I've decided i wont comment on this trend until am 20 weeks gone but this response really couldn't hold me back.
I typed, i deleted and later type again just for u to know how much your response mean to me.
I was lucky i got pregnant just after my wedding but due to one defect, i was advised to terminate the pregnancy which i did at 20 weeks(I wish I did scan at around 13weeks maybe it would have been noticed and would have terminated it earlier). I am grateful i only waited a month to have an LMP date i could point to and got pregnant again just after the termination.
Though i didnt experience MS in both pregnancy (except for headache) but the trauma i went through before, during and after termination, the pain that came along when i was induced & gave birth to the little boy could never in anyway stop me from getting pregnant again.
What actually inspired my comment is that someone just mistakenly called me now and congratulated me for my new born. I thought it was one of my friend that knew i was pregnant before but who i didnt tell that it has been terminate that called knowing i should give birth this month but when i asked who was calling, i got to know it was a wrong number and i started crying and it just that time i read Iyomomoreloaded response.
In short, to me, no matter the pain i go through which in many cases is inevitable, nothing can by any means make me wish myself to not get pregnant. I would rather pray for the strength to carry through.

On a lighter note, I hope to continue to comment on this trend now since the chain has been broken now

First off....take a deep breath, ur doing great.

I choose to look at it this way - If I had known everything about pregnancy and motherhood (I mean every single detail and symptom both good n bad)...I just may not have even gotten married sef....

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean this in a negative way o but its just me being real
But despite it all, I'm still thankful to God for every minute and experience cos I too now have a story to tell my DD when she is of age

P.s - have u tried taking fenugreek? It helps in boosting milk supply. Tried it a while bk n there was an improvement.

The problem with having a carpenter do the cot is some of them are not sharp at all, they won't just get it right, will just go for playpen, some babies don't even like to sleep in a cot,at lest the playpen will serve another purpose.

My dear pregnancy is a blessing, so don't be tired o!

for heartburn - eat smaller portions of food instead of large portions.
sip water gradually while eating,
try and takr note of the foods that aggravate the heartburn (for me it was beans and spicy foods) and eat then in moderation
Dinner shld be 2 or 3 hrs b4 bedtime so proper digestion can take place
My Dr recommended gestid, altho I took it just 1ce or 2ice but it did make a difference d few times I took it...

PLS DO NOT SELF MEDICATE O! LET UR DR APPROVE ANY DRUG U DECIDE TO TAKE.

please mama how did you cope with tiredness and heartburn , I am just 23weeks and lo has been in cephalic position since 19weeks

Paracetamol is very safe, cos dts wat I was given at the hospital anytime I complained about pains.

I think panadol is a NO NO!!

But u can also try dabbing ur forehead wt a towel immersed in cold water, or pouring water on ur head to relieve the headache. that's what I did whenever I didn't feel like taking paracetamol.

Good evening mamas in the house, am a ftm my 2weeks old baby breath fast why sleeping sometimes, apart from the fast breathing every other thing is ok because he sleeps very well and also feed well. I took him to the hospital yesterday and doctor said I should give him these drugs nospamin, ampiclox, multivitamin, paracetamol and vitamin c he said I should give my baby 0.5ml 3times a day.
Please experienced mothers is these drugs not too much for a 2weeks old baby.

For d swollen feet, always raise ur legs wt pillows....when ur lying down n even when ur breastfeeding. Reduce ur salt intake n drink lots of water so u can pee well.

Pele dear....it happened to me for abt 3 weeks post delivery but gradually it cleared out.
Pls rest well o cos stress also contributes

For d nipple ish, pls ensure dt he is latched on well....i think iomoge2 shld b able to advice on dt

So many mentions from you all. I wish I can respond to every single one. 
It's been a stressful few days!
From going to the hospital everyday at 2am to drop expressed breast milk and staying till 10pm. It's been hard. I've not slept in 2days!
He is now sucking directly from breast and mehn he can suck oooooo!! He can suck!!!

In all I thank God cos it's better than him not eating at all. The pain and sleepless night is so worth it. 
Ilan is doing well, and we have been discharged. Just waiting to fill paperwork and get home to rest. 

Pls what can I do abt swollen feet? It's so bad it hurts to walk. My bp is normal

Also my left nipple and areola hurts when Ilan sucks. Pls what can I do? all sabi mamas

I just got over Wat u feeln ds past week so I know how painful dt can be.
My was so lumpy n I got scared did a scan but nothing serious.
Doctor prescribed Antibiotics + PCM + white Vitamins C and less than 48hrs, there was drastic relief n reduction in d lumps.
Cause: excess milk in the bwest for more than 2days. I usually express @ work but during d Xmas hols I stopped coz I was wif DS saw no need to xpress hence d accumulated hind milk dt caused Mastitis
Solution: just like other mamas av said, let ur baby feed on d bwest n express out d hind milk for later feed. Express Wen LO can't empty d bwest n it still feels full

For the breast try hot towel massage then pump.
I would have suggested cabbage but u still nid to breastfeed.
Then clean ur nipples very well with warm water,then with olive oil.
Kpele for the engorgement pains.

Let your baby keep sucking cos the more she sucks the better for you and the duct will open soon before it leads to mastitis.
You should start nursing your baby on the breast that is blocked first so she can empty it well before getting full and not nurse for long again.

Use a hot or cold compress whichever one gives you the best relief to massage the affected part.

Take ibuprofen to ease the pain and fever should there be any.

Rest well, avoid stress and take plenty water.

If the Breast becomes red and hot please go see a doctor.


I prefer waiting till after the vaccine to administer pcm.

Please use a wet cold washcloth on the thigh where the Penta is given some babies get burn form the hotness of the medicine and please DO NOT MASSAGE.

Cuddle her and nurse well afterwards cos she may be very cranky.

Official advice of most doctors and nurses is don't give pcm till baby is running temperature after the shot. If no temperature, no need for pcm.

Hello mamas, how r we all doing today?

My DD is due for her 6weeks immunization tomorrow. Do I give her pcm b4 we go to the hospital?

Also pls who knows anything about 'clogged ducts'?? Noticed my left br.east was painful and had a hard lump last night..tried to express but it wasn't flowing well. Pls wat do I do o....its still swollen n painful. We have been managing it but it really hurts.

U can switch to wiping for now, and then resume using water to clean up after u have put to bed

Because am not used to wiping at all I just use water to clean up and that's all. Please answer my curiosity.
