This figure is not accurate and I can observe that the ncdc is only taking records of the elite and not conducting test for the masses. We all have seen several allegations against the ncdc turning back several people with covid 19 symptoms. This figure can't be accurate. May God help us all

As you all know the world is battling on how to tackle the pandemic ( Covid-19 ) which originated from Wuhan, China.

The major nations which as been mostly hit by this pandemic are Italy, Spain, India, USA etc while the rate and speed of infection as been on a rapid increase.

Most of the government officials in the world have been hit by this virus which as been predicted to be spread through the soft part of our body e.g coming close contact with someone who as the virus , shaking someone with the virus, touching objects that as been infected, sneezing, coughing etc.

Several government officials of the most hit countries as been saddled with enormous responsibility on how to protect thier various citizens and most importantly several measures have been taking which are staying indoor, keeping social distance etc.

In Nigeria, We have seen top officials who have been infected WTH the virus with the notable been the Chief of Staff (Abba Kyari) while I believe a lot of people will still test positive to this virus but it is worthy to note that Lagos State government as been doing all it's possible best to curb the spread of the virus by ordering everyone stays at home.

However, with the recent news and traveling history of most people who just came in into the country you will agreed with me that Covid-19 was already in Nigeria even before the index case or immediately after the index case because the carrier of such virus did not know if he or she as it.

Therefore, a lot of carrier would have moved and missed , socialized and infected alot of people without them knowing.

A carrier who does not know he or she as been infected with the virus is also staying indoor and would have probably infected some people in the neighborhood.

Be that as it may, Everyone indoor who is having the covid-19 symptoms should please indicate here , remember the virus syptoms is similar to malaria so it might not be the covid 19,it could be fear as a result of too much of information on the disease or malaria.

So as for me I just started observing my stay at home , I was at the office on Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday but today I feel like my heart is congested, feeling feverish , I can be very fearful and have been watching alot of the sypmtoms of Covid-19 on youtube to be sure of any signs but am very bored and lonely.

At a press conference, researchers of the Migal Galilee Research Institute said that the breakthrough had come while they were doing research on coronavirus in birds. A treatment had been discovered which cured the birds infected with coronavirus, and clinical trials at Israel’s Volcani Agricultural Research Institute had confirmed the treatment’s viability.

Director of the Institute Professor Dan Levanon said the speed with which the treatment could be used would depend on regulatory approval. “Under the current conditions in which the disease is causing terrible losses, I believe that state regulators would be very lenient in the various stages that the treatment must pass before it is approved, of course ensuring that it will do no harm via side effects and the like. Under normal conditions, approval of a treatment like this would likely take several years,” he said.

Please a friend of mine applied for German visa since July 2019 and up till date they are yet to give the person an appointment date.

I have been at German embassy at walter carrington on several occasion but what they keep saying is that we should follow the instructions from the website.

My question is do German embassy Lagos also do super priority for students visa application just like UK embassy

UK embassy gives students visa for those who paid for super priority but those who applied through priority are told to wait till the date of their appointment.
.
So please anyone who as information should please help me out although I intend going back on Monday to enquire more if they do the super priority also but the problem is that the man giving information at the German embassy seems not to be disclosing anything

The leap year began on Wednesday January 1st 2020 and will end Thursday 31st December 2020 therefore the next leap year will be in 2024 while the leap day for 2020 is Saturday 29th and Thursday 29th 2024.
On the extra leap day which is February 29th of every leap year, how do those born on this day celebrate their birthdays in the common year?
Anyway I believe people born on leap days get to celebrate their birthdays either February 28th or march 1st in the common calendar.
However, if you are born on leap day share us your experience when you tell someone your birthday or reactions when filling official document.

I don't understand this news of Lagos State debunking the news of the restricted areas for marwa and okada.

My question is if the news did not emanate from Lagos State then where did the restriction signs placed accross various road where okada and Keke are not to play through

