The good wife - season 1(okay); season 2(interesting and annoying-the court room politics and corporate back stabbing is very intruging but the lead's character is getting annoying...in my opinion she is no more the good wife) will watch season 3 soon |
Eba and egg stew...it was popsie's idea many years back and was done after we all agreed not to let momsie know... |
Of course; you could never have collected a bribe...it was money all along...money kept for more than a month...How silly we were for thinking it was a bribe... |

Hmm...what a script? Not even one of the aides got injured or even one of the hooligans; what were they all shooting at, the sky? I used to like Oshiomole, I just don't like what politics has done to the man |
Very interesting read...aah! Nokia! When I told one of my friends how I was dying to get an E6, he scoffed at the idea asking what was in a Nokia much less an E6. After 'laughing' in my language, I told him "you would never understand not in a million years not because I consider you dumb but I can only understand your point of view if you have used an E63 - one of the lesser E series." I don't think the love can be understood sha...we are talking business mixed with pleasure...we are talking Nokia! |
Well, methinks you should have stood your ground in not allowing the banker take the 10 percent, since you claimed it was meant for an urgent assignment... I was told the same by First Bank, this one was for Western Union. The lady at the counter told me I needed to have an account with the bank OR get someone that had an account with the bank to sign a guarantor form. I was a bit angry because I had so much to do that day and when I asked if that meant I had to go and drag someone from his/her office that I knew had an account, she told me I could talk to anyone that had an account in the banking hall and maybe I would find someone willing to help. In the end an Abubakar helped me out by filling a guarantor's form. |
onatisi: something is obvious on nl there are two sets of ppl .those that hate gej with passion and they will always condem him even if he turns nigeria into paradise tomorrow.the second set are those that always support him to the core even when he is stupidily annoyingAnd then there are a tiny few who are quite objective...criticizing issues objectively. It's appalling and chilling the level we have degenerated to in name calling and that which we all seem to close our eyes to...leave his accent and criticize what he has said not from hear-say or 'giving a dog a bad name and hanging it' but from what he has said tonight and what we know from 'verified' sources...we are all enlightened, not so? And for those calling him retardeen, ode, mugu and what's not; perhaps I was raised better but I know a wise man cannot be led by a fool, for what does that then say of the 'wise man' who has let a fool lead him? |
An act of God? So God wanted 'Hon' Farouk to take bribe, get caught and then be vindicated later? How great is God indeed |
Okay...we have heard...I suppose this is where we are supposed to shout 'hurray!' ![]() |
@chaircover: been to your site...quite a cool site...I must really commend you...well done. |
@OP: Lol...sometimes they can be quite annoying and loving but I think when you come to the realisation that she is growing to be her own person, independent from you...you'll probably understand her own point of view (I am speaking from experience)...How many times do we give our parents excuses too...after all they might have done for us? |

Jay-Z's wife Beyoncé Knowles spent £25million buying him a luxury aeroplane for Father's Day. Share1 0 Jay-Z's wife Beyoncé Knowles spent £25million buying him a luxury aeroplane for Father's Day. Jay-Z's wife Beyoncé Knowles spent £25million buying him a luxury aeroplane. The singer's Father's Day gift to her husband is capable of taking 15 passengers and includes several features you would find in a house. A source told The Daily Star: ''Beyoncé thought this would be the perfect way to show Jay how much of a great dad he is. ''The Bombardier Challenger 850 has a flash interior including a cream leather living room, a kitchen, a bedroom and two bathrooms. Beyoncé bought a larger plane which can seat up to 15 people so that they could take trips with their extended family.'' Beyoncé, 30, gave birth to the couple's first child, a daughter called Blue Ivy Carter, in January this year. She recently revealed the inspiration for her and Jay-Z's baby's name came from a poem written by Rebecca Solnit. This extravagant present is not the first time she has spent a large amount on her husband. A few months ago she gave the 42-year-old hip-hop mogul a £300,000 blue sapphire ring for being supportive all throughout her pregnancy. news.ph.msn.com/entertainment |
@rich_john:but fear no suppose catch fear na...you should have asked your missionary parents then or you could still ask now for clarification |
@Image123: Kai! As funny as your version is, I think I prefer @eddy1997's answer of Daniel probably out of the country on a diplomatic trip. Reason being that you cannot simply be amongst the king's princes and councillors and stand amongst the crowd, all of the king's men would probably have stood in front...either of their ward or their 'constituency'...leadership by example |
eddy1977: Daniel was probably on a diplomatic trip. remember he was handpicked by the king because of his royal parentage and political skills.Hmm...but the decree should have affected all the kingdoms of Nebuchadnezzar instead of just the capital... Your depiction/comparism of the situation gives me food for thought though...even if you didn't answer the 2nd and most importantly the 3rd question... |
rich_john: my dear those questions have been in my mind since I was 6 years oldYou were asking where Daniel was since 6 seriously? You had finished reading the book of Bible story and was pondering on Daniel? Hehehehehehe |
