Hearme: Which universities are you even talking about? The least university in South Africa is better than our best. Don't even mention Egypt or Kenya? Same applies to our hospitals, what has the FG done to improve the hospitals? Why are they all traveling out for check up? Why is the petroleum industry bill pending? Why is Farouk case and other high profile cases pending? Why is there serious attention to the divide in PDP rather than attention to National issues. Why is it easier to do bad things and very difficult to do good things? Why is it easier to grant amnesty to militants and bail out banks, and we cannot bail out education and health? Why is it that Nigeria is the only OPEC country that imports refined Oil. Why can't I have power supply for 72hours stretch and my fixed charge has been increased by 200% in 3 years (250- 750)?To start with, am predominantly talking of state varsities cos we all knows dat they charges exorbitant fees than dat of their fed counterpart..can u pls enlighten me of what use is acceptance, medical, huge tuition fees etc used for by d state varsities? Am not disputing d fact dat our leaders re bunch of corrupt entities, but will u tell me you've neither given nor taken bribe b4? U c most of us(citizens) re partaker of these corrupt practices.. Moreso,u lamented dat they travels abroad 4 treatment, yes I agreed but inspite of this, NMA rarely embark on such prolong strike unlike ASUU..They (ASUU) involves in different act be it extortion, molestation, selling outrageous shoddy handouts or what aview. Am quite sure there re fewer chances of those attrocities carried out by our lecturers I mentioned above happening in those countries u mentioned... Finally, am using this medium to urge ASUU TASUED chapter to join those state unis dat av opted out of this prolonged strike cos d earlier, d better. |
Sirkris: from what the president said, he won't add a dim to what has already been released to ASUU. even if they stay at home for only God knows when.I've vowed not to comment on any ASUU's issues again but with wut u've said, it seems am gonna shift ground on this. I think u re right when u said 'he won't add a dime'. For crying out loud, ASUU is not d only professional body in Nigeria, so y re they doing this to we students by embarking on a long illegal strike... It seems these ppl re not thinking @ all cos if they do, they'll know it only affects d students and not FG.. Perhaps, their so called earned allowances should be generated via school internal revenue..To be candid student re paying more than enough. I've been saying this b4, state varsities av no rights whatsoever in joining hands with the federal varsities to strike since they re founded and funded by d states. Well, am urging them to call off d strike soon with an immediate effect. |
Jonnie29: the demon in him as be cast out.hmmm...bado |
Well, to my poly friends u re welcome back home once more.. @post, I think these educational bodies(ASUU,ASUP) re out of their minds, cos if not they won't use disheartening strike as only effective means to show their grievances whilst helping to exterminate our educational sector. #TWO WRONGS CAN'T MAKE A RIGHT. |
I'd give d fact a 55%.... Big for nothing fool equals Agun ma niye... |

SimonAndal: _I believe she said d right thing...Nigeria Universities libraries re nothing to write home about. But we need not to compare it to d western counterparts cos u all knows dat most infrastructures in Nigeria re of lower standards compared to...even though there re needs for comparism, our libraries should be compared with dat of other African countries though we have d resources in building modern and well equipped libraries but our leaders will rather lavish d money frivolously. Perhaps,we can take something out of nothing if n only if we can strive hard as an individual student to achieve our desired goals...Personally,I haven't stepped into my school library to make use of d library's resources right from time in which is not a barrier for me academically. NB: THE JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH A STEP. |
annexes: Very soon could be next year, i jezz pray they call it off asap.hopefully, I say amen 2 dat. |

If they like they can embark on a 10year strike dats their problem....my main concern is 4 ASUU to call off. |
olala32: nans re very stupid......what if ASUU calloff the strike on 2week and embark again....wht i wan nans to do is tht they shud find their way to bbc newyork and public their complain live so tht obama may also see wht the count3 is all about ,and nt by receivin fault story of the con3 frm gud luck....this may make obama call Gudluck to order....u no tht Gudluck is obama houseboy...him go obey him oga.....u people shud leave ASUU alone ASUU re fightin for the future of this con3...knowin tht education is tools for development... Get it!!!!!!!!!To be candid, ur problem re numerous! |

FG,ASUU,NUC re all guilty. Why is dat bastard mounting d blame on FG and NUC... Of wut provision(s) is ASUU using d huge money being paid by students as school fees n other irrelevant fees? Apparently, ASUU is neither d only body educational wise(ASUP,COESU) nor non educational wise(NMA,etc). The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) didn't embark on such prolong strike unlike ASUU's despite d fact that some public office holders travel n receives treatment abroad, still they(NMA)came to compromise and make do with wut d FG could offer them. Come to think of it, they(NMA) re one of the most important bodies in Nigeria regards to safeguarding d health of the ppl. Moreover, they(NMA) neither sleep wit patients for treatment nor charges them erroneously bills. But reverse is d case with ASUU,still they re forming James Bond. Moreso, why is it dat d figure head NANS executives re not taking any drastic measures for instance, taking to the street peacfully inother to show their grievances to those who re concerned, by so doing I think it will draw the attention of relevant authorities... |
author=Mubby4luv]I no go comment. vex dey catch me
shame |
sometimes when i see people blame ASUU, i just wonder, is it that these people are daft or they are just been pathetic, while sue people for fighting for there rights, why not sue the FG for not paying them, arent they entitled to it, same goes to that old man that sued them, whatever could be the reason for them to wake up one day and think the next thing to do is SUE!! For the love of God, most of them dont even no the meaning of that SUE o....awon alainise se jatijati!!!
They ought to av sued the duo-(FG n ASUU)though...come to think of it, ASUU has no legal right to embark on strike based on a mere disagreement between them, aren't we (students) paying exorbitant school fees in some federal n state varsities?. Why can't they make do with any other means that is effective in showing their grievances, instead joining hands with d useless FG to paralyse the educational sector? Personally,I think ASUU re set of cabals; y re they even collecting salaries that they didn't work for since d commencement of the strike,I thought they re fighting for our rights...The aftermath of this disheartening strike has led to increase in social vices be it deliquencies, prostitution, thuggery, extortion or wut aview. In a news day b4 yesterday,I heard that a senior lecturer in unilag was killed by an unknown gunman...Even if the FG approve d 2009 agreement,it won't stop them(lecturers) 4rm collecting bribes, sleeping with d female students for awarding marks, selling shoddy handouts outrageously, some won't even come to lecture on time, while some insult student's parent as if they re the cause of their predicament. By n large, its high time they seek and found a lasting solutions to this methodology... #CRAZYPEOPLE. |
arcbabe: I never did any of those and am seriously regretting it now,may God help me to retrace my steps b4 it's totally late. The opposite sex can dangerously, harmfully and seriously destroy a students career if not properly checked.Dearie, is never too late. |
