thesicilian:Whether I'm a kid doesn't matter. Be humble to accept corrections. |
thesicilian:It's good you learn how to do quick research so that you don't repeat blunders like this ![]() |
thesicilian:Check the program details first before displaying your ignorance. Contrast the result with Harvard executive education |
chatinent:I thought you were sincerely asking questions. But with this comment I know where you belong. Leave Africa and Africans, and go anywhere you like to practise your irreligiosity |
chatinent:No. If an adult male is present where his blood sisters are, it's allowed. However if the congregation includes other females who he doesn't share parents with, then it not allowed. |
chatinent:Thanks for the question. First of all, it's pertinent to note that Islamic laws are not only sourced from the Quran. Other sources include the Prophet's traditions(sayings, practices...), consensus of scholars etc. Back to your question. Yes, the Quran stated clearly that each gender should lower their gazes against the other. This is aimed at minimising free mixing which might lead to immoral activities. Females are allowed entertain themselves decently but not in the presence of adult males. I hope this answers your questions |
This price if for March sha. It must have gone up in 2 months |
Racoon:NMA is not a regulator it's just an association just like Nigerian Society of Engineers and Nigerian Institute of Architects. The regulator of the medical(doctors) profession is MDCN. By the way, I always salute the doggedness of the Yoruba in activism. It's Firdaus Amasa who fought her way until the hijab was allowed to be donned during call to bar events. |
Says someone who governs a state whose people are living in poverty amidst plenty. The penury is so obvious even on the East West Road the moment you cross over from Delta State(Patani) into Bayelsa. Most Niger Delta governors have a penchant to pit their people against the FG or other states. The people fail to realise that their problem is internal. Their leaders steal billions of Naira monthly and only deliver few dividends. The exceptions are perhaps Akwa Ibom and to an extent Rivers. For the umpteenth time, Bayelsa has no reason to be poor even it was wholly on water. It's the least populous state in the country and has perhaps the highest per capita allocation. Diri needs to visit Gombe state which shares a lot of similarities with Bayelsa created 1996, low population, relatively smaller land mass. With the little they have, Gombe has one of the best road infrastructure in the country. So Mr Diri, account for the allocations of you've been receiving before shouting for more. |

People keep saying NL is this and that. Remember that just like Internet, NL is an aggregator of information. If not for the moderation, NL have been Garbage In Garbage Out. What you give is what you get. If in reality tribalism is deep seated in our hearts, it'll surely manifest when one gets to faceless fora like this. So, know what you want. There are tens of interesting sections on Nairaland which are not acerbic. While away your time in Properties, Literature, Travel, Career or any section that entices you. There are several resourceful people out there. |
PUSH14:Yes. Normal movement from Ujevwu is at 8am. Log into nrc.fane.ng |
I don't understand the statement. The Abuja-Kano road was awarded fully to Julius Berger. They've been doing a thorough job especially the Kaduna-Kano axis. After some hiatus, they remobilised to the Kaduna - Abuja section and started work. However, it appears they are been starved of funds. The work is getting stalled. And now Umahi is blabbing that Dangote and BUA will do some sections in concrete. Really? Who told him that we'll be deceived by his concrete roads? The terrain in the north is quite sturdy, asphalt suffices. It's now becoming obvious that hurriedly packaged coastal road is affecting the funding of more critical roads. Umahi and BAT are taking Nigerians on a ride. |
"Kaduna State has a long history of peaceful coexistence among its various communities, from the highlands of Makarfi to the plains of Kagoro. The farmers and herdsmen lived side by side, sharing the land and its treasures. While disputes over land have occurred in the past, the communities have managed to live together and prosper, showcasing their ability to accommodate differences and maintain harmony." The moment I read the above quoted paragraph, I already knew the direction the writer was heading. He's too miserly with the truth. For the past 40 years, there is no state which has been volatile like Kaduna. This is right from the days of military rule down to civilian rule. The major battle Elrufai faced was banditry, which was not peculiar to the state. Then ethnic tensions in Southern Kaduna is a distant second. There was no religious crisis throughout his stay, unlike his predecessors. Elrufai is a man of many facets.-the good the bad and the ugly. But to be fair to him, he was a strong administrator who performed well. As for Sha'aban whom the writer is praising to high heavens, he's mere political chicken. He commands no respect in the political architecture of the state. |
This coastal road is a scam. It's the people of South South I pity the most, because it appears they have been deceived. That road will never reach Warri not to mention Calabar |
Ensa777:Musiwa will just write unintelligible stuff. E sure me say the guy no well. It's been a while I saw him here sha |
Compare the two in US $, you'll see a slump. I know that some taxes especially from the oil and gas industry come is USD |
They should pursue CGC and Dantata out of this job. They've been doing substandard job. Bring in Setraco and CCECC. |
Blazetrailer:Same thing I've been telling people. They knew there'll be uproar if they said they are constructing a 47km road all within Lagos state for more than a trillion Naira. That's why they added the Calabar part. |
Great work. No wonder it the place has up to three gates before you gain entrance |
No idea |
This one no go work o. |
TH is higher ranked. They have more consultants, doctors and other health practitioners. They teach medical students and also run residency programs which MCs don't. |
G00dharddick:It wasn't like this before. There's a history behind it. Anytime a thread from Islam section is posted especially on front page, you'll see trolls and bigots |
The structure in the middle was forcefully sited, making the place an eyesore. |
If this contract was about constructing kcoastal railway, I have no problem. However what sort of balderdash is a 15 trillion road when there's an existing road which connects all the major cities between Lagos and Calabar. Why not channel few trillions and finish up the East West road and Benin - Warri road, then use the rest to develop the coastal railway? It's appaling that some people are trying to turn the affair to a north/south issue. If the coastal railway is built, won't northerners enjoy it too? |
Wike is one of the best preforming ministers thus far. We, Nigerians, need leaders wey get skoin skoin for head. If you're cool headed, you'll hardly be effective as a political leaders. Wike, fire on! |
This is coming late. It was meant for Wednesday morning. Mod to note. Thanks |
The genesis of the divide was political difference which later metamorphosed to a doctrinal one. Shiites insist that Ali bin Abi Talib (Prophet Muhammad's paternal cousin & fourth caliph) was the rightful heir after the Prophet. Sunnis posit that there are three men above Ali in hierarchy I.e Abubakar, Umar & Uthman who were the first, second and third caliphs. |
Jazakumullahu khayran. These are rich words for all to imbibe |
