Peledonomy:
Thanks. I went through the site.

Three courses really hooked me.

1. Environmental health science
2. Criminology
3. Tourism.

I am researching about the three courses b4 I make my choice. However, I have a question.

What is the disadvantage of learning these courses at noun?

Of the 3 courses, number 2 is the most straightforward. In NOUN, the challenges often come from Non-examinable courses. For those that are new, these courses are courses you register but don't take exams on them. Example of such include the IT/SIWES, Practicum, Seminar, Project, Teaching Practice, Micro Teaching etc. These courses though have no exams to me seems to be the courses that delays students the most.
I remember some years ago, my cousin was delayed in B.Sc. Information Technology for nearly 2 years because of seminar. He kept submitting and resubmitting and no result. Those that did micro teaching will tell you the same.
More details shortly

Peledonomy:
OK. So please what do I need for the admission?

admissions.nouonline.net
Select the course or programme u want and check the requirements.

Peledonomy:
Please when is the next session commencing? I want to get the form and start!

Ending of June

Peledonomy:
What does it mean email is not recognised?

When you enter your email and you get that response, it means your email has not been created.

The lies that one told oneself is self inflicting injury. Their is no discrepancy between the BVAs report and what was displayed in court.
I don't know why nairaland would allow you to come here and mislead the public

Don't mind them. Any sane person knows that the election was rigged. I don't even need any court to prove it. But it is funny how those that keep crying that Nigei6 is not moving forward keep supporting things like election rigging just because it favours them at that point.

jahsson:
Yes pls, i have completed all registrations... Both for the course and examinations. I completed registration monday, i also put into consideration the 2-3 working days it may take... Still no access...

Be patient as the database will be updated. Note that Monday was a Public holiday. Keep trying, I am sure that before weekend, you will be able to login. Please, you are a returning student, you may try to login using last semester's details. This worked for some persons.

If I were Nathaniel Bassey and I know from the depth of my heart my hands are clean over the matter, I will laugh over the matter and advice the fellow to go for a DNA test.

Where did you think this from?

Let them remove it but we should even be seeing the light first before talking about subsidy removal.

jahsson:
Problem is i cant seem to access the elearn portal... Keeps giving me invalid studet matric number. What can i do to rectify this issue

Elearn gives access to only those that have registered for both courses and exams. I also take some days (normally between 24-72hrs) after registration to have access.
Have u completed your registration?
When did you complete your registration?

jahsson:
Thank you... I've gained access...
What fo i do after paying for course and exam registrations pls...

If you have paid and registered both your courses and exams, the next is to take all your TMAs and prepare for exams.

Hmmm

Saddam001:

Tackle power supply and the insecurities and you will go down as one of the best. Ride on Baba wey dey pepper the North wey think say Nigeria belongs to only them. 😂 More years in good health and more wisdom Mr. President.

petrusevents:
we just defended our Msc thesis of tuesday 26th, is it still possible for us to meet with this year convocation?

If your department is serious, they sure can. M Sc Public Health?
I hope you guys will meet up provided your department do the needful.

TheManOfTheYear:
Hey man, thank you for all you do on this thread. God bless you.

Please I have a dilemma here, I have practicals scheduled to start mid next month in April, but the challenge I have now is that I’d be at NYSC camp during that 2-week practical period.

Someone told me I can do the practicals in 2nd semester (both 1st and 2nd semester practicals combined).

My question is: can I do it next semester? Will it affect my grades? Do I still need to re-register the practical courses in 2nd semester?

I apologize for the many questions but I hope you get the point

Yes, you can dos whatever course u have this semester by next semester.
It won't affect your grade provided you don't sit for the exams.
I advise you drop the courses and the exams at the study centre so you can have your money back.

jahsson:
Pls gmail is not recognizing my noun email... What do i do??

If email is not reconised, go to support.nou.edu.ng
Send a TIcket against "NO Email". Email should be created in 48-72hrs.

Dragunz:
Hello, please do you have any idea how to go about to get someone's portal opened after being locked due exam malpractice?

A panel requested the student for questioning and the matter was resolved in which the panel cleared the student that the portal will be re-opened but its been weeks still nothing has happened.

This one will entail the student going back to the study centre to give this complaint since the portal was locked as a result of directive from the study centre.

NapoleonHill:
Ok, thanks. Please, when does next semester start?

22nd July tentatively.

NapoleonHill:
Hello, everyone. I'm applying for the ICT M.Sc. programme. I made a payment of #7,500 this morning. I'm asked to provide referees who are academics and I honestly don't have the time at the moment.

How long can I pause with this registration?

What semester are we presently in and when is the next exam?

If I complete my registration next month, when will I be taking the first exam?

Thanks.

Exams for this semester begin 30th May. If you want to be part of this semester, you have to get all these done and start studying. If otherwise, you can wait till next semester before u do all these.

thopesy:
Good evening brother. Please what is the meaning of “I” under the status category. Also I will like to know when I can go to Lagos Study Centre (VI) to rectify my issues. I am assuming they have a specific days to attend to student issue. I will need to take permission at work, I no wan go der in vain.

I means INCIMPLETE. It stands for incomplete results and this refers to courses whereby a student sits for exams and no TMAs or less than 2 TMAs or a student take TMAs and no exams. Go to your portal (nouonline.net) and check the result. Check under 'remark' column and you will see the description. NT = No TMAs. NE= No Exams.
As for your study Centre-related issues, u may have to reach someone at that place.

Blessedarethepe:
This new change is likely to affect the dates of TMAs

It hardly affects. TMAs can be ongoing while registrations are ON.

honey001:
Thanks bro. I got error message that I have already registered and I have not. I think I will have to visit the study centre

You can only get error of wrong password and not error of one that has registered earlier as u are not going there to register but to login. If u are in line with my explanation, try this:
No, go to support.nou.edu.ng
Choose the appropriate ticket for reseting of email password.
Send the complain and wait for 48-72hrs. It will be treated. Cheers.

FameGlory:
Good morning everyone.

Please I have a question.

1) What happens when someone just enrolls for M.Sc in NOUN but got study visa to study in UK.

The person is to resume in September.

How will the person complete his NOUN M.Sc when he or she travels abroad?

2) Can someone abroad, lets say in UK enroll for fresh study in NOUN?

If you have enrolled, before you travel, try and let your study centre know. You can take all your exams online (it's called On Demand Exams) though subject to approval by the Directorate of Exams and Assessment. You can run all the exams from there. Courses like practicum and project, you have to relate with your study centre on them.

honey001:
@Enskynelson, Please how do i access my NOUN Email, i have the E-mail but no password

Default password is matriculation in uppercase (CAPTIAL LETTER)

If na by age, Yahaya Bello would have been the best governor.

Rogersmith:
[@Enskynelson, please how do I go about change of course from one faculty to another faculty? I have already gotten matriculation number. Thank you

Change of Course is 5k. Same money for another application (UG). And this will take sometime. Weigh your option and see which will be better for u- apply for your desired programme and do verification again or go you study centre and get the change of programme form.

Omihanifa:
Bidemi olosho

Bidemi means BORN WHILE THE FATHER WAS AWAY. Hahaha. He could be away for any reason. Hahaha.

thopesy:
Entry mode: Open

I don’t know what that means

This means 100L entry level. Yours should be DIRECT entry level. This can affect your graduation as they will be expecting you to clear those 100L courses.
You need to write the academic registry (I think) through your study Centre Director. Attach a copy of your admission letter and credentials that qualifies you for the DE. It will be fixed.
