Adverts / How To Make A Fortune From The Nigerian Stock Exchange: Phase III by enolase(m): 8:53pm On Aug 22, 2007
Hello people.

We are about to enter the last four months of the year 2007, described as the year of the bull by many stock analysts.

http://www.nairastocks.com has been a remarkable success with as many as 60 active subscribers. Everyday I keep getting calls from people who still want to join.

I am now taking Nairastocks.com to a brand new level with the following new innovations:

1) How to access user-friendly loans to trade stocks. If you think this is a silly point, listen to this.

I have had cause to counsel both subscribers and non-subscribers who bought into some of the public offers with facilities like Share plus, and margin facilities offered by some top broking firms, on the implications of their actions. Some are going to be in some real soup when the time for repayment comes.

I will wait for those who bought some of the ongoing public offers with some loans some banks and top broking firms gave them to tell the story in a few months for themselves. Then you will realise how important it is to have this information.

2) How to access the so-called "unavailable" stocks. Believe me when I tell you that there is no such thing as an unavailable stock. Even the stocks that are now on technical suspension can be got, But there are secrets to doing this. You need to subscribe to know.

3) How to invest wisely with dates (end of year and quarterly results), especially in a bearish market (i.e. when the market is going down).

4) Subscribers to get opportunity for private placements, where you have the opportunity to buy into stocks that will soon be listed on the NSE very cheaply (usually at a 100% discount or more). Anyone who has tried know it is so scarce to get the forms; they only circulate in the hands of a few. Just to illustrate this point, this is how private placements work.
[li] You buy a stock at a heavily discounted price via private placement.[/li]
[li] This stock is listed at a higher price (sometimes at 100% higher or more[/li]
[li] The stock in question usually rises by as much as 300% to 500% due to scarcity and other positive triggers.[/li]
[li] Those who have the stock will now sell at a particular point, making returns of at least 300% or more. Investors who bought NEM insurance actally made more than 1000% returns on six months! shocked[/li]
Do I need to tell you more?

Now this is how you get to benefit.

I have decided to open the way for just 10 members of this forum to get into Phase III by offering a N1,000 quarterly discount, a N2,000 bi-annual subscription discount, and a N4,000 annual subscription discount for subscribers from Alabiforum.com. That means that you get to save more money and actually make more money from the improved services that will be available to you.

So in essence, subscriptions for 3 months, 6 months and one year will be N18,500, N37,000 and N74,000 respectively.

So be part of the new, improved Nairastocks.com. To find out how to register, go to http://www.nairastocks.com.

PS: In life, only those who dare to be different will stand above the rest. If you just buy shares for the sake of buying shares, you will only get mediocre results. But if you trade stocks the way the gurus and experts do, you will make so much money that your neighbours will think you are involved in advance fee fraud.

So make this count. Visit http://www.nairastocks.com for details.

Investment / Re: First Bank Shares Certificate: by enolase(m): 6:27pm On Aug 21, 2007
Sorry bros, but bank offers take quite some time because CBN has to ratify the allotments. You are looking at a timeframe of close to 6 to 9 months.

SEC can only give directives. They are not the ones who will process the certificates. undecided
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by enolase(m): 12:38pm On Aug 20, 2007
To the guy who is wondering what is happening to First Bank.

Have you ever seen a human being or a plant growing continuously without end?

This is the same with stocks. No stock grows continuously without break. That is why graphs of stock prices do not go up or down in a straight line but in a zig-zag fashion.

First Bank has tired out. The trigger that spurred the share price increase from N40 to almost N60 (scarcity and the scrip issue) is no more at work. Also a downward trigger is at work (profit taking).

You better sell now because the stock is almost due for mark down as well.

You need to have a good researcher who can predict stock price behaviour and advise you accordingly.

Cheers.
Investment / Re: Effect Of Naira Redomination On Stock Market Investments? by enolase(m): 12:14pm On Aug 20, 2007
Well, let me clarify this issue a bit.

Re-denomination is not revaluation. This needs to be understood clearly. The Naira is not going to be re-valued.

What is going to happen is that the bulk of money that will be used in transactions will be reduced by a division factor of 100. The over all value will remain the same.

So cost of goods and services will be reduced by this factor.

Salaries will also be reduced by this factor.

All payments will be reduced by this factor.

Stock prices, dividends, etc etc etc will also be reduced by this value. As a consequence, a new set of coins and notes different from what we use now (even the N5, N10 and N20 notes) will be changed.

