Last Sunday, the Sun Newspaper reported that the Federal High Court will on Tuesday, 27 March, deliver judgment on the case of Sullivan Chime vs Alexander Obiechina. I rushed for a copy of the Sun this morning hoping to read the report of the judgment which ought to have been delivered yesterday, only to discover that there is no such information. Please house, i need update on both Chime Vs Obiechina & Chime vs Onwuegbu. Thank y'all. |
But why did she hand over the documents to Ibrahim Larmode, her successor, if her basis for illegally retaining public properties is that she got the news of her sack from the TV? Why didnt she keep even the documents? Very lame excuse! The mere fact that she didnt report to work to assume her duties since she believes she had not been sacked is even a greater offence. Does she think at all? Wonder what ICPC is doing! |
Was it not the same Herman Hembe who granted an interview to the Sun Newspaper, maintaining that he attended the seminar where he met some SEC official. The interview can be found in either of last Saturday or Sunday Sun. Na real waah! |
@op, Seguun has given you the best solution. You get at least 4 louder speakers, a neatly functional amplifier, disc player and a recorded copy of the famous Perikomo music, Ana-edo onu or that of any of the Igbo masquerade cult. If you won't buy, hire them. Connect them properly. Direct all the speakers towards the church and wait until the congregation gather and activities begin, then put on your system. And gradually increase the volume. They will come begging, bet me. |
I would rather believe that her exit will positively improve the micro-economic fronts. Her programmes are basically elitist, tailored towards executing the whims and caprices of her paymasters, the Bretton-wood institutions (World Bank & IMF). She is becoming a burden to our collective progress. Remember her roles in the fuel subsidy saga? Good riddance! |
Well said Okija-Juju. Our youths are victims of circumstances created by the ever-thieving oligarchies and their bureaucratic formations! Its increasingly becoming unfortunate to be a Nigerian. |
"The fault is not in our stars, but in ourselves" Neither big wage bill nor state creation is our problem. Infact more states, if properly managed will serve as growth poles, developing her perculiar resources & talents of her citizenry. Our problem is systemic corruption & high level of managerial inneficiency. |
Why should they tell the South South that they will attack? Do want want accolades or panick? I doubt this source. But if they do, surely, we will all rejoice because, that will be the end of this banana republic |
I wonder what d poster wants. In which area of human endeavour shall we compare them? I dont speak ill of the death. So, we can just do a little OBJECTIVE comparison. One is a living spirit who saved his people from total annihilation by the unjust rulership of Nigeria, the other fought for a post of convinience. One held d nation hostage for almost 3 years and brought international recognition to his people, the other won an election, but was simply cowered and cagged in the prison like a palm-civet cat. One retained the loyalty of ALL his associates to the end, the other lost the trust of many of his associates, including his presidential runinng mate. One died a gallant war-lord, in a prestigious, '5-Star' London hospital, and so died a hero, the other, like a typical glutton died of food poisoning, and so, died a chicken. |
Hon Obahiagbon speaks from his heart, not his lips. That is why his grammatical construction is venomous. |
Good. There are so many of such unlawful detentions. Most of the aim is to extract "bail money". I think we Nigerians are so much in a hurry that we allow our fundamental rights to be voilated with reckless abandon. |
For the folk who said Nigeria is not developed & so he shouldnt do Development Studies in Nigeria, the answer is simply that he wants to study Developments so that he would be able to contribute to the development of Nigeria. And he can do it Nigeria because developmen experts are exportable. Ndo! |
Of course, in their ostrich mentality, the dishonourables think the SNC will lead to a break-up or the adoption of a unicameral legislature, thereby conviniently relieving them of their unbeneficial responsibilities. "those who make peaceful resolution impossible, make violent resolution inevitable" |
Sullivan Chime is a gigantic punishment imposed on the people of Enugu state. The randy drunkard has failed. He earlier increased ESUT tuition from #28,000 to #125,000 but refuses to implement the minimum wage. For 5 years running, the lanky womaniser has done nothing for the state except rehabilitating some old roads in some part of Enugu urban, with countepart funding from the World Bank. He makes mass purchases of Nissan Sunny cabs for less than 2 million naira per unit, then gives on the basis of hire-purchase to poor indigenes. The operator are made to remit to the government over 3million naira in 3year, not considering tears & wears. Specific amounts are paid by the operator every week and if the operator defaults thrice, the cab would be taken from him and given to another person with a little subtraction, thereby making him loose all his previous efforts and giving more than 3million naira to the governor and his brother, Jide, who is the chairman of all government ventures. He has nothing in any other sector, except the fraudulent taxi scheme and road rehabilitation contracts only in Enugu urban. Its a pity |
