There are players we should have moved on from, like Maguire at 80m and AWB at 50m.

Problem is that we still need a LCB, and a CM, as well as a LB.

We need to sign a LB to compete with Shaw (or replace him), and move Williams over to compete with AWB at RB while Laird goes out on loan.

I believe Alaba has 1yr left on his contract. We can try getting him even though i suspect he will just use us to get a better deal from Bayern.

Only 2 people can hold their heads high from yday.

1) Bruno who took it like a final and played well throughout and cut out most of his carelessness.

2) Fred who played to the top level he can play. He took it like a final.

Pogba’s inability to play winning football reared its ugly head yday. Showing off and trying to beat 3 men when a simple quick pass would do the job faster.
His talent level means he would always have great moments but he often does not just get it.

Having said that he was one of the better players yday.

Rashford saw an overlapping Williams and instead of passing it quickly he stopped the ball, did a pirouette and tried a fancy flick. Tosser!

Martial and Greenwood need to keep their heads and continue working on their movement and finishing. Their general play was okay but they were unlucky with their finishing.

Maguire and Lindelof went to sleep at key moments. We need to buy 1 CB who is better than what we have now to come and partner one of them.

Williams was obviously exhausted but Ole watched until it led to a goal before making any changes. That is on Ole.
Sometimes you just need fresh legs.

Rashford was having a stinker and Ole did nothing about it until it was too late. That is also on Ole.

You can’t just blame only the players for missing chances.

We played relatively well and the tactics were okay but the substitutions were terrible.

This was a democratic loss. Almost everybody had a share in the final outcome.

He is part of the problem. 1 v 1 when he is with a man he is great, but once there is really good movement around him he gets confused easily.

Watch the 1st goal and how gets drawn into an area he shouldn’t be in and fails to track runners.

2nd goal he was ball watching and failed to cover his CB Lindelof who was sleeping on duty.

I don’t think he is going to be the starting RB by the end of his present contract.

Check my previous post, I have criticized Martial in more than 3 post. For me, we should get Sancho (To play RWF but can comfortably play on the left if Martial and Rashford start their nonsense with Greenwood as the RWF) and a striker, not an Ighalo or Zlatan but one at the peak of his powers to either send Martial and Rashford to the bench or have them raise their game to keep their place in the team...No time for mediocrity again.

I stopped criticizing after matches because i was sure that over time he would expose himself.

Slide tackling for a relegation fighting team is not all that is needed to be a RB for an ambitious club.

I have never been a fan right from time as I rather my fullbacks have the ability to attack and defend in almost equal measure...I subtly dropped hints here that I wasn't comfortable with his style but I didn't want it to sound like I have an agenda against the lad...

He might get away with his style in the league, but in Europe he'll definitely get found out like yesterday where Reguilon's overlapping runs meant he was often caught flat-footed...1 vs 1 he is almost unbeatable but when there's movement around him, you get to see his inadequacies...
