Nubian
I was getting crossed reading your last post.
Realise something, the issue about 'Muguness' is plain joke and a way to make a painful matter look trivial.
What we did for Love is out of affection and desire. Maybe we all fell with the wrong persons.
Cos when u want to 'play' and u meet a 'serious' peerson, u will all realise that the target and desire will not be the same.

All the same, i stand by my quotingss,
As long as u fall in Love, selflessness must lead you to do one stupid thing or the other.
When and what it is, time and situation shall tell.

its soo unfortunate that love and relationships that ought to lead to something greater and mor fulfilling in life
is now being made to look like a sexual gratification game. The men folk are more at fault here.
Some ladies will tell you that no money no love but somehow, i have not seen that issue surface in this thread
Only if we can be more sincere and truthful. bearing in mind your partners feelings and also eschew selfishness.

If you want to play, look for some one who is ready for a flirt/fling.
If you want a sex partner, they everywhere. But do not make the mistake of deceiving the other person to believe u mean this while u mean that.

And thats why i still hold a lot of respect for my Girlfriend (or should i call her Ex now).
She was plain with me. No commitments and she told she didn;t Love me that much
But somehow, i feel flatly and believe that even uptill now, that she will change her mind and stick with me.

Life is that way. As for those thinking we are all mugus, if u don't do it now, wait till u are married. Even though that has more guarantee.

Life goes on b'cos, "La VIE EST BELLE"

hey folks, jkpretty,
I hope the term is not an assault on female folk. It also applies to the men folk
It wasn't intended
Forgive me if it does

No one can claim to be fool proof to ANY form of 'stupidity'. Unless U have never experienced Love
As long as u have, no jupiter will stop u from doing some of such things
i am presently going thru a phase that had such sacrifice and to make it worse, i have invested heavily emotionally.
Even when i know that i stand a 0.5% chance of getting her to be with for the rest of my life, i still go out of my way to do some really selfless stuffs
But just like Nubia said, I never regret. Its a phase and i pray to come across the person wwho deserves it.

Selflessness is a strong Xteristic of Love. God dey.

As for those claiming sharp/smartness, keep 'enjoying'. But unless u will be 'celibataire', just wait for the phase.
For the Ladies, it usually comes with first Love as for the guys, Its not stage at all. It can happen anytime
Be on guard. Its a duty we all owe Love.

I think u are second in Love Muguness to the 'Lai-Lai' guy. His story was also funny
After you comes HR.Hotness.

But one thing we all should know about this is that
Just like guys who give money to babes, we tend to call this stupidity
But its one of the Characteristics of Love.
SELFLESSNESS!!!
The ability to give up ur personal comfort for the other. If i give you everything i have, its not because i am foolish or a mugu but because, a part of my is sad and unhappy to see you needing something that I may or may not afford. That means that joy begets joy.
I have gone hungry for her to eat
I have braved the sun, rain and risked my life just to be with her

But lets be wary of the negative things we do because of love.
It does not support such. U will be better off spending the whole month teaching her arithmetic
than riskeing being jailed for Mal-Practice while writing the exam for her or hiring someone to do so
you have ended up giving her a short term reprieve but o the long run, u have not solved the problem because the person is still a dunce

We all have one stupid act or the other we have done but it behoves us to do so intelligently and with personal conviction

I can remember stealing a roll of foreign soap & undies from the box my mum just returned with from London just to impress her.
This is foolish and stupid and love doen't support such. It would have been better if i had told my mum as such and if i was already going out with that particular girl

But all in all, i realise that the people u actually slave for may sometimes not realise what u went thru to do what u did for them
and even if they do, the aren't touched one bit.

that car is becoming high in demand because Nigerians are realising the tech in it
and that its not just Honda and Toyota,
I guess ur proble is that U requested one with auto drive and thats why they are out of stock
The have the manual drive mostly in circulation.

I thinks its a great car and its aesthetically beautiful
I was able to convince my cousin to change her mind and get from a Honda City

What option where u given at that price. please i do like to know?

I guess all these brogadoccio about CR7 is getting too much
Anything he achieves was made possible by United.
If he feel like leaving, I am not pertubed one bit.
We have Nani to fill in his shoes, I even heard that David Silva is a target
And pray that guy impressed me last Nite against Italy
His runs kept the Italians on Back heel such that they couldn't attack. I just Rafa doesn't snaap him up after United must have alerted the world to him
Just like it happened to Torres. So let Ronaldo leave for all i care
We did it without Cantona, Roy, Becks, RVN so why not him. If it were Rooney i will have a lot to worry.
Not Ronaldo!!!

Its quite clear that all Madrid wants him for is to make money on Endrosements and adverts like they did with Becks
Whichever way, i believe he will leave UNITED but its after the coming season
Fergie and the Glazers will show their Mafioso skillss
Whatever he thinks, he should realise that he's only human

But lets put our sentiments aside and looka t this critically
Football is all about Business
if Ronaldo's form dips and he doesn't pick up anything,  man u will surely dump him this am sure of
So why not take your chance when u are still playing well
He is still young and can play for more 10yrs if things are normal for him and baring injuries
So hey CR7, take your chance. i will still be your fan. Just go make the money
Thats Business for you.

