Crime / Re: This Guy Should Be Shot by enolase(m): 3:30pm On Oct 24, 2006
Coco29 should watch her language!

Who is she to keep criticizing Nigeria?

Worse atrocities are committed in UK, Europe and US. Has the whole world come to an end?

People who do nothing but bash Nigeria and Nigerians should be expelled from the forum! angry
Crime / Re: Vedanix Fraud Update! Revealed: THE MASTERMIND BEHIND THE SCAM! by enolase(m): 3:13pm On Oct 24, 2006
Just4jay should be warned about making unsubstantiated claims. angry It is called in legal parlance "LIBEL". It is a very serious offence.

If I were Toye, I would have had my lawyers after him. People like him are the ones killing other peoples's legitimate business.

I have had dealings with Toye for three years. Not a single problem. Orders are always fulfilled. He is also hosting my websites as well.

So Seun, you should for once be balanced in your moderating and kick this just4jay fellow out from the forum. angry
Celebrities / Re: Whitney Houston Divorces Bobby Brown by enolase(m): 7:25pm On Sep 18, 2006
I really must comment on this! I hope that Whitney's experience will serve as a lesson for all intending couples.

FOR THE WOMEN!

Any woman who decides to marry a man that is not born again is asking for trouble. A man who is TRULY born again will not do the following:

1) Clubbing (with all the attendant things that go with it)

2) Do drugs

3) Womanize/ cheta on his partner

A born again husband will as the bible puts it, "love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave HIS life for it."

He won't cheat on her and cause her pain endlessly. He won't turn her into a punching bag no matter the provocation.

He will help her up when she is down. He will not take advantage of her.

Bobby Brown was not born again, has never been and only God knows if he will ever be. All the things he has done to her are not surprising; he is only behaving true to type because the devil is the one in charge of his life!

SO LADIES, LOOK WELL BEFORE YOU LEAP. RERMEMBER, DO NOT BE UNEQUALLY YOKED WITH UNBELIEVERS!

I might sound like I am too much of a preacher, but this is the cold hard truth!

I am a married man, and I can tell u, I should know better.
Sports / Re: 4 Goals In 3 Matches! Will Kanu Be The Goal King In The Epl This Season? by enolase(m): 7:16pm On Aug 30, 2006
Ugwumba seems to have something personal against Kanu.

I personally think that Kanu can get up to 20 goals this season.

If you look at the kind of role he is playing in Portsmouth, he is being allowed to play his natural style, unlike at West Brom or even Arsenal.

Kanu is it! cool
Sports / 4 Goals In 3 Matches! Will Kanu Be The Goal King In The Epl This Season? by enolase(m): 2:08pm On Aug 29, 2006
Kanu has added two more goals to his tally. The question is: Can he beat other strikers to the highest goal scorer's award in the Premiership this season?
Travel / Re: Don't Travel To The UK: No Jobs Anymore by enolase(m): 8:57pm On Aug 09, 2006
You must have a UK degree or job experience in order to get a good job in the UK.

Anyone leaving Nigerian for the UK should do so using a student visa (in essence, registering for a degree)

This guarantees an automatic work permit (max of 20 working hours a week).

Once you are through with your degree, there will be more than enough jobs.

But if you jump out straight to the UK with no Uk degree or job experience, then forget it. You go really suffer! cry
Travel / Re: Driving From Abuja To Jos by enolase(m): 8:51pm On Aug 09, 2006
Hello,
I travelled from Abuja to Jos as recently as three weeks ago.

It is a 3 hour journey.

The road is very smooth from beginning to end; no potholes whatsoever.

Is is safe? There are only 2 checkpoints; both are manned by soldiers. I advise you set off early. Avoid still being on that road by 6pm. There are a lot of areas which you can say are "no man's land"; right in the middle of nowhere. Can be scary shocked
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: FG Bans DSTV From Airing English Premiership by enolase(m): 1:30pm On Aug 08, 2006
The FG has no right to interfere in a market that was de regulated in 1992.

Where were we Nigerians when the South Afrcians came here, set up DSTV and started making money from it? IS it that in a country of more than 100 million Nigerians, no one had the IQ to start a DSTV company?

Chief Udemba of CTL has now come up with his Trend TV which ius still no match with M-Net.

If we are good enough, then let us come up with something that can match M-Net's DSTV. If a product is as good as or even better than another one, market forces will come to play and prices will be forced down, while maintaining good services; all to the benefit of the public.

I think Frank Nweke and his people should really go back and study the principle of demand and supply in a deregulated economy.

