Pls mamas that went on missionary journey as per the other thread how did u people go about ur babies immunization. I came back as soon as my baby clock 6wks and they gave him BCG and oral vaccine he is booked for penta next week. Hope I'm in line? Pls any advice on anything else to do?

yeah, i had it for a while on my left arm....but nothing i used seemed to clear it.
My mum told me not to bug my head that it would eventually go by itself (she said its the arm that baby's head rests on a lot), and it did.

Ever since I gave birth I have been having red itchy rashes on my hands I always try hard not to scratch it.I have use a lot of anti bacteria cream but nothing,it have even change the color of my hands.some women say its caused by baby hair that if I stop breast feeding it will go,how true is that cause am always itchy. Help

There is this Mothercare carrier I bought, it has a detachable neck support for newborns.

Baby is fine, 4 months and doing great.

The lansinoh is very nice for me, but considering that i havent used any other brand, I cant compare to any other one.

I use lansinoh double electric, i got it for 39k in december.
Its very fine for me...

As for sagging, me i no put dt one for mind, d most important thing na make my pikin suck well.

Abeg,am now officially tired of using manual breast pump... somebody will be tired and I will be sitting pumping for like one and half hours. I used lasinoch and it was working well for me but later I realized that it's not easy pressing with hands.

Please any suggestion on electric breast pump. And hope it doesn't make breast sag #whodathelp. Cc: AlphaHand..Maiden, za..ynie, enque,jaz..zjazz and all other sabi mama.

Enque you can use the Lumerax. Though there caution for breastfeeding mum that's because a little gets into d breastmilk but no cause for alarm.

How much does it cost roughly to have a baby in general/ private hospitals?

I used private under a HMO but d bill was abt 270k ( I had a CS). I peeped d total bill while I was signing cos I wanted t know wat they charged d HMO

Is it all hospitals that will give me a list of things to bring in preparation for labour?
What are the items on the list?

Most hospitals will give u a list...cos I dunno of any hospital DT dsnt gv a list. The list varies wt each hospital. Send me a pm n I'll share my list wt u so u hv an idea of wat it looks like.


Can't think of anything else to ask but please let me know what else I need to consider.

For me proximity of hospital is very important incase of incasity

So I have been having some sorta stomach upset since yesterday evening, and I decided to carry myself to hospital this morning. The Dr sent me for a test and I ended up being diagnosed with Malaria.

The issue now is that he gave me an antimalaria drug called LUMERAX (artemether & Lumefantrine), and I just want to be sure that's its ok for me cos I'm still breastfeeding.

I had a CS, so my mum stayed for 7weeks from day of delivery...

she cooked, took care of baby (washed her clothes, bathing her etc), did market runs and took care of me while i recovered

After 6weeks, the 7th week was for rehearsals on how to take care of baby....so that she was sure she was leaving her grand-daughter in capable hands, and we are doing great!

Its normal.i bleed for 9days sef d first af.heavy ones like dis.my mum said is because i refused to take uda wen she was giving me.now everytin is coming down.dunno if na oldwives tale.
But dont worry by sceond month everything will normalise

Yes first period after delivery is usually heavy and may have clots. It will normalise soon.
