Haha True grin

The things we do not see are more real than the things we see

sauer:
Philosophy certainly requires care and passion in order to understand. To care however has its dangers, as understanding must necessarily divorce itself from dear feelings. True philosophers, such as Russell or Nietzsche, have been known to wallow in passion and emotions at certain times; and at other times have simply attended to their subject cold, blank and devoid of embellishments.
Okay, that's not how I interpreted the quote.

Christianity EtcRe: The Pangs Of Hell! by emofine2(f): 9:54pm On Jan 30, 2012
OP, I have two questions.

a) According to Biblical scripture hell was actually created for the fallen Angels. So if those Angels had not rebelled would such a place (now reserved for "unrighteous" men) had existed or would God have found another dumping ground for the "heathens"?

b) Is it fear that governs the conviction of some? I ask this because I truly wonder if people come to Christ because they love him or are frightened if they do not adhere to him they will thus incur 3rd degree burns for eternity.
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Spirituality? by emofine2(f): 9:44pm On Jan 30, 2012
Thanks Emofine for your contribution and question.

Note my acceptance of Lasinoh's input that Spirituality seeks to develope a "personalized channel". Spirituality is neither collective nor shared not even between twin siblings - which is where it clashes with the concept of a structure, pattern, procession or place of worship as is common in religion. It is completely individualistic.

On the question of Objectivity or Subjectivity.

Objectivity is based on fact and what is observable while Subjectivity is based on perception. Spirituality is a concept, a theory which is based on undeniable FACTS. Here again Spirituality clashes with religion because religion leaves unanswered questions to "divinity" while spirituality confirms the spiritual using science and scientific procedures.  Spirituality is a highly intellectual pursuit.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Kill In The Name Of Religion . by emofine2(f): 9:29pm On Jan 30, 2012
@OP I disagree with your analogy.

Religion is not hereditary. Conviction is not coded in our DNA but it may be influenced due to environment. Either a person is subjected to a particular religion or has willingly decided which religion they choose to adhere to based on their own conviction.
Nobody has the right to decide for another human being (whether father or mother) which religion or faith an individual should abide by. A person may be forced/born into a particular religion but one can never be forced to have faith in such belief.

If you kill someone based on his religion , it means you are actually fighting GOD himself because the person you killed is in that religion only through Gods design and nothing more.
emofine baby you wont kill me even if u tried

the answer to the OP's question is simple, we have lost our history and the white dudes have replaced it with their demeaning version of african history
for God's sake, the word africa is not even of african origin, it is of latin origin
the term black or negro is also of western origin, i wont be so foolish to describe myself with their own terms

i am a human being, with a soul, a brain, i can love, hate, desire, create, achieve, i have a body, a skeleton, i have a skin and that skin happens to be covered with a pigment that mixes with the original color thereby making me dark brown- this is who i really am

every african must embrace this truth
I don't really understand how this connects with my post.
And I also believe it is important for all people to have an understanding of their history. The history of my group did not feature Jesus so why would I care about a Black Jesus as a means of boosting my and other black people alike self esteem?
Christianity EtcRe: Why Is Chritianity And Islam Causing Problems For Us? by emofine2(f): 10:59am On Jan 29, 2012
felixedet:
Are we sure we are not being colonized religiously by the west and the Arabs interests?

Christianity came from the west, Islam from the middle East: Why are we fighting for a trademark that is not ours?

Are we mentally slow in this country is all i am asking.

I advocate a new African religion base on family morals to take over the whole of this nation and by extension Africa.

Let have your opinion dude.
I think real problems occur from misunderstanding. For every religion in the world there is perhaps 10 (and I'm being pretty generous here) human interpretation. Exploiting those differences can be harmful.

Tell me more about this family morals that would form the basis of this substitute "African religion" you've conjured undecided
Furthermore do you believe Christianity and Islam is a problem solely because of their origin and not because of what they preach?
