Citizens own guns for various reasons

1) Protection... Everybody should be able to do this.

2) For Sport/ Hunting
Why should anyone be prevented from those. Norway has one of the highest rates of gun ownership, and one of the lowest crime/murder rates in the world. When it's regulated properly then citizens should be allowed own guns. If Nigerians were allowed to own gun legally all these threats of Boko Haram, Sars and police misbehaving will be very low. Especially Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen wahala
3. For destruction

Disagree about the 2nd amendment Rights. The 2nd amendment itself is a deterrent factor. Every Citizen should have the rights to defend his self and family. You cannot March into somebody house In the middle of the night and not expect retaliation. It could have been a burglar hiding as policemen. I wish Nigeria gave us the right to legally own fire arms as well.
And you also argue that policemen shouldn't take necessary precautions if they have any reason to be in your house? How do we reconcile these two?

Man you have to do whatever you have to do to make the government listen and start paying attention. This riot will show them that we the blacks are them serious. Riots happen when the people feel that there are no longer any peaceful options are left. Violence sometimes is necessary that's why America won't shut up about the event of 9/11. I wish I was close to minneapolis to join them.
Then why don't you attack government facilities instead of private owned stores and stealing items there? Is that protest or stealing?

People that saw the bigger picture left the white man's religion and his concept of God.

Christianity and Islam are mainly political tools of the whites and Arabs, which they use for global domination. It's purely politics, and not about salivation or any tripe they invented to pursue their selfish agenda.

Many blacks will still come to realize this important truth at one point in their life.

The truth is, the situation of the black man can be likened to an uneducated man that has gold but doesn't know its value (since he loathes seeking knowledge and regards every inexplicable things in nature with superstition).

So, the knowledgeable and wiser white man gives him something like a mirror (inferior to gold) and takes the gold from him.

The gold is our own native culture and indigenous gods, goddesses, and how our forefathers saw the concept of God Almighty. The inferior object is the foreign culture and religions (Islam and Christianity) exported to our lands via slavery, colonialism, and trade.

Many blacks watch movies, which influence their life outlook: There's a psychological effect (inferiority complex) produced in a black man's psyche when he watches his local gods and goddesses getting defeated by mentioning Jesus' or Allah's name in movies.

These are local gods and goddesses, which Yahweh and Allah have described as demons or small idols (I wonder who did the sham of categorization).

But the simple truth is, Yahweh and Allah themselves are local deities.

Any man/culture/nation that gives/imposes on you things like religion, language, and education has colonized your thinking. When a man is colonized mentally, he's a slave physically to his masters as well.

The universe is mental.

When most of us can recognize these truths, that's when the black race and Africa will start growing and developing.

When people say something is wrong with the black race, that's what is wrong (the dislike of the black man to seek knowledge and engage in scientific research).

A people should seek knowledge and be developed in thinking enough to develop their own (native) systems of language, education, and religion.

People shouldn't see this post as encouraging anyone to hate a white man or Arab. When we look at the situations of the black race today, we only have our ignorant and greedy forefathers to blame, and ourselves for not having the will and wisdom to think deep and see the bigger picture.

As the saying goes, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Africans have been fooled by whites and Arabs not less than a thousand times, and it's time for us to think deeply and stop being slaves.

Even though religions always stifle gaining knowledge and the overall development of a land/planet, it's still wiser for a person to worship his local orisha (deity) than worship the local orisha (Allah, Yahweh, or Jesus) of foreign lands.

Those foreign gods are local deities; if in doubt, check the human-like traits (such as jealousy, anger, love for destruction, vindictiveness) of Allah or Jehovah in Qur'an or the Bible.

For me (based on my research and experience), it's wiser to regard the name of our local deities, who are our ancestors in this part of the world, with respect and reverence than worship any local deity.

And it's also wiser to discard the 2 foreign deities (who are the ancestors of foreign lands) that have colonized our lands mentally and physically.

When you worship anyone, you can't grow in wisdom and intelligence than them.

However, demonizing our local deities is an ill thought-out action, like most people do, has bad repercussions for the person and his land (when the majority of them curse and demonize their ancestors).

When a river forgets its source, it dries up. Enough said.

You guys keep drawing me back to this issue, fine I'll explain it further.

The sarduana's words were exactly the point i was making. Here you can see a regional leader feeling threatened because of the financial success of the igbos. His suspicion even led him to say he will prefer to hire outsiders first before considering his fellow Nigerian.

In his own words he says "if an igbo man goes to any land, he wants to monopolize everything" how else would you interpret that? It was obvious that he was scared of their success and felt threatened.

The reporter even asked him if he was aware such a stance will be damaging to the unity of the country to which he answered YES.

You guys are just twisting facts to suit your narratives. His objectives there were crystal clear.
As at that time or even now, how many northerners are in any position in the east?

All these racial craps, people get racially profiled even in their own black nations, either by fellow black man or non black person.

If you go to or work in places in Nigeria where we have white people, you will see how a fellow black man will openly give preferential treatment to white man over black man. You need to kill the inferiority complex in black man, that may be the first step in earning white man's respect.
Truth be told, blacks are selfish and we're more likely to try to dominate and fight each other in any given opportunity. Majority of us do things without looking at the bigger picture

Sad to say, but black people are not ready to understand the system.

