Why do ladies put up fronts when they love a particular guy, more so if the guy in question has asked them out!
She might not feel trusting of the guys intentions. . .

RomanceRe: Gurls With Their Useless Shakara. Rubbish! by emofine(f): 11:35pm On Sep 10, 2011
Mavor:
Like I said, most, not all. The few good ones are taken but of course I'm still keeping my eyes open. It is always good to marry from one's culture. It makes things easier and room for understanding during marriage, but 9ja girls these days give lots of stress. I have nothing against my fellow 9ja, after all my own blood sisters are Nigerians. There are guys who can stomach some of the stuff most 9ja girls like to dish out, I on my part have little or zero patience for it. It doesn't take much to turn me off completely. But pls ask yourself this, why is it most 9ja guys complain about 9ja ladies and their fronting. Fronting and shakara is allowed from ladies. It is part of the whole feminine appeal, but 9ja ladies take it to extreme levels that become revolting. Nuff said.
Mavor, I respect the manner in which you conveyed your points. I guess I just used you as a point of reference even though my initial response was accumulated observation. Of course I won't deny that some Nigerian women have bad attitudes (a trait not exclusive to them) but please do not use these women as a guideline or as a means to eclipse the rest of us. The saddest and most destructive thing about these generalizations is that some of you guys in your rebuke of your counterparts indirectly legitimize such behaviour from other men and women alike from divers nations who witness certain words traded among our circle and begin to reiterate and redirect these insults at us women or feel justified in their stance towards us. Before you respect another woman or indeed man it is the one living under your household followed by your sovereign nation that you must learn to respect first.
I've said my own for tonight. . .Goodnight.
RomanceRe: Gurls With Their Useless Shakara. Rubbish! by emofine(f): 10:30pm On Sep 10, 2011
Mavor:
If I had a chance between marrying an Ethiopian and a Nigerian, I will go for the Ethiopian before my next eye blink. Most Nigerian ladies' shakara can be too tedious
You say that "most" Nigerian ladies do shakara yet you are willing to overlook the supposed minority of Nigerian women who don't to pursue an Ethiopian (which perhaps you have no prior knowledge of).

So you will marry an Ethiopian on the basis that a Nigerian lady dey do shakara abi? . . . would you use one Ethiopian to judge all Ethiopians?
. . .and if so what do you even know about Ethiopians enough to generalize them in terms of character traits?
Everybody on this planet have their undesirable trait but the way some of you guys talk you behave as if Nigerian women are the only creatures with deep flaws. . . it's beginning to weird me out considering that those same women gave birth to those now scorning their type and moreover will be the daughters that these same men are yet to produce  . . . or are your female relatives immune from the abuse?

This despicable attitude seems to be common with most Nigerian ladies.
err *blinks*. . . Mr. Science "do you have any scientific data to back this up"?

FashionRe: Must A Lady's Wedding Dress Be White? by emofine(f): 4:46pm On Sep 10, 2011
@ OP. . .  you know what I dread the idea of getting married in white or in front of a whole congregation etc . . . I don't want that conventional setting and tedious sequence. The whole idea unsettles me and seems rather unattractive and mundane.

I'd be more happy and comfortable in native attire. . . *shrugs shoulders*

I believe a lady can choose or have certain things tailored to her liking.

What is the aim of this thread? . . .and who do people resort to using casualities as a means of scoring points? death shouldn't mean more or less because of the colour of the deceased or indeed the killer. . .

Jerry, my heart is gladdened to meet a fellow Deltan. Delta wadooo (bows) . . .  My right hand may not know what my left hand is doing but I believe others are still assisting but that does not mean to say those of us who haven't should not begin to start. I kampke this idea. I have often considered various ways I too could contribute to my people.

Your ideas are simple but effective. As an artist I have so many pens, brushes, pencils, paint etc lying about . . .even old fabric - these mundane items that have perhaps to us passed their expiry date or usefullnes will sure be of help to our brethren back home . . it's a good idea, I support you and willing to assit smiley

The list isn't exactly the most dazzling but I feel the only choice here is Samuel Eto. He doesn't perm hair (lol what hair?) and he has a nice frame, no pimples either tongue

RomanceRe: Two Months Is Good Enough To Get Married by emofine(f): 10:22pm On Sep 09, 2011
claremont:
What I mean by "change" is, persons who pretend to have a prefect kind of "marriageable" personality prior to marriage, in order to ensnare a suitable mate. Then after marriage, the gloves come off and they reveal their true sadistic, uncouth, and hostile self to their partner. Immediate and expedited divorce is a potent weapon to use for such despicable liars!
Okay. I finally comprehend what you're relaying, but wow such emotive language . . .
RomanceRe: How Do You Imagine Another Poster To Look Like? by emofine(op): 10:21pm On Sep 09, 2011
It's intriguing and often random how some people match and connect words to create a picture.

claremont:
Yes, I do conjure up an image in my head sometimes which may be based on how smart I feel a poster is based on his/her posts.
The image I have for you at the moment is; a geek who puts on "Harry Potter style" of glasses, dark in complexion, on the average side in terms of facial looks, considers make-up to be a waste of time, a melancholic personality, prefers to order meals rather than cook, an above average level of IQ.
Just a wild guess, I could be 100% totally wrong! cool
Interesting assesment, I think I like the description.

well as for you sir, erm I predict that your. . .

appearance: average height, decent looking, healthy man but ordinary physique, mid brown complexion

characteristic:I think you read more than you participate in sport , I just imagine you as someone relishing their own company, with a seemingly distant exterior but warm once acquainted , I actually think you look down on people who are not as intelligent as you and you're probably not a patient man. . . . . I think

. . .that's just me forming an evaluation based solely on your words and interaction here.

grin I wonder how those people look like hmmm
Simple enough. Since our words are our ambassadors;

if a poster "says" smart things most of the time, I picture them as a very fine and attractive person.

If a poster "says" dumb things and has a terrible command of English language, I picture them as not so attractive and ----- E.g-- Nah, I'm not mentioning names.  grin

Yh, I know--it's prejudice, but who isn't guilty of it?
Lol . . . fair enough. I think people often employ that method, but I just percieve those who say "dumb things" as playful jokers. I actually predict some are rather intelligent, they are the ones who have mastered their fictional online character well in my opinion cool
RomanceHow Do You Imagine Another Poster To Look Like? by emofine(op): 6:12pm On Sep 09, 2011
I think it's quite fascinating communicating with people I cannot see (well minus those who have their profile pics) - kinda like someone wearing a burqa grin okay I was kidding there tongue . . . so in the absence of sight do others just use words to sketch or at least conjure up an image of what you believe other posters to look like, or do you just associate a word, colour, avatar or even famous person etc with a random poster . . .

I was initially going to ask people if they could sketch themsleves in words but erm they might be a little biased lol so I wonder how some imagine another poster to look like instead . . .

P.S. I't just mild entertainment cool
