How does the ineffective functioning of the refineries concerns the APC govt while the refineries have managements responsible for effective functioning of the refinerieshuh
which party is in power,
which party make spurious lies that the past govt is telling lies that nothing happen to the refineries,
which party say by june ending, by mid july, by early august our refinery will be fully functioning.

In as much as people will want progress for this country, but truth be told this APC govt is not ready for truth and serious government, while nt come out clean once. If you tell Nigeria true situation of things, they will be able to understand with you, but using LIES to cover LIES is a 'siting TIME-BOMB' waiting to explode at the fullness of time.

My honest opinion the pdp made way too early moves in this zoning of a thing, for many it has already showed them as been desperate for power, secondly the northerners seem to be more comfortable in this apc government than they were with the pdp especially judging by the appointments made by the president shows the core leadership of this government are in the hands of the north, what makes you think they would want to go back to pdp which has been tagged a southern/eastern party. Secondly politics is like chess and thd pdp has shown once again to be playing its cards way too early, that pmb would not contest is a probability, incase he doesnt there are many northerners to choose from who would rather bank on pmb's popularity in the north than risk a pdp ticket with no guarantee...barcanista you might seem to be a good writer but you are politically naive, buhari was a perfect candidate for apc because he already had a strong structure in his base which neither ribadu, atiku or saraki has, and politics is about structures not online rantings, anyother candidate apart from pmb wldnt have delivered for the apc even it had all the money in the world. What i thought the pdp would be doing is to try to gain back the trust of its supporters and nigerians as a whole in order to gain back its footings by admonishing its elected officials especially the governors to deliver on their campain promises, this was how the ACN rose to prominence through fashola. For now the apc seems to be better in strategising than pdp. 2019 is too far to make early projections, if the pdp would still be relevant till.
The ealier the better, let preparation start in earnest, 2019 is not far, its got to start somewhere, this will give every body concern enough time to think and rethink

The sooner they change name, logo, mission statement, restructure the party, its members and etcetra, the better for them... but if its still these bunch of recycled thieves in the party that hop from one party to another, Am sorry they wont stand a chance @ Presidency even if they like they should zone to the post to Buhari's brother...

BTW, what makes you guys think PMB will allow PDP to take over from him in 2019?

God will also judge you for your lies. That a lie is told many times doesn't make it true. Buhari never said he'll end BH in TWO months, he said FEW months, and that was at the Edo state APC presidential campaign rally. Video evidence is free and accessible from channelstv YouTube archives.
Your statement has not change anything now. 1. I will quench boko haram in few month, 2. Army must quench boko haram by december. PMB to Service chiefs, 3. We have reduce boko haram activities. PMB 4. We have block their source of supply. COAS. 5. bla bla bla, all na still the same thing, nothing change.

Now back to the topic. "I will never resign, even if i'm not able to quench boko haram by december", can we now see that they are already seeing the reality on ground, hence preparing the mind of the gullible once for december failure to meet up with their said promise again.

And why would Nigerians commit the blunder of supporting a PDP presidential candidate?

Oh, I know. So that they can continue to experience Corruption with Impunity. So they can continue experiencing blackout even with over $20 billion spent on Power. So they can continue buying Fuel at exorbitant rates even with Trillions of Naira spent on subsidy. So they can continue experience a weakening of Institutions in the country. So that our National Treasury can continue to be plundered with reckless abandon even in the face of high oil prices. I can go on and on bro.

You are still stuck in the past while Nigeria has moved on. The vast majority of Nigerians will not vote to satisfy party leanings since they have no direct benefits from parties. Nigerians will vote based on who they believe will best serve their needs. That is why they voted for PMB, they did not vote for APC.

PoliticsRe: Osinbajo, El Rufai Feud: Nigerians Cannot Be Fooled By APC's Antics by engineerboat(m): 9:21pm On Oct 03, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
It was surprising that a person in the calibre of Governor Nasir El rufai will abandon the governance of Kaduna state to share an illogical opinion by a certain Dr Peregrino Brimah, where the said doctor made some statement against a section of Nigerians, the media and supporters of Goodluck Jonathan.

For a start, when the said report was first released by Trent Newspaper, I never took it serious because it wasn't backed with a reputable source that one can confirm its veracity or otherwise. However, the moment the APC released statement and an attaching make-to-believe pictures, they gave the impression of one trying so hard to hide an already exposed flaws. Few days ago, Vanguard released a report re-echoing the position of Trent news. Because the APC and Él Rufai apologists couldn't find a perfect way to make Nigerians not to see the obvious, they instead played the blame game by denigrating patriotic Nigerians and also insulted our collective sensibilities.

It is on record that the pro-Biafran advocacy by Nnamdi Kanu and his Radio Biafra group did not start from March 28, 2015. It was there even before the election. A sensible government would sit-down to strategise on how to quell the message of Kanu's Radio Biafra group by orientating and empowering those people that are targeted by the Kanu group instead of deliberately marginalising them. What the government instead was to show these people that they aren't needed in the administration through his pro-northern appointments. Shamefully, Dr Brimah and El Rufai made attempt to justify such unpatriotic act by terming it 'few trusted position'. Was it not 'few trusted' when Dr Jonathan appointed Jega as INEC boss and Aliyu Gusau as National Security Adviser? When did being a pro-Jonathan translate to pro-Biafran? Are Fayose, Jerry Gana, Nuhu Ribadu etc also pro-Biafrans?

