Mutuwa: Excerpts..
I spent the last 10 hours pleading with Mr President that we should not send the Airforce T/Chiefs Badeh and Amosu to jail. My argument being that the nation invested a lot of money in their training, and we are still fighting a war in the North East. Why not remobilize them, demote them to maybe squadron leader and let them fly sorties over sambisa. ..
The President finally agreed, only for a bloody staff sergeant to point out that non of the goons will fit in a cockpit. Let it be known that I tried to save them from going to jail, but the yams they ate made them too fat to be saved.
By Sunday Folayan Hahahahahaha! The fit into the cockpit got me cracked up |

Politics › Re: "Twitter Orubebe" - Omojuwa Mocked By Ben-Bruce, Nigerians On Twitter by enigma2007(m): 8:47am On Feb 11, 2016 |
Kenai: Actually, it fits Omojuwa perfectly. The boy initially tweeted that he'd never take Ben Bruce seriously, but Ben Bruce quickly retorted by, "Call me when people start dying because Omojuwa refused to take them seriously". It was a death blow that shattered Omojuwa's self esteem, and it didn't help matters that Twitter users began to retweet Ben Bruce's reply.
Omojuwa tried to stage a comeback by cooking up some convoluted story about Ben Bruce sleeping with people's wives including Stella Obasanjo, but the public simply wasn't buying into his nonsense and told him to grow up and act his age instead of trying to attack a man who has achieved morr than he has in life. Omojuwa's ego was totally shattered.
The situation got worse when @AfricaFactsZone tweeted about Ben Bruce's achievements with the SilverBird brand, and Omojuwa (clearly frustrated that people weren't taking his side) said he wasn't surprised that AfricaFactsZone is a brand owned by a "wailing wailer" (Isima Odeh, an 18 year old Bini boy). Isima Odeh quickly stepped in and blasted him by saying he was content with his life and was happy he didn't need to lick politicians' butts to earn a living like Omojuwa did (this is an 18 year old boy taking a 30-something year old man to the cleaners!) The comeback was so epic that Twitter went wild, retweeting Isima Odeh's tweet across the board. A comedy account called @TrailerJamShow retweeted the exchange, bringing Omojuwa even more mockery and shame.
Omojuwa, realizing the game was up, tried to buy an escape route by alleging that the TrailerJamShow account belonged to a senator. And that was when the account replied him by saying, "Twitter Orubebe, if you don't want to keep getting jammed by trailer, stay on your lane". And that was the end of Omojuwa's reputation on Twitter, as "Twitter Orubebe" began to trend in an instant.
So, if you ask me, Omojuwa ended up as the butt of jokes, as he was kicked and tossed around by Ben Bruce, Isima Odeh, Bimbocash and even the TrailerJamShow. Thanks! Was wondering what happened that got him the new title |

sweetgala: The US export both the F15 and F16 in high numbers in fact I don't think the US have taken on boards any new F16 in a long time, they'll done overhauls on old inventory to modernise them but that's about it.
They were not happy selling to Nigeria beforehand thou, that may have changed with PMB coming into play.
The main reason we buy alpha jets remains cost, they cost about $8 million or less while an F16 cost north of $20 million new or about 13 for a refurbed unit.
I doubt we have the expertise to maintain American either, I tend to prefer Russian jets That makes sense! |

meccuno: The group of people that won't like this are 1. Boko Haram 2. The White Man 3. The Tribes Who Don't Like Anything Igbo 4. People Who Don't Want The Progress Of Nigeria............but why do we still use alpha jets? When there are f15 and f16s.....?? @ least we can start from there!! Very soon, innoson would start manufacturing air crafts Some of those technologies are restricted and so i doubt US would export them to another country. We need to create our own defense industry or import from countries that do not restrict buying of latest technologies. |

mployer: He doesn't need to do year-to-year comparison. He ought to know what is good and what is not. Bros! What i am trying to explain is that in order to fully appreciate the budget, he needed to have put it in context of the previous year budget or even spend (actual). That could have helped him in weeding out the excesses. Knowing what is good and what is not, is not a function of just glancing at the figures and slashing like that. Making hard decisions is not a function of sentiments or feelings. He needs to use hard data. |

BekeeBuAgbara: Didn't Buhari go through the budget before presenting it to the senate? The same man who said he was slow to avoid mistakes. He's corrupt, he should stop deceiving Nigerians that he is fighting corruption. Its possible that he went through it but he might not have done year-to-year comparisons. |

As the saying goes (IT WILL GET WORST BEFORE IT GET BETTER) NLC and TUC should go fight for Nigerian that are being maltreated by international employees in their own country and stop these unnecessary action that bring no positivity to the people. The same NLC and TUC went on strick during the GEJ January 2012 Fuel strike for subsidy removal, which didn't help Nigeria at all. the subsidy has been removed in 2016 still now they going for another unnecessary strike action. Shame. I have stopped taking NLC n co serious long time ago! We even jokingly renamed them "Petroleum Labour congress" in my office On the topic, the investors need to make money in order to improve or add to the existing infrastructure. They are not running a charitable organisation neither are they the government. They are in the biz to make money |

The media do not help matters as most kids are now exposed to sexually explicit content all in the name of musical videos.. wahala dey My brother, i grew up during the time of 4pm - 10pm/12am TV shows and my parents were actively involve in my devt. Also, they will rather tell you to go outside and play than watch TV all through. In hindsight, 24 hrs TV is beginning to look like a curse. |

Interesting analysis... Personally, i find it really alarming that kids of nowadays watch TV programmes without control unlike what was obtainable in the past especially here in the South West (Can't say much about states in the SE region). Parents are using this to distract their wards from disturbing them rather than enforcing the "Go and read your books" mandate... |

Jonathan regime brought the idea of BVN, but he lacked the balls to implement it Buhari got their and did the implementation within a very short period of time without minding to step on toes. the bulk of the arms deal investigation were gotten from this policy.
implementation is the key in any administration even if u have good policies, without implementation you are a failure just like..... I no mention name oh Thank you for this.. people are busy bashing themselves up and down the thread without seeing that governance to some certain degree should be continuation and implementation of policies that would benefit the masses in the long run. |
