Hopefully not all visas are expired. How can they expire a visa I have not yet received? It doesn’t make sense. The worst they ought to do is advise to do medical again before traveling since you are only required to take the medical with you when going and it has very little to do with visa issuance.
I am disappointed that they are not giving clear instructions to everyone on what to do. I will wait for more information before I travel to Lagos to collect my passport. I don’t want to do the trip three times.

Yes ooo if your medicals is more than 6 months you have to do it again, and if you police certificate is more than a year, you have to do it again. That's like additional 100,000 naira give or take to wrap it up

Hopefully this will not apply to every case. If it does then hopefully some part of the medical will not need to be repeated. Some of us paid visa fees in US though through CEAC , so I doubt we will be asked to repeat that. Fingers crossed.

I had my interview in March. Was sent a mail on Friday to come for my passport. I went to DHL to collect it but the visa is expired already. Will have to wait for renewal.

That's serious. How is renewal done? I was also in March, emailed yesterday that my passport has been collected and is with DHL. I am not in Lagos so I haven't gone to collect yet from DHL.

Everything is ok now. The U.S. government has temporarily suspended entry for certain travelers into the United States, so you have to read more about it on gov websites. - If you're thinking about traveling to the USA, I can recommend you using https://timescanner.pro/ platform. I use this service to check current time and rent a car. Good luck.

Thank you. Do you need new testing and self isolation at destination? Are hotels taking foreign guests?

Family / Re: Woman Bought A Gate To Shut Her Baby Out Of The Kitchen, The Baby Did This by emonkey(m): 8:41pm On Aug 13, 2020
DebbieBianca:
A baby has been labeled smart, intelligent and brilliant for what he does just to get its apple sauce.

Here is the moment showing how a little baby genuinely raise the kitchen gate purchased by her mother to prevent her baby from going to the kitchen when she is not around and the little baby does this.

In the video, the baby genuinely raise the gate to pass and then he checked the water in the sac to see if it's interested before going to the drawer to get its apple sauce.

This is a very bright child and he is also well mannered. I love how he made sure the drawer was all the way closed and the gate was let all the way down both times.

He threw the apple sauce over the gate because holding it while lifting it would be too much work and he then put the gate back in place.

He didn't seem to actually see where the snack landed after he threw it, yet he went right to it. He also went to the side of the stand to reach under. How the hell did he know to do that? Like how did he know he'd have a better reach from the side as opposed to the front?!

@Omowaleola, let me suggest that since your status reads ISSUED on CEAC then you better visit DHL asap for collection and make your travel plans asap before the visa expires

You're restricted to 6 months from the date of issue of the visa to travel to the nearest POE barring which you would be required to pay for reissuance of your visa and possibly do another medicals.

When were you interviewed?

Collect, how? If it is ready for collection they will tell you
Make travel plans. how? You will hire a private jet and fly into closed airport?

Yes I will.
What waterproofing agents do your prescribe?

I am not a builder. Ask for a good bitumen based sealant. Some just use a hot melt tar seal coat followed by a bituminous membrane top. These treatments can be costly but is well worth it. Sika products are good, I don't know if they are still available in market.

Hi engineer
Thanks for your professional contribution.
This structure was designed specifically for this purpose (to bear tanks overhead).

This is a sketch of the reinforcement done.
The tank area is the kitchen and toilet area underneath respectively.
It measures 5x12ft
5 internal beams where passed side by side, with two supporting walls underneath also.
(The dotted area is the beams with another long beam crossing from end to end of the entire structure.)
Good. I suggest you temporarily remove the water tanks and thoroughly waterproof the top of the slab with bitumen treatment before putting back the tanks. Like I said the good thing is the concrete is not cracked underneath which could be an indication of some failure.
I have seen this problem with my grandfather's 60-year-old house and it is still standing. The tank, in this case, had to be removed because the slab was not designed for that purpose and so there were cracks underneath which eventually caused spalling due to damage of the reinforcement by water seepage from the top. Problem solved by waterproofing. If you are certain your slab was designed for bearing the water tanks, don't worry, just waterproof and you should be okay. If you notice cracks either in the slab or the walls though, remove the water tanks immediately.

Hi NLanders and Engineers.
Good evening.

This structure was built in December 2019.
I noticed the room is always moisty.
When the room windows and door is shut... The glass sweat from inside.

Now it's the roofing(decking), just this part of the decking.

The room is well ventilated but since no occupant the windows and doors are always shut.

Above the decking is completely tiled and two brand new water tanks are sitting untop.

What could this imply?

You need to waterproof an open decking. No, tiling won't do it, water will still seep through the joints in the tiles. Try bitumen-based treatments.
Secondly, the decking was probably not designed to carry a water tank, not to talk of two. What is the capacity of the tanks? How thick is the decking?
Depending on these I would advise you to relocate the water tanks. The good thing is that you don't yet have any visible cracks or spalling underneath.
I am an engineer by the way.

in case u are a novice here, most of us come here to waste time, and nothing here looks serious to us. so carry ur angry spirit pointer and get away if u can't defend d points u made up there

You have unfortunately publicly demonstrated that many people who call themselves Christians either don't read or don't even know how to read their Bible. In case you are still wondering what I am driving at , here is the passage I asked you to read :

"Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered" - Proverb 22:24

I am thankful to God that you have been able to learn something new today. God bless you.

The apostles preached in d synagogue always. There were various gatherings of the saints in d Bible, in revelations Angels were sent to deliver letters to the churches (not homes, not streets, not personally) but to specific churches
am against screaming at night with loudspeakers but dat doesn't condemn vigil

as for d last assertion, I don't think if God were to be physically on earth today he will be pampering words with Atheists, arguing rubbish with them
u don't want me to bring up different names the Bible used to refer to unbelievers and I don't think calling them those names denotes anger

You have an angry spirit and there is no point having a discussion with you . Please go read your Bible. Read Proverbs 22:24 and tell us what it says. Happy Sunday to you.

If as a Christian u rather feel comfortable at home on Sundays den something is wrong
if u feel going to church means patronising ur pastor, something is also wrong
if u think God is happy wen his people cannot gather together in his name den something is wrong
if u think u are complete praying to God at home all by urself den u need to go back to d Bible
if u think night vigils is a waste of ur time, think again

Remember it's easier for d devil to permeate the mind of a single believer doing his things all alone than to permeate a believer who is constantly in d midst of others

remember d gospel didn't get to u by people who were more comfortable serving God in their rooms but by people who gathered frequently and strategized on how to spread d gospel

One question for u
how is d gospel going to be preached Wen every believer does his own worship at home, or is God no longer in the business of soul winning?

if u are a Muslim or an atheist kindly do not quote me
I am not always nice with words as the above write up suggesrs

My Brother, the first Christians did not preach the gospel In their church, they preached in the communities, just like Jesus did. The best sermons they preached were in the streets and by their personal attitudes, not by screaming in the night and disturbing the neighborhood with big loudspeakers .
Your concluding remark is both amusing and upsetting. You are not nice with words? Where then is your Christianity? Have you ever heard of “the fruit of the Spirit” ? They are not fruits of anger. Please read Galatians 5: 22
Shalom.