Those are the Universities built with public funds, by organisations that should be doing charity works with tithe monies. The church managements afterall, turn them to money-goring institutions, feeding fat from the poor miracle-seeking pilgrims. How many of the indigent church-men who contributed to building those universities can afford sending their children to the schools? They are now for the rich who never contributed anything because they dont go seeking for miracles! Why on earth shouldnt church leaders be socially responsible? Why bite the fingers that feed you by turning the schools to private business enterprises? |
Dim, Eze Igbo Gburu Gburu, Ikemba Ndi Igbo, the true embodiment of African Spirit, Iron & Digger Nut, the Man who saw tomorrow, of a truth, i lack the words to qualify you. May you continue to do exploits, in the great beyond, Amin |
The case of Justice Salami is that of giving the dog a bad name in order to hang it. The plan was to ensure that he would not be in office as PCA when the Presidential Election appeal would be decided. They wanted to place a compromiser there to kill the case before returning Salami. That, they have achieved. But i know that truth will someday prevail because truth is divine. And man shall whatever evil he has sown. |
The problem with our generation is that majority of us are unteachable. Self-delusion has robbed many a youth of their intelligence quotience. Intellectual indolence has become the norm. Otherwise, why shouldn't a man who can as much as read, not feel sobered after reading this great piece of revelation? Sanusi has made his modest contribution towards solving the Sharia debacle. The question is, what has been our own contribution. Instead, in our clannishnes, we make unencouraging and idiotic comments against this great Islamic free-thinker, yet we complain about religious fanaticism which has culminated into the sharia imbroglio. May God help my generationg. Thank you Jarus, for that informative post. |
Dear Chimamanda, you made my day with that piece. It gladdens my heart that our generation, bereft of all intellectual nutrients, have your breed as the last bastion of hope. The Almighty has given you the gift of literature to better the lots of humanity. And in doing so, you must expect more insolence, hatred & misunderstanding from the very people you have come to salvage. But i pray that you don't falter, given the very clanish disposition of our countrymen. Please Chi, please keep up the good works. The Almighty has reasons for all his gifts. |
Diplomatic. Tactical. Go-Getters. Public-Spirited. Saviours. |
If that post is just to fool people, i would recommend three drugs for the poster: 1] A seat in the gutters for his buttocks. 2] A glue [better quality gum] for his lips. 3] A hot slap for his sagging cheek. |
Friend, u dont have to be surprised at the bashings u are recieving. Its the product of our incurable false sense of security. It has always been the lot of Truth-Brigers to receive public contempt. But the truth remains adamant. I pity those who would have been martyred on the altar of our political foolhardiness, before we realise our folly. The point has been made by u! |
People easily forget Karmaic effects, because they don't understand the tenets of reincarnation. Efenji is better off than his killers. He might have shed his own Karma. When in their next incarnation, his killers may become maimed- crippled from birth, blind or mentally derainged, they say nature is unfair to them, not knowing that as the Bible noted in Galatians 6:7, they are reaping the fruit of their actions in their former existence. |
I really see hope for us Nigerians. Things will turn up when good men sit up for the right cause. To Prof. Wole Soyinka, i say a big thank you. My spirit is with all of you. Thank you good Nigerians. The truimph of the evil over the good is temporal! |
My people, its truely unfortunate that many of us look out for the slightest opportunity to cast unnecessary aspersions on prominent Nigerians, even those who should be seen as heroes, owing to their exceptional feats. Why should anyone doubt Ribadu. If he had such a collosal sum to forfeit to the government, Ibori would have been a great ally to him. Please, lets commend they who deserve our commendation. Posterity will judge us all. |
Thanks for the thread. I have a B.Sc in GEOGRAPHY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT. E- mail: cosine37@yahoo.com |
Dear, i can assure you that no such 'employer' exists in the real sense. They are 419ers. A real recruitment agency wont demand that you pay into an unknown account. They get to know you first, and you are assured of the job. How do you think an advertised job will not receive more applications than the vacant positions, and so many more people pay just for few vacancies. They are really fakes my people. |
Wow! Franc you are a real poet. I like your sense of humour and choice of words, the rythm and ryme. Think we can do an anthology. What do u say? Please call 08038781797 or e-mail cosine37@yahoo.com |
