Some people be drawing perfect shapes on their faces but cannot draw a simple plan for the whole of their lives. Fun fact: John Tyler, 10th President of the United States had a son when he was 63. The son later fathered two sons when he was 71 and 75, those two sons are still alive. This means that a man who was president in 1841, has two living grandchildren |
That's how it is everywhere. Same for pepper and crayfish and plantain. Though the quantity of pepper and crayfish is now better even that of tomatoes too. Last 2 -3 weeks it was 4 or 5 pieces for N200 |
It was a prank and they both played it well. Riri looks cool |
There are neutrals. They just dont comment all the time and do not have the time and energy for e-fights |
*yawns* Is this the only lie that could be churned out? Come on! Get to work and churn out better lies |
You are welcome. The thing is even if you get a job, you would have to save a while before moving out. If the gas hasnt been refilled, how have you been eating? What of your parents? ToroJah: |
Ity, it is sad what you are going through and even if it is allowed you feel sad for a while, you shouldn't fall into depression. The 5 year or so gap between you and your elder bro is not an excuse for him not to grant you audience...it's just that yours is not a close knit family. Is your brother working? Because he at least cannot eat all days of the month outside for the past two months. Who pays the light bill? Who gets water that is if water isn't running inside your apartment? What kind of job were you doing? Is it those kind you can go to the Post Office for? If it is, why not go there and check out vacancies, just so you get out of the house. I think some of the radio stations read out vacancies too...I really do not know which stations and the time they do but I know it is in the mornings; ask people. Do you not have friends either from church or wherever? They should be your go-to at this point. As for the gas, tell your brother it needs refilling and that there aren't some foodstuffs after he might have brushed in the morning. Hear what he'll say first. Kpe ayen ndoko! |
Edikaikong dey expensive for obodo oyibo? Eeya...definitely not in Akwa Ibom or Calabar, it would be like the 3rd or 4th expensive soup. |
I hope to heavens that it's the camera light that is responsible for her complexion |
Later, if the morgues refuse the corpses of students or other accident victims; we would say uncomplimentary stuffs about them. If 20k was too much; you negotiate for a reduction in a diplomatic manner. Hooliganism should not be encouraged. Something must be done about tankers and trucks though. RIP to the students and other victims. |
You got kissed and didn't do the kissing ![]() You know the most times some pastors get a crowd are during weddings and burials, so they gotta preach the gospel ![]() |
gsalvatore:In the end, it remains our individual opinion. I would have loved a full senate chamber when he contested but that's just me and we are but different people. |
Very few people can take criticism/reviews of their works in Nigeria because most of the time the fans or even the owner of the work label you a hater or make a reference to their bank account as if money should surpass quality or passion. I didn't enjoy the movie but I will also rank it amongst most of the 2014 hollywood movies. 2014 movies must have brought tears to the gods of hollywoodian movies. Movie makers know that they must create a fantastic trailer and especially if the movie is up for awards, hype (market) it beyond measure; same gimmick AY used, so don't blame him much. |
You only disagreed with the last line, your post agrees with mine on Saraki's POV, it just has more words gsalvatore: |
When trying to resolve crisis; one has to look at it from the different POVs and also use less emotions/sentiments. Saraki's POV: He knows he wasn't his party's choice. He also knows that the positions for principal officers are not to be trifled with, why put people who you'll constantly have to watch your back for? So, it's best his own men take these positions than strong party loyalists not loyal to him, that way he can sleep better at night. Saraki has backed himself to the wall, he is either going to hack his way through or fight till he is hacked down. I understand his POV but he showed his hand too early. APC's POV: They are aggrieved at the way Saraki tricked and used dirty moves to gain power. They are not willing to admit they made a mistake and instead of calming down are huffing and puffing. I understand them too because not huffing and puffing will open a portal to potential 'stubborn' party members. Who wants to have to deal with strong-headed party members when there is so much to be achieved with the newly acquired party? Other party members are keenly watching; an inaction could lead to more members decamping to Saraki's camp. Buhari's POV: He is keenly aware of his 'dictator' title and wishes to thread softly. He also wants to adhere to a true separate arms of government but the truth is theory can never equate practice. I do not want him to dabble heavily but use your lobbyists effectively. What to do? There are too many leaders in APC because of 3 + 1/2 major political parties that merged plus different strong individuals who didn't come under a party each are lords in their own right. The first mistake was in not getting each regional lords to coerce or persuade the individual lords to achieve a common ground. The second was not having a plan B at the first sign of trouble and instead still forging on relentlessly on the initial plan A. The nation cannot grind to a halt because of an internal party fracas. The party must consider changing its course. Should the deviants be punished? Yes, same way I wanted Amaechi and Tambubawal punished then but the party must change its aggressive course and seek another means to punish and still maintain its members. I propose that an advert be put forth on its unity still being intact and that Nigeria is uppermost in its mind regardless of its internal fiasco. They must take the blame for the fiasco, go into a meeting with the NASS leaders, iron out their issues and after a while, strike. The rest will fall in line. OR Allow saraki and dogara run their course and take that they can do almost nothing to change them, this is what PDP did. |
I think their spirits got switched at birth...wrong to call denrele a 'were' though |