And there is a system.

You don't see Jewish people being killed left, right and centre. It's not because people like Jews - Afterall, there was a holocaust.

You don't see police killing Indians the way they kill blacks either.

You don't see them killing Chinese. Infact, a Chinese looking man(can't confirm) appeared to be an accomplice in the murder of that dude....and all this in USA which is more or less at war...with China!

The reason you don't see all these killings isn't because Jewish people protest pass. It's because of organised money.

These ethnicities: The Jews, the Indians, that Chinese, they all pool their money together within their communities and then use it to buy access to the corridors of power where they lobby power to favour their interests.

Theres enough wealth in African-America where they can also begin to lobby power, but they dont.

Imagine Trump making a solid argument that he did more for black people than Obama. How did black people let that happen? What are black interests?

I promise you if a Jew was killed the way that man was killed, the police commissioner would have received some phonecalls from high places, before it even hit the news

The time for protesting, kneeling, singing negro spirituals, and all other forms of shalaye is very much in the past with Dr King.

Now is the time for organised money. The problem is, do the blacks with money really think black lives matter? cheesy

Capernick that knelt is even half white. His fully dudu colleagues left him to rot on his own.

Jay-z seens to be the only one publicly buying into the idea of organised money.

Most other black celebs and wealth owners are acting in exactly the same way a typical black person would act - as far e no touch me, e no consign me.

That's a major reason why I feel BLM is a joke. I mean just look how successful it's been.
I agree!

They can protest all they want but if the blacks in high positions refuse to do anything for their fellow blacks, the protests won't have any considerable impact. Those are the ones that can make things happen. There are rich powerful blacks, there are blacks in the police force, there are blacks in Washington and the Senate. They should do something for their people.

You are missing the point. This is not about blacks killing blacks or even whites just killing blacks.

It is about armed, trained, and government backed groups I.e the police seemingly going around and targeting men because of their skin color.

The men are not allowed by law to run away, fight back, or resist. They are sitting ducks and meant to just sit there and take whatever comes their way.
And this is coming from the police that is meant to protect them.

The average white guy sees a police car on a dark street and immediately feels safe. The average African-American in the same situation immediately feels his life might be in danger.

That should not be the case.
Hmmm it's unfortunate that we have blacks in privileged positions in the police and government but they're not doing anything about it

Some days ago, there was an argument here that referenced racial profiling and violence against blacks in the USA.
I usually steer clear of political, religious and ethnically charged arguments as they usually involve more emotions than common sense.

However, in recent days, the cases of Ahmaud Arbery, Christian Cooper and now George Floyd simply buttress the argument of a particular line of reasoning.

As Will Smith said, racism isn't increasing. It's just getting filmed.

May the deceased RIP.
Could it be that blacks killing blacks don't get as much press time as this?

Lol. Anything not to hold PDP and his goons responsible for their failed phcn privatization.

The fact of the matter is that Malami engaged Trobell to recover debt from IOCs based on the PS arrangement on behalf of the FG. Buhari ordered termination of the contract when he learnt that the FG will be paying Trobell a 5% commission for their job and ordered that the DPR and FIRS should do the job.

Did FG pay Trobell a dime? NO.
Was the contract terminated by Buhari? Yes

But no, let’s use that as a basis not to talk about the sham privitalization done by GEJ as confirmed by the ex EC of NERC.

And I’m the party man. grin

No. They are not comparable. The issue raised was the 5% commission Malami agreed to pay the company and that’s the reason Buhari ordered for the termination of the contract.

1. The contract was signed by Malami as the Minister of Justice and Trobell International Limited. The contract came as a result of a Supreme Court consent judgement to go after those unremitted product sharing contract revenue.

2. When Buhari heard that the Malami entered a contract with Trobell to recover debt from IOC, he ordered him to terminate the contract and ask why the Department of Petroluem Service and FIRS can’t work on the debt recovery themselves. He even questioned how they arrive at the 5% commission to be paid.

Whether they are registered as a debt recovery company or not, I don’t know and I have read nothing of such.

Now back to the power issue, I wish I know how to search thread on Twitter, I will have sent you the link to the series of thread Sam Amadi, The Former Executive Chairman of NERC wrote power the privitalization of the those discos and gencos and how it will cost the FG billions of dollars to revoke their license.

Why do you think the Discos have been rejecting power sent to them, failed to issue meters to customers, non compliance to EPSRA and the likes. Do you know how many times this FG has threatened to revoke their licenses? You know why they haven’t done it till date? Because it will cost Billions of dollars to do so.

That’s the kind of power sector this admin inherited. A failed privitilization.
The fact is that buhari government went into an agreement with a company that's not registered as a debt recovery company, neither any records of debt recovery by that company. Buhari government agreed to pay 5% which is equivalent to over 2b dollars. This happened, yes?

Okay Buhari asked that the contract be revoked but his instruction wasn't carried out for 6 months. Tell me who was sacked for this gross insubordination? Malami is still out there defending the deal o. You see why I can't talk about the past government when this is happening right now