Too beautiful for words especially the little ones! Smiles that are never to be seen again, words that are never to be spoken...what a waste! RIP and my prayer goes to the bereaved |
@buzugee: double lol! If that is the case Adam takes the cake because his answer to God's question was totally out of point. I asked about Nebuchadnezzar because he ate grass..anyways that is not the main question: where was daniel? Surely if he was in the king's court, it should have been noticed that he didn't bow too. And why did he say 'PERES' instead of 'UPHARSIN' a totally different word? |
@Logic Mind: lol! I am seeking answers and not out for a debate...but very funny though |
I was reading the book of Daniel and I saw that when Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were cast into the furnace for not bowing down to the golden image, Daniel or rather Belteshazzar was not with them. My question is: was he not in the city or if he was, did he bow with the others? Another question: Is Nebuchadnezzar, the first mad man in the bible? And finally, the handwriting on the wall during the reign of King Belshazzar read MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN, why then did Daniel interprete MENE MENE TEKEL 'PERES'? I would be grateful if I have the inputs from the regulars... |
Mine means gift...so no need to change but there are a number of people I have heard of that changed their names and rightly so. Our forebears in Akwa Ibom actually gave some silly names to their children, names were given according to the circumstances surrounding the child when he/she was born...so people had names like 'burden' 'mother of witches' etc. These people eventually had their names changed. |
Are you sure this isn't a movie set? Perhaps it's not in naija because I trust Nigerian Pastors...you would be so disgraced...! |
British woman in Bali drugs arrestPress Association - Mon, 28th May 2012 07:30 AMA British woman has been arrested for allegedly smuggling cocaine worth £1.6 million into the tropical island of Bali.Lindsay Sandiford covered her face as she was brought out to face the media at a press conference in Kuta, a holiday town on the Indonesian island. The 56-year-old was pictured sat at a table surrounded by packages wrapped up in brown tape as a customs official cut them open with a knife.Wearing an orange inmate's T-shirt, she was also photographed flanked by armed officers wearing black masks.Sandiford was stopped with the 4.7kg haul in a suitcase as she arrived in Bali on a flight from Bangkok in Thailand on May 19, according to Indonesian customs official Made Wijaya.Three other Britons and an Indian national were believed to be the intended recipients and are being questioned.Indonesia has extremely strict drug laws and convicted smugglers are executed. More than 140 people are on death row, a third of them foreigners. poor her, she couldn't risk uncovering her face.. |
Was just two days before visiting day, so I lent pad from my friends till mumsie came on visiting day and when she did...I just blurted out that I needed money for pad because I had started seeing my period...it was no biggie, smiled when I first saw it though (for reasons I can't explain) and for the sex education...read too much and still do, so I already had that talk with mumsie especially since I asked both my parents what 's-e-x-ual intercourse'was...just wanted to tickle them...so at 10, I had already had the 'talk' even knew about AIDS long before my period came years later... |
@OP: what would be your advice, if your sister-in-law came to you with this same problem? Would you advise her to try other men? Or if you do an in-depth analysis and it is found that your 'soldiers' cannot really march, will you give your wife a divorce or allow her to sleep with other men? You say no one knows how it pinches, some might and some might not but the truth still remains, you are in the wrong for your thoughts... I find that we christains are the most judgemental beings, so because she was not a virgin, irrespective of what the doctor says she is at fault? She who would have looked at her fellow women with children and wonder why are breasts are still without milk to feed a babe, she who would have felt more scorn from friends and your family and even resentment from you, should have more troubles heaped on her because she is a woman right? I don't understand today's couple...I would have thought trouble and trials will bring more unity? I would have thought your mutual shame should give you a love exclusive of others? I knew three women in the days of my I.T without children then, two had abortions with their hubby's consent(I think they were not ready yet for children), one got pregnant immediately she tied the knot with her hubby; the other went through stress from the hubby's family...but after standing her ground and holding her head high, she had a child during my youth service; the third woman, a virgin, got married in 2002 after four years of courtship...in this courtship, she usually visited her hubby to be with a chaperon and only a peck on the cheek was allowed...the couple has no children till today... |
And where is the 'police brother that is attached to Radio House' of John Akpabu...Is it possible for someone in the force to tell a civilian to bring grenades for him all the way from Nassarawa...ammunitions and grenades...is there a storage facility in Nassarawa where 'the police brother attached to the Radio House' stocks these ammunitions? Since it is now 'obvious' that the force give their men ammunition in bulk to take home and store so that these men can in turn send their brothers/relatives to bring it to them anywhere they are in the country and anytime they want...NEXT! |
msb247: lol. bt seriously, is dat ur pic? What is a photoshop addict? Why would I put up someone else's pic? |
I swear, the last paragraph is simply classic! |