It is a shame that those who should know are coming up with such outrageous decisions. angry
Health / Re: How To Get Rid Of Bad Breath by enolase(m): 5:16pm On Jul 31, 2006
Great reply Kheme!

My wife simply cannot stop kissing me and I mean the real French Kiss. I taught her the same tongue brushing principles and it has been a wonderful experience.

TONGUE BRUSHING IS IT!
Health / Re: How To Get Rid Of Bad Breath by enolase(m): 5:13pm On Jul 31, 2006
Well, so many responses, but very few hit the nail on the head. I will respond as a doctor in the house.

Source of bad breath in many cases? THE TONGUE! tongue

Great attention must be paid to brushing the tongue with the toothbrush, especially that part of it closest to the throat. This is because most of the bacteria that act on food particles left in the mouth after eating to produce sulphur compounds are located on the tongue. Brushing the tongue to remove the whitish to milkish coating on the tongue (the by-product of this oxidative reaction) will definitely help.

A second option is to increase salivary secretions in the mouth. Saliva is a powerful natural antibacterial agent. It's secretion can be released by chewing SUGAR-FREE chewing gums (Wrigley's for example) or by chewing regular chewing gum long after the sugar in it must have gone.

Try these out and you will see results in the next few days.
Career / Re: Unemployment in Nigeria by enolase(m): 9:39am On Jun 06, 2006

Religion / Re: Speaking In Tongues: What's That All About? by enolase(m): 3:04pm On May 15, 2006
Hello,

Any serious Christian who knows what speaking in tongues is all about need not answer people like Seun (or is it Nwoke) and his people.

If you are a tongue-talking believer, please keep on at it; it ia an invaluable tool to lead a successful Christain life.

It is useless trying to convince known atheists. Let them read the accounts of the final moments on earth of atheists like Francois Voltaire or Hobbes, and let's see if they will learn anything from that.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Any Jobs For Doctors In The Nigerian Oil Industry? by enolase(m): 5:14pm On May 05, 2006
My brother,

As a professional colleague and fellow Nairaland member, I will advise you to forget it.

To get such jobs (usually rig jobs), you have to have an insider as a friend. These positions are not advertised for.

my advice? Try and go abroad. Get an MPH from a leading university and go for the WHO or World Bank.

I agree. But u gave the wrong reason. Ali Baba had been married to a foreigner, I think a Jamaican.

In essence, this is a remarriage, which in the eyes of God (who HIMSELF SAYS "I Hate Divorce" in one of the scriptures) is wrong.
Romance / Re: What Is It With Port-Harcourt Women And Money! Is It Normal? by enolase(m): 1:29pm On Apr 27, 2006
Ilove the first post from Rotweiller.

I have lived in PH for 20 years, and got married in PH.

There are lots of decent girls in PH. If you look for a rough babe, u will get exactly what u got.

I think Kajad should start looking in the right places.
Religion / Re: A Prayer For A Financial Blessing by enolase(m): 4:43pm On Apr 24, 2006
hmmmm. shocked

As far as I know, financial blessing does not respond to prayer.

It responds to the following:

Giving
Tithing
Offering
Sacrificial giving to the church, to the poor and needy.
Paying the firstfruits of your labour.

Hello.

I live in PH, and I have used the cybercafe located at the office address of NairaEx. In fact, the cafe is located in the same business premises.

These guys are for real.

And I hope Nigerians can for once support one of their own instead of dishing out baseless and outrightly ridiculous criticisms.

Religion / Re: Why Do Churches Pay Salaries To Musicians? by enolase(m): 4:03pm On Apr 12, 2006
I am one of four keyboardists in my church, and we are not on a salary. But that's because our church is lucky to have us all around.

There are churches that have instruments and no one to play them. In such cases, the church is free to engage the services of instrumentalists as they wish, but should make sure that such are actually christians, so as not to offer what the bible calls a "strange incense" unto God.

Conclusion? Nothing wrong with paying musicians (how much is the money sef?) but the church has to work on their salvation as well.

A true Christian musician on a salary will not just come to church because of the money he is getting, but will come to play in church because of God.

Business / Re: How Can I Get My Own Credit Card In Nigeria by enolase(m): 11:46am On Mar 28, 2006
To make an online payment, you can use a virtual credit card.

This is the only card that you can use without having to submit all those rigorous requirements.

If you are interested in getting one, you can contact info@epaypanel.com and make your inquiry.

