. . .yep . . . it's just my thoughts playing overtime though . . .you know I just wonder if someone was to recite a particular scene/verse over a period of time they could either grow de-sensitized at such repetition or it could begin to take meaning in their lives . . .I'm just teasing out meanings though. . .

^ nice to see u back. love your purple short precise answers.
Agreed.

Would feel nothing. That is his profession. Not all married couples have insecurities.
. . .alternatively insecurity doesn't have to even fit in the equation. I recall an old interview with Fergie (who was dating an actor at the time) and she admitted that she enjoyed watching her boyfriend act love scenes as it turned her own . . .

Nayah:
Hi my dear, I would think this is his job, in fact I've leant that I shouldn't show off my frustration or any insecurity because you have to be confident and having strong mind, then he'll respect you more since he'll see you're understanding and not weak, and it counts for the future knowing you can count on someone who's mentally strong

MRbrownJAY:
what has that got to do with FEELING SECURE?! and by the way, how do you EVALUATE such issue?! care to show us all what are the signs that a man loves a lady more than she loves him?
What the hell! I'm only relaying what I heard first hand . . . I never said I hold such notions so I have nothing to present to you since it's not my belief!

I threw in a suggestion ok, maybe she wants to feel safe and secure that the man (whom she expects to love her more) will not be capable of hurting or betraying her etc in the long run or perhaps she feels she can even get away with certain things . . .  keyword in that sentence was "maybe".

FashionRe: What Colour Of Suit/Dress Would You Choose For Your Wedding? by emofine(f): 10:59pm On Sep 22, 2011
If my time comes I will opt for native attire (despite the nationality of my future spouse) but it must be unique in it's design . . . I love the colour brown . . it complements my skin tone cool

I refuse to have a "white wedding" in any shape or form.
who is talking about discrimination, sister huh huh huh huh  i think you didnt get me. i am talking about UNITY IN DIVERSITY.
Ok what I meant when I used the term discrimination is because of your stance you are prepared to overlook other women from Nigeria who do not happen to be from your tribe but then again that is completely your prerogative and I don't see anything malicious or wrong in that.

we tribesmen (and women) must preserve our tribes and culture, yet at the same time work together, for the progress and development of our nation. whats wrong in that huh huh
Well I do agree that culture must be preserved but remember culture is not static and I would be lying if I said I don't see any pros in such stance but even if one doesn't marry outside of their group people still adopt foreign culture (because we are all interdependent) whilst some even forsake their own.

Oh and of course someone like me - who hails from a tiny ethnic group - may feel the need to marry from my own group so as to encourage our population (I think in cases like such there is probably an urgency in implementing such ideal) . . . but like I said earlier it's your right to marry from your group just as I believe another person has the right to marry from the group they please . . . I'm not trying to undermine you it's just my opinion sha.

PoliticsRe: Israeli Success: Nigeria Will Abstain In The Un, How Pathetic! by emofine(f): 8:10am On Sep 22, 2011
It's not pathetic, it's realistic and feasible.

When someone makes a decision you have to evaluate the factors that are involved.

a) Nigeria's religious composition will be influential to such voting and thus will make it very difficult when voting for or against as it has the potential to become inflammatory in Nigeria . . .

b) As someone has already mentioned there is a religious bias in the country, when Nigeria routinely rotates from a Christian to Muslim president. . .if a Christian Nigerian president was to vote against then a Muslim successor may vote for . . . therefore shifting equilibrium thus our vote could keep on swinging.

c) Nigeria too has her own interests to serve (perhaps the government values her relationship more with Israel . . perhaps) . . . must everything revolve around western interest?
I'm sure if Nigeria had voted in favour of Palestine there will be some suggesting that Nigeria is holding onto the Arabs interest etc. . . . .no?

To me the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians should always always come first . . . we cry when our country doesn't put us first then we moan again when she does . . *sigh*

Well just my little opinion sha and I support GEJ on this one.

Wow. So this "progressive mindedness" thing permeated this much into people's skulls. Nawa.
By 'dictate', I'm guessing you mean 'pressure' undecided . . Anyway, I don't see what's so wrong in that.
. . .only if it affects the person such as family or potential in-laws but quite frankly I don't know what business a random stranger has to be "pressuring" anyone on who they should be marrying . . . I don't know how he/she could be affected by another strangers choice (well maybe except when that stranger is from his tribe or alternatively wants to marry from his tribe undecided)

. . .anyway my 2 kobos have been spent.

FamilyRe: Can Abortion Ever Be Justified? by emofine(f): 3:53pm On Sep 21, 2011
In my own personal opinion I feel abortion is only a method when such pregnancy has the potential to kill the mother but for other situations I think adoption will be more suitable.

I find it ironic when many people who argue for abortion say that the child feotus doesn't feel any pain when the first sense that is developed by the embryo is the sense of touch undecided

anyway just my 2 kobo.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Terrorism: Britain Joins The Fight by emofine(f): 8:07am On Sep 21, 2011
It's funny how Britain is supposed to be revising their expenditure currently and cutting funds in other areas such as education because they simply haven't got enough capital yet when there is an oil laden country damsel in distress they are ever willing to play knight in shining armour and  offer assistance despite their ailing economy. . .

. . .anyway this boko haram nonsense is getting way too serious, I have to admit I'm not surprised with this recent development I expected it to happen.

@ topic

Should Nigeria be proud of speaking Pidgin? hehe nufin do us abeg we send dem before so wetin na. . . I speak it for entertainment and it's much more easy to express myself in pigin than a stiff-necked language such as english tongue and personally to tell you the truth I don't find pride in speaking another man's language, I just speak english out of necessity . . . sha I gbadun pigin wella because e don domesticate this foreigner called english language and mould am into our own pattern plus each and every tribe's language DNA exists in pidgin . . . it unites us somewhat . . . that is my opinion sha.
CultureRe: Should Nigerians Be Proud Of Speaking Pidgin English? by emofine(f): 6:44am On Sep 21, 2011
Beaf:
Pidgin English should be Nigeria's only official language.

The choice of language for learning and communicating can greatly affect a nations economic and developmental standing. Most Nigerians can express themselves more clearly and naturally in Pidgin English than in Queens English, this is because its structure is very similar to our mother tongues. It is proven science that learning in ones mother tongue produces quantifiably better results than learning in a foreign tongue.

If we are serious about development, we would look to standardise and adopt Pidgin English as our national tongue.
Oga you too make sense sha but I don't think pidgin should be Nigeria's only official language . . . . that is all.
^ so where you go keep this your big big grammer if we adopt Pidgin?. . .
hehe tongue

. . .the funny thing is the vast majority of every group on earth marries their own people so kini big deal . . . it's not like you're starting a revolution or something tongue

ChinenyeN:
Do people actually have a problem with those who would only marry one of their own? huh
That shouldn't be a bone of contention for people if someone prefers to marry one of their own becasue that's their buisness the same as I feel it shouldn't be the objective of another man to dictate which person such and such should be marrying imo.
