If every solution is to spend and spend huge, there's no guarantee there. Barca has wasted a lot of money spending big on players. For all RM huge spending that brought success, at least in the last decade or so, Ronaldo was the major factor. RM could have spent big on every player and still not do shit without Ronaldo.

It's unfair to say we've not been spending. We have the most expensive CB and CM. Everyone agrees that Martial and Greenwood has some goal scoring talents. For all City spending, they won't have achieved the results they've had and broken those records if not for Pep's tactics and style of play. Ole has the potential to become something big, I have seen some evidence. He just needs to be more consistent and brutal. He needs to demand more from the players and put some names on the bench for a game or two.

I understand that people want to shout goal and lift trophies. We will get there, its a process. As far as I'm concerned, right now, the current team should focus on developing good sustainable football pattern, win as many matches as possible, have some good runs and score a good number of goals. When we have built an identity, we can now look at who and who will really be a good fit and should be added to the team. I'm telling you that the team will go on to win trophies and dominate.