Been watching all u guys been discussing here and can't help laugh at some, feel sympathy at others

In these days, the type of car u drive depends on what will be done to it if it gets snatched.
New cars are like ly to be sold, fairly used and Tokunbos are most likely get away

Again i do like to know what constitutes a "CATCHY" car
is it a car in the class of BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Range Rover, Lexus, Maybach grin etc that are very classy and expensive but can't find ready buyers because of their luxurious and maintenance expenses?

Or

Is ot the Honda, Toyota etc that are like Pure water and can be found any and anywhere comparatively cheap, easy to maintain and fuel efficient and also are driven by both the Upper, Middle and Lower rungs people of the society.

I tell you, it will be very difficult for anyone to steal a BMW 7series or cars in its class because, the people that will buy such a car are not ur every day young and upwardly mobile executives/upstarts
Its gonna be a big man. Cos just a change of oil is likely to cost u the price of a Brand new PICANTO shocked shocked

All said, security measures are for cases like this and should only take a little more of ur income but if it gives u peace of mind, why not
A comprehensive insurance will guarantee your car is replaced if it gets unfoundable(pardon my grammar)
A car tracker will be installed by the insurer to help you monitor its movement
Most of these high flying Logistics Coys use this medium to track their fleet.

Above all, you belief in God ultimately guarantee EVERYTHING as all stated above are all human creations that are very prone to failure

As for those writing off the Skoda, realise that its the Volk Wagen plant in Czech Republic but operating under a different Business Name due to the franchise and partnership. So it has the same engine, model and designs as with the Golf (ie Fabia).

There is no basis for comparing a VW and a Honda. We should realise that every manufacturer has its way and factor for making and marketing its brand
The Honda guys are more of aesthetics and beauty as compared to the Germans who are about sustainability, ruggedness and efficiency. Moreover, these Japanese don't develop anything but opy from Europe and America. The Macpherson strut being used by Mercedes is being now used in Toyota but its a development of the Germans.
SO nkc and KC, the Volks Wagen Jetta is not in the same range with the Accord but i still prefer it to the to the Accord. A more similar comparison would have been with the Civic.

@ Sojioguns,
Sorry for ur plight. I am quite sympathetic to ur cause and from ur posts, u don't seem to have found ur car?
Did it have any security/ tracking device?

@Poster,
Why not try a Nissan Tiida if u are aafraid of the "CATCHY" machines
Also a Mitsubushi Gallant. They aren't as catchy and popular as the Hondas and Toyotas but also as durable and strong as they are
Ur next option will be the Germans with the VWs, AUDIs and BMWs which are expensive
Another option, Try the Ford Family. They have greatly improved in fuel efficiency(this was their wahala). The new Mondeo, Focus and the Rav4 version ECOSPORTS
Suzuki is another good make. I am giving these suggestions out of PERSONAL experience. I have had a driving experience of all these cars and i bet U the Catchy cars are in for a run on their money and market share. If u are ready to buy one, try any of these and u will not regret this advice.

Jeez!! Can't believe thois sort of argument has been going on here for ages.
Two full thread and a half going just to one player.
Can we pls talk about something else pls
for all i care Ronaldo can leave. we needed to win the Champions league with him we have done that so?
Without him Man U is still one and will groom a player to get to his standards.
I bet u guys, watch out for Nani. he wil definitely be picking up the headlines pretty soon
And maybe by then these Real PLONKERS from Madrid will remember they haven't had a good player in a while.

As for u haters, U seem to be forgetting 2006 pretty soon. It was soo obvious he was leaving after the World Cup but LO
2yrs plus on, and the speculations are still rife!! I dey wait next season before i say anything. As for him leaving, it now look to me like its becoming
a war of wits and ego and not about productivity and impact into the team. Which in essence tells u that NO player is INDISPENSABLE

Pls for now, can some say something else and quit this Ronaldo imbroglio
Euro footie starts tomorrow and no one seems to be saying any shit about it
I can't wait for it. Gary Lineker is already predicting Spain.

Reds announce Nigeria stopManchester United will play Portsmouth in a pre-season exhibition match in Nigeria in July.

At a press conference at Old Trafford today, chief executive David Gill confirmed the game against the FA Cup winners will be added to United’s existing commitments in Africa.

The Reds are heading to South Africa for three games against Kaiser Chiefs and Orlando Pirates between 19 July and 26 July and will now play in Abuja, Nigeria shortly afterwards, en route back to England.

"Research has shown Nigeria is home to our fourth largest fan base - some 13million supporters - so this is an opportunity for us to say thank you to those fans," said David Gill.

"We're looking forward to a carnival atmosphere when we play in Nigeria."

Of course, the Reds are also due to face Portsmouth at Wembley in the Community Shield on Sunday 10 August.