Nigerians are very wise to know that Governor Él-rufai is looking for face-saving scheme to cover his assault on the person of Yemi Osinbajo and the denigration of the Vice President's office. It is advisable that Governor el Rufai cease from these unnecessary and childish drama and face the job of providing democratic dividend to Kaduna people, who are regretting the singular decision of bringing him to power.

As for Dr Brimah, I want to advice him to live up to his title. If he's a Medical Doctor, he should be concerned with providing solution to the field of medicine. If he's a Doctor in a field of learning, it will be better for him to be more concerned with contributing to the growth of his chosen academic field. However, if he's a native doctor, it will do him good to strengthen his service to the oracle that he serves. The content credited to him is undeserving of the title he carries.

Finally, I wish to remind the APC that they are now the party in government and should start acting like one. I understand that they miss their opposition role, by the grace of God, Nigerians will revert them to their default opposition status come May 29, 2019.

May God Bless Us All
Its a gross incompetence shifting goal post. APC was brought into government for their promise change, but instead of sitting down to govern, they went about playing blame game.
And some people will be quick to say lets give them two year, and i ask which two year, a termite destroy a house little by little.
As for the photo-show side of this goverment they will soon get an award off 'BEST PHOTO SHOW GOVT in THE WOrLD'

PoliticsRe: At Last, President Buhari’s Cabinet List Out Wednesday - ThisDay by engineerboat(m): 12:24pm On Sep 27, 2015
centvin008:
Odigie-Oyegun: we’re confident Senate will speedily approve nominees
President under pressure to relax criteria on ministers’ appointment
By Nduka Nwosu in New York, Iyobosa Uwugiaren and Onyebuchi Ezigbo in Abuja

The much-awaited list of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees will be released on Wednesday, the last day of the month. Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed this yesterday in New York. Adesina described Buhari as a man of his word, saying Nigerians would not be disappointed as September, the date given for the announcement of members of his cabinet, remains sacrosanct.

With just three days to the end of September, the month Buhari promised to send the list of his ministerial nominees to the Senate for approval, his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Mr. Garuba Shehu, had earlier assured that the president will keep his promise. Shehu gave the assurance yesterday.

This was as Buhari’s party, All Progressives Congress, expressed its confidence that the president would not disappointment the citizens with regard to the appointment of ministers and governance, generally. APC National Chairman John Odigie-Oyegun told THISDAY yesterday by telephone that Buhari meant well for the country and he will do everything humanly possible to ensure good governance.
THISDAY also learnt that the president was under intense pressure to relax his tough standards for qualifying persons for positions in his planned cabinet to avoid alienating many members of his party.
Shehu said, “The president had said it twice that he would submit his ministerial list to the National Assembly in September. As you can see, that position has not changed.”

The presidential aide, who spoke from New York where Buhari was attending the summit of the United Nations General Assembly, advised Nigerians to wait till the end of September.
Odigie-oyegun also urged Nigerians to continue to support the APC administration, saying the party would not shirk its responsibility to the people.

On APC’s position on the release of the ministerial nominees’ names this month, Odigie-Oyegun said, “There is no cause for alarm. We are confident the president will keep his promise. He will not disappoint Nigerians on his pledge to provide good governance for the enhancement of the nation.”

The national chairman also assured on the readiness of the party to galvanise support for the speedy approval of the ministerial list when it is presented to the National Assembly. He said the APC members in the National Assembly were already aware of the need to cooperate to ensure that nothing delayed the roll out of the administration.
The delay by the president in the release of the ministerial list has been attributed to a “suffocating pressure” from some powerful political forces requesting him to shift his ground, especially, in relation to the appointment of persons who, though accused of corruption, have not been convicted in court.

Buhari has consistently said he would not appoint people with questionable character as ministers.
But this well-intended stand of the president has been exploited by political opponents of whoever is believed to be on the cabinet list, as all sort of petitions sometimes containing spurious allegations have been written against likely nominees.
An insider told THISDAY yesterday that the president was still battling to resolve “this moral question.”

The source said, “President Muhammadu Buhari has consistently told us that he would not appoint corrupt and people with questionable characters as members of his cabinet. But in the last few weeks, he has come under suffocating pressure to shift his ground.
“The argument of many people is that the president would side-line his party, the All Progressives Congress, if he maintains his ground to appoint only clean people. This is what has caused the delay and this is the moral question he is currently battling to resolve.”

THISDAY exclusively reported yesterday that as preparation for the submission of the ministerial list to the Senate by Buhari heated up, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Buhari met on Friday at the United Nations Plaza in downtown Manhattan, New York City. Their meeting, which was held at the 37th floor of the plaza behind closed doors, came on the heels of speculations that the ministerial nominees would be announced soon. It was widely rumoured that the discussion of the two men centred on the appointment of ministers in the Buhari government.
A source familiar with the meeting told THISDAY, “The leaders decided to hold the meeting to discuss key national issues, crucial also is the ministerial list.”

The meeting came amid allegations of infighting and differences between Obasanjo and APC national leader and former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, over the nomination of ministers.
THISDAY learnt that at the UN General Assembly meeting, there were several lobbyists wanting to court Buhari’s attention ahead of the ministerial appointments.

It takes him 4 months to complie saints ministers list, now you want Senate to sreen them for two days, very very funny indeed,

No need to send the names to the senate for approval then, if you are trying to force the senate to approve the list under duress of announcement october 1st promise