Am going to share you few of my experiences with bats

The first time i had an encounter with a Bat is around 2013 when i visited my parent and at that particular night and in the sitting room precisely around 20:34 we discovered something was flying and the rate at which the Bat was flying with speed made it difficult to kill but we eventually killed it and during this process of killing the Bat, my Mom was shouting Blood of Jesus but after killing it, we had to burn it even though i was matured during this period but that experience made me believe Bat was diabolical though i don’t know if I was wrong or right.
Fast forward to 2016, when i moved into a new apartment and on that particular day, i was home throughout and never left my window nor door open and to my surprise at night, i came out from my bedroom around 11pm to get something in the sitting and i discovered a bat flying and the worst part was that i stay alone and i became so scared that i had to run back to my bedroom, i put on the light and made sure i locked the door, i could not kill that bat on that particular day because i was so scared.
After the next few days i was still baffled on how the bat managed to enter the house and how it disappeared again because i did not see the bat the next morning after the previous night incident but few days later, i saw the bat again in my sitting room but this time around i made sure i killed it and threw it over the fence of my compound, my assumption after killing the bat was that it was the bat i saw the previous nights ago but to my surprise i saw another bat few days later But this time around i had to check if there was any holes, torn net, unclosed windows or anything that could allow the bat enter inside the house but unfortunately i found none.
Some days later, i was sitting at the front of the iron gate to my apartment at night and to my surprise i saw nothing less than 7-8 bats flying and trying to enter a small hole on the roof of the house but since then i ignored them though i never set my eyes on them again since my last encounter with them in my apartment though i have moved out of the house.
Not until last month, a female friend of mine told me she saw a bat in her sitting room and she had to call her neighbors’ on the phone before they helped her killing it and she had to be praying and praying but i calmed her down that the bat came into her house through a hole or opening due to their bright sight at night.
Fast forward to last night, i visited a friend and around middle of the night i overheard some people shouting and praying and there prayer could not make me sleep but due to their conversation i discovered they were trying to kill a bat that was flying in their sitting room and when they eventually killed it was prayer after prayer.

Following this experiences, my fellow nairalanders are bats diabolical?

I made some few researches this morning and these are my findings

Surprising Facts about Bats

1. Bats are usually divided into two suborders: Megachiroptera (large Old World fruit bats) and Microchiroptera (small bats found worldwide)
2. No other mammal can fly like a bat can
3. There Are More Than 1,200 Species of Bats
4. There are three different blood-drinking vampire bats.
5. Only the smaller species of bats use echolocation as their main means of orienting themselves. Bigger bats can see well than humans. Sight is a blessing and a curse,
However, because sight can override echolocation signals. For instance, a bat may fly into a window because it sees light outside, even if echolocation tells it the surface is solid.
(Note the point No 5 which says bats can fly into a window even if the echolocation is telling it that the surface is hard which the power of their sight is)
Bats are gifted with the ability to use echolocation. It’s radar for bats, sort of a built in GPS system. Bats bounce sounds off their surroundings, and this allows them to fly in completely dark conditions. It also allows them to hunt at night, because echolocation comes in very handy in locating and identifying prey in the dark.
Bats are both the only mammals that can fly and the only one that can feed on blood. Due to the latter fact, bats are often misunderstood and feared. However, out of a thousand of different species of bats, only three of them are classified as vampire bats
“Bats, like the cat and the owl, are creatures of the night and so are held in high regard by those who practise witchcraft. Their formulas call for the use of bats’ blood, bats’ wings, eyes, heart etc.
In Christian terms, the bat is viewed as "the bird of the devil"

Protests are civilised ways of registering grievances against policies of the government.
The police Act states very clearly duties of the police and no where does the police Act nor 1999 CFRN( as amended ) empowers the police to make laws or categorise offences.
The Police should be reminded that its the rights of Nigerians to stage peaceful protest. Improved welfare of the officers and rank and file of Nigeria Police Force was as a result of advocacy and struggles of several civil society organisations.
The police duty is not to suppress any peaceful protest or criminalise it but to provide security for protesters and prevent it from being hijacked by miscreants. The Police has no right whatsoever to ban any protest.It has no such power.
The Inspector General of Police should caution his men not to make any attempt to truncate peaceful protest which is the only way to ensure the government works for well being of the people including officers and rank of the police force.Never shall Nigerians allow tyranny to rare it's ugly head in Nigeria again.
The protest commences tomorrow and we hope the police and the government will not protract it.
Nigerians are entitled to good governance, improved welfare, adequate security for lives and properties and proper accountability of our resources.
Nothing can permanently imprison a determined soul and people United can never and will never be defeated.

As I was approaching the federal high Court gate this morning for a matter coming up (can't mention right now before the matter is heard because it involves a high ranking profile on corruption charges and am not a counsel) I sighted a man carrying a big stone with his teeth.

With so much amusement , I was stunned and surprised with the size of the stone and the weight and I imagine the kind of strength this man possess.

This guy was not done after dropping this heavy stone though I could not get a picture of that but thank God he was not done and to my surprise he picked and carried a very big wood with his teeth

I do read all of this stuffs on social media about different people lifting a bag of cement and different stuff with their teeth but not until I saw this myself and which made me ask can this be real ? is their a diabolical stuff involved or just their natural strength
