You can continue block work on a slab cast yesterday as long as you leave the props in place.

Parapet has nothing to do with load bearing structural members, so why should it need time to gain strength through curing?

Mind you setting time of cement starts immediately after water is added and normal solidified time is between 6-8hrs.

As long as your parapet is cast and stay without falling under its own weight. You can start your roof work.

Let me even shock you, you can even do your roof work FIRST before parapet.