This policy was recently done in Ghana, and has been done by other countries in Europe in the past. So it is nothing new.

However stock investors and forex traders in the house need to be informed about how this policy will affect them.

FOREX TRADERS

If you make a forex trade and make a profit of $1000, the Naira value from August 2008 (new Naira) will be N1250. However, your N1,250 will still be equivalent to today's Naira value (old Naira) of N125,000. So you have lost nothing. Status quo remains.

STOCKS

Prices of stocks will also be reduced by two decimal places. So a N60 stock now will be equivalent to a 60 kobo stock in August 2008. This will however force companies to do share reconstructions so as to cut the no. of outstanding shares and boost the share prices.

The highest-priced stock in Nigeria in real terms is not even up to $2. But when the re-denomination of stock prices occur and share reconstructions are done, prices will be boosted and will now be equated in real terms in US dollars. This will boost a lot of foreign investment into quoted companies (knowing that share prices can now compete internationally), and there will be a corresponding boost in share prices.

By then, when a stock gets from a re-denominated value of N6 to maybe N20 or N30 (equivalent then to $20 or $30), then investors will really smile because then their investments in Naira terms will have value internationally.

So anyhow you look at it, it will be great times for investors.

You should have bought this stock during their private placement which ended two weeks ago prior to listing. You will have to be a real hunter to track down and get this stock on the exchange as it will be scarce for some time to come.

Why? Those who presently have it will not be willing to sell! tongue

It's a good buy though, if you can get it now.

I bought a prepaid MTN recharge card recently and scratched it my self. upon loading, i was told that the card has been used. Why would anyone waste time recommending a stock like Greif Nigeria Ltd that is simply unavailable on the floor?(just look at the trading volumes and number of deals per trading day).

Are investors supposed to get them from the sky?

I think it will be more beneficial for forum members to be told by the experts something like, which insurance stocks will soon be listed so that investors can try to get them through cross deals prior to listing.

I introduced my people at Nairastocks.com to INTENEGINS and GUINEAINS. Many got it through cross deals, and because the stocks were got at relatively cheap prices (between N1 and N1.80), some were able to get at least 1 million units.

These two stocks are heavily undervalued and should get to between N3 and N5 with relative ease, making millionaires out of those who got them.

What say ye all to this?

Dangote was simply responding to a question in an interview granted recently. He should not be taken out of context.

It was really scary!

This is probably the stupidest thing any govt can do. People get together, kill people and cause problems for others in society. Now they are being rewarded.

Nigeria is the only country in the world where crime is rewarded. Anyway, what do you expect?

EFCC is busy jailing Yahoo boys, but can't seem to prosecute ex-governers who were known to be corrupt.

Sometime in 1998, my school then offered a reward of N20000 for any gun returned by suspected cult members. You know what happened?

Guys simply went to the notable Awka blacksmiths and produced pistols en masse at the rate of N5000 per pistol, returned same to the school and made a profit of N15,000 per pistol.  tongue

While the school authorities went to the press and displayed the supposedly returned pistols, boasting about how their attempts at eradicating cultism were succeeding, the cult guys were smiling all the way to the bank! shocked

Now we are seeing a repeat of something similar.

Shey Asari say RVSG dey owe am N137 million in a previous money for arms deal?

As Sonny Okosuns said in the early 80s in one of his songs, WHICH WAY NIGERIA?
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by enolase(m): 4:25pm On Jul 08, 2007
Companies are in the habit of using media blitz and other tactics to "hype" their offers so people can rush to buy.

Case in point: The First Bank Offer.

One of the strong points used in the media campaign was the 1 for 1 bonus.

A layman will simply rush in to buy just on hearing this. Not knowing that such hefty bonuses increase the no.of outstanding shares and makes it harder for the company to produce good earnings per share. (a key point for those seeking capital appreciation).

So as Easimoni has said, it is better to look well before you leap into that stock. Sometimes public offers are not the best when seeking good returns on a particular stock.
Adverts / Re: Become A Millionaire From The Nigerian Stock Exchange In 2007 by enolase(m): 2:16pm On Jul 06, 2007
Hello,

The initially advertised 40 spaces available for Nairastock.com's subscription service were all snapped up so fast, I wondered about it.

It made me realise how much a lot of Nigerians want to make money from stocks.

I had wanted to stop there, but I still have a lot of people calling and bombarding me with requests to join.