The Other Side The shivers started just as soon as he got out of the water. His teeth chattered a bit uncontrollably. He knew he shouldn’t have stayed in the water that long but she had insisted and even though he had enjoyed every bit of their time in the water; he was paying for it now. Stumbling to where their clothes were, he picked up a towel and rubbed his head quite vigourously before quickly cleaning off the rest of himself. He picked up his shirt and quickly put it on as warmth returned. Turning, he could still see her in the water splashing around; feeling his gaze on her, she turned and waved. They really needed to get going, it was nearly 4pm and they had been here since noon. “Babe, come out of the water. We need to get going!” He yelled out, arms folded as if to ward off cold. “Why? This is so fun.” The lady in the water replied, turning around to lazily stroke the water. “Well, I am cold,” he looked round noting how deserted everywhere looked. “Everyone has gone back and it’s nearly evening.” “You don’t know how I have longed to swim in a village river. You really were lucky as a child.” “It’s nearly four, my mother expected us back two hours ago. This is just our first day and you have a week to swim as you like, so please come out.” “Okay dear give me five minutes. If you are cold then you shouldn’t be standing there with your shirt and just a swimming trunk, go and put on your jeans.” Sighing, the man turned and walked to where their clothes were. He picked his jeans and put them on; perhaps he was being too hard on her. She had been so excited when he told her his village had a clear stream for swimming. ** John was being a spoilsport, Rita thought as she watched him put on his jeans. They had nothing to do when they got back to the village house except eat and sleep in separate rooms under the stern eyes of his parents especially the mother who watched her barely hiding her dislike. She didn’t approve of a city girl especially one who didn’t know her roots. “How well do you know her?” She had heard John’s mother ask him the night before. John had laughed in reply. “I am asking because this world is a strange place; you have to know a person’s root before befriending them much less marry them” “Maaaama! She is an orphan now” “Exactly my point, an orphan with no relatives?” “Rita is a nice woman, fun and friendly, intelligent and respectful” “Most women are nice too. My point is try and know more about her roots.” “Okay mama, can I go to bed now?” ** She was starting to feel cold and she had swum so far out. Time to get back but not before she tried to see how long she could hold her breath under water. She hadn’t counted to thirty when she came up for air. Gasping, she swam ashore. John was nowhere in sight, where had he gone? Her clothes were not where she had left them. “Babe, John!” She called out. Getting no reply, she looked around confused. Had she missed the spot where they had been? She couldn’t go back to the house with just her bra and shorts. ** After putting on his jeans, he saw a scorpion trying to get into her clothes. Killing the scorpion, he picked up her clothes plus the towel and wrapper they had brought; and checked them for any insects. Satisfied at finding none, he draped the clothes over his arm; they hadn’t even eaten the lunch his mother had packed for them. They really needed to get going, he would be stern this time. First, he needed to take a piss but he couldn’t leave her clothes on the sand. He had better take the clothes with him. ** “John!” Was he playing with her? She was sorry for staying long in the water but this wasn’t fair either. Hearing laughter, she turned and saw a group of six young women walking leisurely towards the shore. They were chatting and didn’t notice her at first. “Good evening,” she called out. The chatter stopped and the women turned, looking at her curiously. Feeling self-conscious, she tried to cover her bosoms as well as she could with her hands. John was taking this too far. “What are you doing here?” One of the women asked. “I am looking for John,” she replied with the hope that one of them had seen him. “We don’t know of any John,” the woman replied again. “Mma Obiagelli’s son, that John,” John’s mother was popular or so she had been told. “Oh? Who are you to this John?” Another woman asked. What kind of a question was that? What had that got to do with finding John? “Ma, please I am his friend and my clothes are with him.” “Your John is on the other side,” the second woman replied pointing. “Thank you ma, I came to the wrong side then,” she made to move back to the water. “No, you can’t get to him that way.” Now, they were really annoying women but seeing as she was a stranger, she couldn’t as well show her annoyance. They didn’t even offer her a wrapper to ward off the cold. “Please, what way can I use?” The women didn’t reply and looked at themselves in confusion. Then one of them walked up to her, “You cannot use any way, nwanyi oma but you can come with us.” “Why would I want to come with you? I thought the village was a nice place where everyone helped each other out? None of you even bothered to offer me a wrapper to cover myself and then to point out a route seeing that it is getting late is another difficult task. Since, you probably won’t help me; I would have to use the water.” “You cannot use the water because you are dead” “What! God forbid! That’s a lie! I cannot die, I am too young! Who dies in a stream?” She tried to run to the stream but the women held her back. Their grips were so strong, making her struggles pointless. Finally, out of breath and weak; she turned and saw John coming but he wasn’t alone. He was stumbling and wailing, dragging someone with him. He was dragging her lifeless body. The End |

El-Rufai is just firing from all cylinders, it seems he has long been ready for this post. I like the announcement |
mojounited:The yorubas rarely use crayfish and or stockfish; periwinkles ke? Don't go there. Well, I don't know about loosing fat through tomato paste, I think it has to do with how 'beautiful' the egusi would look after it is done. And most yorubas like sweet food, the tomatoes will make for a sweet egusi |

Goathead in akwaibom is from 700 upwards depending on the size and season that's because we don't play with goathead here. Tomatoes in egusi, I have heard of that way of cooking egusi but I want to know if it is something that evolved into a practice by awon eko. Funny enough, I am cooking bitterleaf soup today but with goat leg...mine is washed very well. If I cook with out washing vigourously; my brothers won't eat. Your soup looks good, I no see crayfish for your list abi na because of tomatoes you skip am? I know say pepper no dey market but 200 naira pepper is too much. |
Nmeri17:Implementation ke? We are gradually coming to the end of June; ette ami, do you think anyone who budgets will have any 'un-implemented' category left? |
