And if this 'smallie' grows big later? ![]() |
All these PDP apologists, hope your opinion about PDP remains the same by the time another "fulani-bokoharam-aboki-islamist-northerner" becomes the president from PDP. bashy_demy:I am not a PDP apologist, the fact that I am not praising Fashola doesn't mean I am. All I asked was, If he was a PDP governor, would you rush to defend him, leaving sentiments aside? Let's say Dosumu per chance won the last election, would your response be the same? Constructive criticisms are not meant to downplay anyone but whosoever gets defensive over a constructive criticism is not seeing beyond his nose. |
I am just curious to know if the responses so far would have been different if Fashola was a PDP governor. |
Forget what everyone else is saying, let your friend decide what is best for him in the long run. At least the potential father-in-law never said the girl's church but any pentecoastal church. Yes, everyone can say it doesn't matter, but when your kids come in, it does. In Nigeria, for example, we are used to celebrating for every little thing, whose church will the baby's dedication be in? Whose church will the kids attend? If the your friend wants a close family knit, he won't get it with everyone going to different units. In the end, it's his decision. Nothing is too small to be done for love. You, get to decide the route to your happiness.iness. |
I would love a copy too. enoquin24@gmail.com Thanks |
^^^^^^^^^^ I meant last month ![]() |
I heard this since the beginning of this month from a UBA staff and when I told her that it could lead to a mass withdrawal, she shrugged indifferently and said it won't matter to the bank and that it would actually be a big relief. I asked another staff of Fidelity, who denied that the bank was going to increase its minimum balance for regular savings and current accounts. |

You guys should just read the link before dropping comments, jeez! I think this is where the phrase 'A Mother's Love' would suffice. |
As much as his book will be fun to read. it will still be from a biased point of view because he'll never write anything that would taint Yar'adua's image. I used to enjoy reading Segun's column same with usoro usoro now working for the Akwa Ibom State government. Yes, I understand that you cannot speak against your boss publicly but the rate of disdain from these editors and columnists when they work for a private paper changes once they walk on the corridors of power. They forget that they were once critics and get hypnotized by the allure of power. As someone has rightly said, if he truly wants to open up, he should tell us what happened during those days Yar'adua was ill and his mysterious return. Dora, at least had the guts to speak out-with all her faults- even if she was later mocked by some northern senators. Segun was a big disappointment and shouldn't make matters worse by saying he couldn't have done anything then. ![]() |
@baby.me I didn't know that there are akob usem ebod? amani isong ebod nko? |
From what you heard? I thought you are an official 'P.R.O' so why speak like an outsider? |
I initially thought 'The Chamber' was cruel, not until I read 'The Partner'. I have read 15 or 16 of John Grisham's and I don't know why I keep picking up his novels. Another annoying one was one whose name I can't really recall, the guy won against a big corporation only for the corp to file an appeal, this meant that his victory was short-lived(paper victory) since the young lawyer didn't even have the funds to start the first trial in the first place, so an appeal would totally overwhelming. The one you just mentioned was even more annoying. I think I read it late last year. I read it together with one other annoying James Patterson novel, so imagine how miserable I was that whole week. When the young Judge's son had that accident, I thought that finally he must know the anguish that the plaintiffs were going through. I think an author has the right to add twists to his novel as he/she see fit but this was particularly cruel. I guess this dashes our fairy tale hopes of good people getting their reward in the end, |
The constitution states that a candidate must win 1/4 votes in 24 or 25 states including the FCT. This would amount to a 2/3rd majority. So seeing the results as have been announced, that shouldn't be difficult for you to answer your own question. |
I can't believe they stated all these as their reasons. CPC is not really known in the south south and south east. My sister who was one of the ad-hoc staff in Eket, Akwa Ibom stated that when the very old and 'illiterate' old women came out, they asked that they be shown the umbrella logo on the ballot paper probably because of their bad eyesight even though the ACN party officials prevented anyone from doing so on the fact that it would be cheating. She also said that the ACN official in their polling unit said he wold vote for the PDP only for the presidential election. My question is this: Why didn't the party officials of the CPC that observed this wrong doing cry foul and immediately call the hotlines? Why did they attest their signature to a document that they felt was fraudulent. When a correspondent of Radio Nigeria asked the CPC chairman this question, he said that the signatories on all the documents from the affected states were forged and were not from their officials, Immediately I heard this, I stopped listening because there wasn't any point in trying to give myself a headache over laughable allegations. Just like the north voted in Buhari, the rest of the country voted in Jonathan. I am a fan of neither but I'd say that Buhari should leave while the ovation for him is still high, |
I agree with the poster. You would have gone through a lot just to have written a novel only to wake to the reality of the 'unfriendly' publishing terrain. Those that have the money go on to publish with major errors and no apologies from the publishers. No one is thinking of the 'unemployed' or 'broke' writer. Even most prize giving awards only consider those whose works have been published. The road is indeed long. |
'Most' Lawyers are known to be corrupt, so that's no news. who else help sets up those companies that acts as fronts or set up offshore accounts for money laundering. So Obong Victor Attah follow destroy Vmobile? I thought it is being peddled about that the man was a complete saint, |
Castigating only the babe is funny. What happened to not judging until one hears both sides. For example, how long they've been dating. Cause the way i see it, if they've been at it long, it must be the girl who has been supporting the both of them. Abuja is an expensive place to live not to talk of transportation, feeding and meeting another spouse's needs. The girl thought about it and a number of things could havee influenced her decision like her background. She may not want to repeat the same cycle of poverty(not that am saying that the guy is poverty bound) As someone rightly said, baby's food and pampers is not cheap not to talk of other things. The girl's fault lies in not advising her man to have gone for a professional course or something(that is if they have been dating for long), if she knew that he was the one she was going too settle down with. Again if the man is 33/35, it means she is definitely not 18 and may be getting some pressures from family. BTW tell me how a grown man still supports himself on one stream of income. |
Well Daniel sometime last year made it known that he had a black book that was filled with people who had offended the state, 'him', so i guess he didn't realize that he was in someone else's black book too |
I am interested. My email is enoquin24@gmail.com Although it would have helped if you clarify on the partnership thingy. Is it equal or you have more rights? |
yes i have read chief, the honourable minister. Though it was quite long ago like say 10 or 13 years. Can't really remember. |
dominique:i agree with you dominique, it would have been better if he had said send your writing for free. I write for a magazine that pays me even if it's relatively a new magazine. The magazine couldn't pay most columnists in its first edition but it didn't charge anyone for their articles. Articles were picked on merit: |
sent you a mail. asking you pertinent questions. it's enoquin24@gmail.com. |
As Chris Rock said, there's no happiness anywhere, It's either you are married and bored or you are single and lonely, Either way don't delude yourself that there's happiness in the other camp, |