So I have decided to take on extra 20 persons, but at an increased fee of N19,500 per quarter.

But wait, I have something for you.

To celebrate my wedding anniversary, I have decided that between Monday July 9 and July 14, the subscription fee will be reduced to N13,500 for the first three months. Such enrollees will however revert back to N15,000 for three months, once their initial three month subscription ends.

Remember that this offer will only last one week (July 9-14) and will not be extended.

So take advantage of this massive price reduction and get started on the journey to becoming a millionaire from the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Cheers.

Existing subscribers will get a bumper surprise from me. Watch out for details later.

Investment / Re: Ipo/public Offer Help by enolase(m): 12:35am On Jul 01, 2007
Some broking firms like mine have downloadable versions of public offer forms that you can download online, fill, and send as a scanned document by email to any of your relatives here in Nigeria to submit for you. I did this for a few friends with respect to the First bank offer.

Investment / Re: Having CSCS Account Numbers: How Advisable? by enolase(m): 11:30pm On Jun 30, 2007
Cashcraft were suspended from trading for three weeks in May because of a petition that was written from unknown quarters to the SEC on the issue of some of their branches not being headed by certified stockbrokers.

The SEC then took a tour of the affected branches and eventually the issue was settled and Cashcraft was cleared for trading.

This however created a massive backlog of clients whose account opening processes were affected. In addition, Cashcraft has arguably the largest number of clients of all broking firms in Nigeria, due largely to their policy of collecting as low as N100,000 for account opening, utilizing the power of numbers. This is unlike firms like IBTC which prefer to get fewer clients with high-net worth (utilizing the principle of volume).

This policy of Cashcraft, while laudable (because it allows intending investors who do not have much money to start off with to participate in the stock market) is beginning to create an administrative headache.

When I started trading, I got my CSCS number in four days.

Now it can take as long as 8 weeks for customers to get CSCS numbers. At Nairastocks.com, I have had to take some very radical decisions of late because of the problems I am currently having securing CSCS numbers for a few clients for the reasons deduced above.

I understand that it is now possible to go to the CSCS directly and pay some money to obtain a CSCS number. I intend to use this approach to get CSCS numbers for new clients at Nairastocks.com.

Perhaps others can employ this approach too.
Investment / Re: How Do I Get A CSCS Number? by enolase(m): 11:12pm On Jun 30, 2007
You can do this by going through a stock broking firm. They will open an in-house account and a CSCS account for you. However, unusually long delays from the stockbrokers I use has led me to do some research, and I have recently found out that you can go to the CSCS directly and open a CSCS account (will require a payment though) Details on http://www.cscsnigeria.com.

Politics / Re: Yar'adua Declares His Assets by enolase(m): 1:23pm On Jun 29, 2007
If Yar'Adua declared N150 million in 1999, investments in the NSE alone from 1999 till date can CERTAINLY give him that amount of money.

Don't forget that he may have received congratulatory gifts from friends and associates. And of course, it should also be known that once an individual has a sizeable amount of money/assets, it becomes a lot easier to secure bank loans to finance business ideas that can make the individual more money. That's how the rich are able to get richer.

This man has at least done something that no Nigerian president has done in the past, and even went ahead to give us a break down of his assets.

He directly intervened in the labour strike, and I have it from very good sources that he has personally intervened in the ASUU impasse which may lead to the suspension of their strike next week.

When OBJ was there, did he declare his assets? Did he not engineer a lot of problems for Yar'Adua by increasing fuel prices and increasing VAT, and refusing to honour agreements entered into with trade unions in Nigeria?

Haba, let's give Yar'Adua a chance!
Adverts / Re: Become A Millionaire From The Nigerian Stock Exchange In 2007 by enolase(m): 5:28pm On Jun 26, 2007
NEWS FLASH: June 25, 2007

As a result of the long delays in obtaining CSCS numbers currently being experienced by new subscribers of Nairastocks.com without existing CSCS numbers, I am constrained to announce that I shall henceforth be using another broking house in order to facilitate the speedy release of CSCS numbers for new clients who do not have one.

To our clients who are yet to get theirs, I apologise profusely. Information reaching my desk has it that our present brokers did not trade for three weeks in May on the orders of the SEC to allow for some inspections of their office facilities nationwide by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

This created a massive backlog of clients from their more than 10 branches nationwide, and this has resulted in delays in processing CSCS accounts for clients.

