A dose of our own treatment!! grin grin grin

Tough period!!
Its confirmed, Berba cannot lead the line. . . .We need a striker and probably a defender!!
Fergie got away with lots of stuffs and thinks that things will always work out. . . . well, we are to be blamed for our own errors

Those hoping for any miracle to happen had better wake up from TB Joshua's church and start preparing to see the WC
and then get equipped for next season. . . . . yesterday's game was painlessly annoying shocked shocked shocked shocked

I am afraid, you friend doesn't have much choice or chances or not rekindling that old feeling!!
its very strong especially on the guys part. . . .If they eventually meet, i dare think something romantic will happen.
Friends who knew them will even urge them on. . . .so i fear the present girls ex.

Now, here is what i advise. . . .a times like this, one is bound to jettison the idea of 'if it were me' and do what your heart tells u.
If the guy is willing to take the plunge and u know he is sincere and honest about it, pls go ahead.
Cos no matter how much she tries to suppress that feelings, its so strong u can push it aside.
Chances of ex coming together are very high for most people, especially for people who didn't 'officially' break up or those who parted ways amicably. . . .while for some its a no go area

Regardless of what anyone might think, the guy has shown enormous respect for memories she's had with the girl in question
and same can be said of his perception of her. . . so i think she is in good hands.

But i warn, situation should be clear before any emotions or feeling are nurtured further than they are now.
If the guy is game and keen to renew old romance. . . . pls let her go ahead.

My one pence though!!

How do u define big name signings?
As far as am concerned, there isn't much difference with what we did now and what we did Post Recession!
All are according to expediency and availability of players are a good price!!

TKB's highlights above says it all!!
Nevertheless when a player blooms is subject to exposure, talent and luck!!
There are late bloomers, eg. Drogba, mid level bloomers and early bloomers. . . . . .We've has our own level of pitfalls
with young player signings and also successes. . . . Ryan Shawcross and Chris Eagles comes to mind
Gerard Pique also falls into a category where i might want to grade Hernandez. . . . nevertheless, i won't class him a success until he
grabs and pins down a shirt in Spain's national team!!!

MANCHESTER UNITED NEWS
Ferguson planning further signings

Manchester United chief executive David Gill has hinted at further investment this summer and Soccernet understands there is no truth in reports Sir Alex Ferguson has been forced to scale down his ambitions.

Reports suggested United could not afford £40 million-rated David Villa

• United sign Javier Hernandez

It was reported on Friday morning that United have turned down the chance to sign Valencia striker David Villa for £40 million due to financial restrictions imposed by the Glazer family.

However, Soccernet has been informed that Ferguson personally decided against the deal some time ago as he believes Villa, 28, is overpriced given his age.

The United boss has always made clear that he still has transfer funds available following the £80 million sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid in the summer, and he will look into the possibility of signing a top-quality goalkeeper and a new striker when the market reopens.

Mexico striker Javier Hernandez will join this summer subject to a work permit while Fulham defender Chris Smalling has also secured a big-money move, but more signings are expected.

Gill told MUTV: "We are planning for next season. We have already bought Chris Smalling from Fulham and we are very excited about him joining us in July. Let's see what happens. Watch this space."

Ferguson is eager to sign young players who can offer long-term value to the club. He retains an interest in 22-year-old Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who snubbed a move to Old Trafford last summer when he left Lyon.

In his press conference on Friday morning, Ferguson confirmed that he is eager to sign up younger talent and played down talk of the Villa deal.

Referring to the Hernandez signing, he said: "We like doing these kind of deals where we can identify young talent. We have been good at that over the years.

"There is the odd exception when we get a mature player, like Berbatov. When you sign a player for that kind of money you know there is not going to be a resale value if he stays with you for six years.

"It is about getting the player we need who is going to improve us or maintain the level we are at.

"There is conjecture about every good player. Last summer it was Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema, although he was a young player and one of the targets we set out to get. Now it is David Villa.

"I am sure by the end of the season there will be half a dozen more. I can't confirm that speculation but most of it is not right."

Ferguson admitted he was not intending to sign Hernandez quite so quickly. However, he had been forced into action by the 21-year-old muscling his way into the Mexican national squad, where he has scored four times already, and put himself in line for a place at the World Cup.

"We got some background knowledge about the boy last October and we had more good reports in December," he said. "The feeling was to wait because he was young.

"But then he got into the national team, which created a problem for us because if he went to the World Cup and did well, there would be a danger of losing him."

The fact that Wenger's smallings have not matured into big goons doesn't mean others won't.
It also doesn't mean we can't afford to buy big quality if they come at the right price.
Benzema and Villa were over-priced and u & i know how Fergie sought to buy them. . . .United is not in the market to flex muscles with those with soo much money to throw about. . . .sensible spending is what is needed at this moment!!!

And i bet the small money talents have propects of blossoming into real players!!
If Valencia was bought for 16.7m, doesn't it tell you that we will still do them big players when the right amount comes by?
Big money spending doesn't get you trophies. . . .getting quality does!!!

Reds agree Hernandez Deal

Manchester United is pleased to announce it has reached agreement with Mexican club, Chivas de Guadalajara for the purchase of 21 year-old Mexican striker Javier Hernandez, better known as “Chicharito,” for an undisclosed fee, subject to a successful application for a UK work permit.

Personal terms have been agreed and Javier passed a medical in Manchester this week.

The application for the work permit will be submitted shortly. If a permit is granted, Javier will become a Manchester United player on 1 July 2010. As part of the deal, the Club will play a match to open the new 45,000 capacity Chivas Stadium in Guadalajara as part of its 2010/11 season preparations.

Sir Alex Ferguson said: "I am delighted to reach agreement with Chivas to bring such an exciting young striker, who has been in such prolific form for both his club and his country. He will be a great addition to our squad and we look forward to welcoming our first Mexican player in the summer.

“We are equally excited to play our first game in Mexico, opening the magnificent new Chivas Stadium in July

Referee Mike Dean has been demoted from officiating in the Premier League this weekend. Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson called his performance "poor" in their 2-1 defeat by Chelsea on Saturday, while Dean also awarded Blackburn a questionable penalty in their 1-0 win over Burnley the week before.

Simon Beck, who failed to flag Didier Drogba offside for Chelsea's second goal, has also been demoted and both will officiate at Bristol City this weekend. (Daily Mail)
