In 2011, I was almost 30 and ready to take part in the presidential elections of that year. It was a contest between incumbent Goodluck Jonathan and Gen Mohammed Buhari (rtd). The picture of Buhari was that of a mean figure with an agenda to Islamize Nigeria. Yes, even worse. He was a man whose plan was to introduce austere measures like he did in 1984.

I remember my friend Chibuzor trying to dissuade me from voting for the incumbent Goodluck Jonathan “ the one without shoes”, that Buhari was the man for the Job. How mad can anyone get by wanting to vote for a Buhari with violent Islamic tendencies? one who was the first to ever Jail a woman? Chibuzor Peter has finally gone mad.
I was able to persuade Chibuzor and other of my friends to vote Goodluck Jonathan. For he will deliver the good we want, provide us with the needed Jobs and help restore our Nigerian pride.
Goodluck Jonathan won. INEC announced victory for the incumbent.

But 2 years into the government, an air of lawlessness enveloped every area of our national lives. Bank robberies in Ikoyi, Ikorodu, Ikeja seem unending. Fear slowly replaced hope. Despair became my secret story for I was too ashamed to admit my mistake in Goodluck Jonathan, a gamble gone wrong.
Guys I dissuaded from voting Buhari jokingly taunted me-“See as your uncle don take our shoes for our leg” but I would still try to defend my choice but deep within I knew it was a gamble gone wrong. Boko haram grew fiercer every day to the point when I was afraid I or someone close will be the next target. Then a story came in. My neighbor in the other block in mile 2 was shot in cold blood while her friends were blown to shreds by the Boko haram bastards far away in the North. She was the inlaw to the founder of Iroko network serving in the compulsory NYSC.

At the other side of the Niger was one Asari Dokubo who was been paid huge sums to the tune of 1,000,000 dollars for pipeline survelliance. Where was our Navy? Stories of Dezianni filtered in leading to the suspension and eventual sack of Sanusi lamido.

In the midst of lack, our economy was gradually dollarized. People in high places freely spent dollars within our boundaries. What a shame. I waited till 2015 to correct my mistake in Goodluck. Thankfully this happened in Buhari.
Buhari is far from perfect, but making mistakes and learning is part of the process. Still I cannot completely vouch for him but until a better candidate emerges, he is still the best in the pack.

As for Chibuzor, he is not there yet, but he is far from the hopelessness that loomed at the time.

Why is it that with the high price of crude for over 5 years, the reserves did not go up under GEJ if it is actually paper money. Now get this. Nigeria is a sovereign state and has the right to create its own legal tender which is the naira. The CBN is the bankers of the FG. It has been given the powers to create and print the naira. Outside the shores of this land, the naira is valueless. It cannot be used to buy even pure water. So how do we then buy something outside this country? That is where the FR comes in. The FR is actually real cash owned by Nigeria but cannot be used without regulation because it determines your spending power internationally.

Also some South Eastern states are saying that there will be blood if Buhari come to their state. Recently Fayuse was calling out to Orji Uzor Kalu not to come to Ekiti. Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the surprisingly huge turnout of supporters at the party's mega rally in Katsina state.

Katsina is the home state of president Muhammadu Buhari who is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

In the case of Amaechi, he was a state Governor. The EFCC has no power to investigate the financies of a state unless it is invited by that state (in the case of Odili vs Fg/EFCC). Let Wike invite the EFCC to investigate the state. If they cannot, let Wike or rather anybody with proof show us that Amaechi is living beyond his means, show us his houses, cars, bank accounts(Diezani, FFK, Fayose, PEJ and co comes to mind) etc. The PDP was in Government for 16 years, they have the means to carry such investigation. But till this day, it is all propaganda. Tinubu left Government in 2007, till this day, you rats are still shouting Tinubu! Tinubu!!. What did the drunken master do when he was in power and Tinubu had no immunity? So 11 years after you expect Buhari to investigate him when the trail must have gone cold? Haba. Now on Sakari, the case is in court. The executive has done its best by presenting the case to court. It is left for the judiciary (corrupt or not) to pass judgement. if Buhari dies today, power wii go to south west (Osibanjo) for 4 years after which power will go to the south East, the same way it happened during Yaradua/Gej. It was because Gej was greedy that PDP lost. 2023 is sacrosant to the Igbos. For peace to reign, let Buhari take him 2 terms so that there will not be another story of "it is my constitutional right to serve for 2 term"

Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, with headquarters in Lagos State, has warned the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, not to support President Muhammadu Buhari in next year’s presidential election.

Ayodele, speaking at the dedication of the Emi Ni Aseyori Kan Pro Cathedral a.k.a Sope Parish in Lagos last weekend, claimed that Tinubu would be used and dumped by Buhari.

The cleric also called on the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, to contest for the presidency in 2019 or face the wrath of God.

“The present ‘romance’ going on between Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Buhari is deception; they’re deceiving Tinubu. They just want to use him and dump him. Until we appreciate God and not man, the country will continue to experience underdevelopment,” he said.

On the 2019 presidential election, the cleric stated that God had ordained Saraki to help Nigeria.

“I want to tell Saraki now to make up his mind, because God has ordained him to help this country. He should come out to contest for president. It’s not by noise. At the moment, he is the one who can move Nigeria forward.

“So, I want him to take the bold step and make up his mind or else, God would deal with him. I don’t make predictions; I give prophecies. However, I am not God. God can choose to delay when fulfilling certain prophecies.

“What is happening with the administration of President Muhammad Buhari, God had told me and I said it; these things are happening now. Everything happening in the country now has been foretold,” he stated.