The broking firm has since resumed trading and I expect the delays currently being experienced in processing CSCS numbers to be sorted out soon.

However, I am taking this move to preserve the integrity and business model of Nairastocks.com, so that clients can get their CSCS numbers in good time and start trading.

Meanwhile, I am making concerted efforts to ensure that the CSCS numbers of affected clients are released as soon as possible.

Cheers.

Webmaster.

Autos / Re: Is Driving With A/C On The Highway Ok? by enolase(m): 11:52am On Jun 25, 2007
naijadey:

If its fuel consumption you are concerned about, driving the the AC at speeds above 55mph(88km/h) is more efficient than leaving the windows down at such speeds. The reduced aerodynamic drag compensates the increased stress on the engine. Its when AC is used in stop and go traffic that the consumption increases dramatically.

A good tactic would be to turn on your AC once you get on the highway and turn it off once you get off. The irony is that its in those stop and go traffic that you REALLY need the AC, so only do this if you don't mind the heat.

Straying from the topic a bit, I've always wondered why there is no wet suit for terrestrial purposes. It would reduce the need for AC significantly because water is a very good insulator from heat or cold. thats how come scuba divers don't go into hypothermia (low body temp.) without wearing huge coats. The thin layer of water trapped in between the wet suit insulates them from the surrounding cold water.

SUMS IT ALL UP. It is a balance between the aerodynaic drag created by the open windows, and the extra load on the engine by the AC which reduces the mileage per gallon (or litre, whichever measurement you take).

But in Port Harcourt with all the touts around, driving with your AC may be the best option to prevent being robbed or attacked by these hoodlums.

NB: Even if you have no A/C, this option will help you o!. I was once attacked in similar circumstances. Luckily, the guy I was driving with was a Deputy Superintendent of Police who did not hesitate to put his service pistol to good use, saving us some embarrassment. tongue

The entire greedy political class should be destroyed yes eliminated so that the new ones that will take over will know that the people are more powerful than the govt.until till then NLC officials, govt and media houses will be raking in millions in time like this.
NOBODY CAN MAKE You INFERIOR\SUFFER WITHOUT UR CONSENT.

Exactly what is your point?

After the Sept 11, 2001 attacks, several Western governments gave out user-friendly loans and various financial concessions to airlines because the fear of flying cut number of passengers to levels that threatened the airlines with bankruptcy.

The US govt. heavily subsides agricultural products to help their farmers stay competitive in the international commodities market.

There are other examples of how Western governments are showing that the word Democracy does not mean rig your way to power and go and "chop".

Governments in Africa and especially Nigeria are not accountable to the people, because the people's votes do not matter anymore. In Nigeria now, all that needs to be done to secure election victory is for the ruling party to get the electoral commission to award votes arbitrarily to preferred candidates.

Or do I say, to ANNOINT candidates.

How many places recorded elections in Nigeria? Let's be very honest to ourselves.

When a cabal of old corrupt politicians simply re-cycle themselves and force themselves on the people through rigging, do they listen to the people?

Are they aware of the plight of the citizens?

Do they hold referendums to seek the people's opinion on issues?

The answer is NO! Afterall, who are they responsible to?

People should stop defending the indefensible. It is a complete anomaly that Nigeria, the 6th largest producer of crude oil in the world cannot refine its crude to get enough petroleum products to match local demand.

Why are the refineries not working?

Why was the Abacha loot not used to finance construction of new ones?

The former Finance Minister under Abacha ((Anthony Ani) refunded the sum of 30 MILLION DEUTSCHMARKS, as well as other unspecified sums of money in hard currency, claiming it was a gift from Abacha himself.

What about the monies recovered from the like of Jerry Useni (undisclosed sum found under a carpet in his house), or Tafa Adebayo Balogun (is it Fire for Fire or Fire for Naira ) who had several undisclosed sums in several banks?

What of the money recovered from Abacha's family? Has anyone publicly come to tell Nigerians how much has been recovered so far?

How much was paid to Emeka Offor to do TAM for our refineries, after which they all broke down within six months? An unconfirmed source in a television interview estimated 750million US Dollars ( I am not sure of this figure though).

Now does anyone want to tell me that with all this money scattered left, right and center, we could not have built at least four new refineries between 1988 (when the last one was built) and now?

If these issues are not resolved now, when will they be resolved?

All those criticising labour for going on strike should go and search their conscience!