Cheers

Investment / Re: Zenith Bank Shares Offer: Opportunity Or Hype? by enolase(m): 1:52pm On Mar 22, 2006
Brokerage fees are 3.75% of the total for most firms, which is minimal.

Let us watch the share price by December and we will know who is right.

I once challenged a broker on Flour Mills, which was 14.00 at the time. She laughed and told me to face my profession as I knew nothing about shares (so she thought).

One and a half years later and the share is now 28.00.

So who is right after all?
Computers / Re: Virtual Card Payment On The Rise by enolase(m): 4:54pm On Mar 19, 2006
It depends on the source of your cards, and how u have tried to load them.

I suggest u use disposable VISA cards. That way u save yourself the trouble of reloads.
Webmasters / Re: Check Out My Latest Website by enolase(m): 4:50pm On Mar 19, 2006

Farriel's comments about the images and stuff were okay.

But something like "a rookie's attempts at a creating a masterstroke with his first stroke". Not sure what he was trying to say there. Sounded rude!

farriel,

I am not sure u went through the site content.

Yes, u may be right about the image. We will work to change that.

As for what u call Web editing gone awry, I am not so sure. I personally worked on the site code for a week to get it to what it is.

I checked your site. Broken images galore! shocked I think u should work on that too wink
Religion / Re: Is HIV/AIDS A Punishment From God? by enolase(m): 9:01am On Mar 16, 2006
A punishment from God?

Then what about Arthur Ashe, the only black tennis player (we used to see on Sesame Street) to win Wimbledon, who got it through a blood transfusion? Also actor Lynden David Hall (the monster in the Predator films)

What about the numerous haemophiliacs who got it through blood transfusions?

Or the numerous girls who are raped by HIV positive men and get infected as a result?

Or the unfortunate babies born to seropositive mums?

Come off it! The disease is not a punishment from God.
Webmasters / Re: Are Nigerian Businesses Willing To Pay For Website Development? by enolase(m): 8:49am On Mar 16, 2006
Many businesses still do not see why they need websites. That is our experience here.

Those of u in the South West are miles ahead in the area of ICT and I commend u for that. I wish the rest of Nigeria can catch up.
Investment / Re: Zenith Bank Shares Offer: Opportunity Or Hype? by enolase(m): 5:44pm On Mar 15, 2006
Oportunity or hype?

Look at this.

IPO was =N=10.90.

One week after it opened on the floor of NSE, it hit =N=20.00

Implication: If you bought shares worth =N=109,000, it climbed to =N=200,000 in the first week.

A speculator (short term trader) would have made close to =N=100,000 without sweat!

It currently stands at =N=16 plus.

Anyone who sells now will make at least =N=5.00 per share bought then.

If you decide to invest long term, bonus shares and increase in share price that is bound to occur over the years due to the bank's excellent performance and profitability will mean that your share value will increase by the power of compound interest over the years.

THIS IS NO HYPE! BUY THOSE SHARES NOW!!!
Business / Re: Online Businesses In Nigeria by enolase(m): 5:26pm On Mar 15, 2006
Rasque,

Read the reply I sent to yemupz on "Seeking to make a living online".

Also check your email address for a mail I have written to you on this matter.

To start an online business, you need to be guided on what is on and what isn't.

Some online businesses that do well in the US do not here in Nigeria because of some of our peculiarities.

So read the email or the posted reply

I have a website, http://www.jigventures.biz
(currently undergoing reconstruction) that was
launched in 2004.

I have an Internet club called the JIG Ventures
Affiliate Club (J-VAC).

Members of this online club register with the sum of
=N=900 and pay a monthly subscription of =N=750. They
are then exposed to use all my materials that I
normally sell, FREE.

They are also exposed to the latest money-making
online ventures, and are given expert consultancy and
advice (also FREE) by me and my team of resource
persons, on how to go about them.

There are so many online businesses that can give you
Naira and Dollars on a steady basis. And this is all
legitimate too (not the Yahoo-Yahoo nonsense).

Here are some Internet businesses that work here in Nigeria

1) Reseller web hosting (I can actually show you how you can become one without paying a dime in registration)
2) Online payments (such as I run on www.epaypanel.com)
3) Saler of Information products: Info products are the hottest selling item on the Internet, and I cannot tell you how much I have made from this.
4) Setting up a subscription site (e.g dating websites, etc)
5) Promoting affiliate programmes
6) E-training seminars

There are many others, including dollar-paying businesses I will not mention here.

I will urge you to register in this club, and get the best headstart you can ever get.

SInce I am a forum member, you are sure you are in safe hands.
