original? That's why I bring up Afrobeat. . . Afrobeat is steadily rising and evolving (and it has even forged a way in British Society for example) yet many of the promoters are non-Nigerians sadly. Afrobeat is perhaps the musical genre that could challenge reggae in my opinion as the original components and objectives are pretty similar, i.e. political lyrics etc. . You see how many Nigerian artists dey copy Yankee artists if only they knew it was these same Yankee artists that gbadun and xerox Fela. It's not bad to make music for entertainment but perhaps substance could be a focus as well and being "original no artificiality" - many outsiders even seek African music that are more true to their roots plus much esteem and credit is given to original artists. It's good to stand out and not blend in, and the best way to stand out is to be pioneering. werrin una dey tink? |