"We didn't plan it to be a dress rehearsal for the Community Shield," Gill laughed, "but it's a nice coincidence.

"We'll take a strong squad. All the English players will be there - people like Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Owen Hargreaves, for instance.

"Those players who are involved in and do well at the European Championships won't make the trip [to South Africa or Nigeria]."

I don't believe ya one bit.
Rooney is one intelligent Dude in that Squad.
Amongs the Holy trinity, He is one person u can't intimidate like is always done to Roonie
And Tevez ain't as brillant as he is. All the Glory Ronaldo is taking is as a result of Rooney's hard work and the free role
he hands him. Check out the long range passes. Case in point, UEFA CL final against Chelsea the goal Tevez and Carrick missed were all his hand work
If he ain't scoring goals its because he is a PERFECT 8
So quit being blind to his abilities. he is one Utd player i will have in my all Utd greatest

What a loser he is. A way to get in contention thru the back door
Or is he secretly admiring Man U??
The last time I checked we scored close to 80 goals and concedded just 22
Which is the highest and lowest goals in the EPL last season.
So whats the Dude talking of

I don't see anyone shagging Italy especially if they come out of that group
Just like Jackal my sympathy lies with the Portugese but Dude, the haven't got the players
I also see France pulling off some strings.

Mancs,
Its not about loving Klass or Fabiano being hot tempered or whatever.
How physically strong are these players.
Can they survive in the Premier league. Are they fast Paced to cope with our kind of attackng footie
How productive can these guys be when put under pressure. Ronny is a good example on how to handle pressure.
I also heard Fergie is about to make an audacious bid for Benzema.
i don't think i like that guy. At his age handling the pressure and reponsibilties of being a top 9 in the EPL is quite tasking
U ought to have character, fighting spirit, knack for goal and a great positioning sense.
As for Fabiano being hot headed, Fergie will give him the medicine. Roonie will tell u what he got.

As we wait lets hope and pray for the best.

Everyone seems to be revelling in the Man Utd victory Euphoria.
But lets look at an issue that is generating a lot of headlines and will definitely make issues
Before or after the Euro finals

What game is CR7 playing with Man Utd?
Guys do u think he will stay or go?
Or do u think he's just playing games?
I am quite indifferent on this matter. If he decides to go, then good luck to him
We have a lot to tinker on to be like him. Nani still a raw material as far as am concerned
By the time Fergusmith finishes with his job, then another Ronaldo will have been born.
But what do u guys think??
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Emperoh(m): 7:32pm On May 22, 2008
@Cristalz
Yeah, i am quite passionate about Manchester United since my elder cousin taught me whats in Man Utd
I used to pay lip servie and i kow yesternite was the least i have done just to watch Man Utd play
I can remember the FA cup finals last year that i had to miss NIM exams to watch. its quite cheeky and how we use to go to polo park in Coal City just to watch Man U, argue and stake our bragging rights
the passion is growing daily and i am loving the forum Nairaland has created for me to vent my spleen and batter any rival supporter that spews bull dung here.

So i had my prayers before during and after that match.
Its not so much to do for a beloved team is it??
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Emperoh(m): 7:23pm On May 22, 2008
I guess Ronnie was just shedding tears of joy.
But i can't still understand why the dude is still speculating on his future
What game is he trying to play with United? I don't really care if he leaves or not i will just miss his displays and dribbles
I believe Fergie will work really well on Nani to do good. If Giggsy gets too uroductive, the gaffer will sign another double footed winger
Thats the beauty of a Man U side. Having wingers that play both left and right. Thats why Roonie has been a success. JS is good but not 2 footed
Its just left and left alone though he sometimes does right foot also.

As for Mikel, I ant to believe immaturity, manipulation by John Shittu and the get rich quick factor did him in
If he's in footie for the money, let him enjoy it and forget winning big trophies
But no one will consider him a big footballer. Fergie would have grinded out a VERY finished good from him now
I bet u he should be contesting with Messi for World footballer of the year
he has allowed his Raw talent to remain untapped and might hust be languishing in desolateness
God will help him. As a fellow kinsman (yes he's from my LG area Anaocha, in Anambra State) i feel for him
But unsentimentally, he was used and his desires didn't give him a whiff of common sense in taking a career designing decision
Let me not behave like am regretting his wrong move. It might as well turn right in future if Chelsea wins it but of utmost consideration then
will be what he contributed to such success.

I REST MY CASE

LETS SAVOUR LLA VICTOIRE!!!!

INSTEAD OF GOING FOR GOOD FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT, HE WENT FOR MONEY!!
Was it becasue of Poverty or just the lucre lure of affluence
He would have been a better player well developed and commanding a starting place at United
And probably learning to be another Roy Keane or Even Paul Scholes
But he decided to go for Abramovic's pounds without even learning the rudiments of professionalism.
Where is he now? He would have joined the league of Nigerian with European Medals.
Jon Obi Mikel got carried away by money. He wasn't even on the bench,

I hope we get a good 9 next season. I believe Berba would be a good target no matter how expensive
Though the price got to be reasonable.
