How much has mourinho made for those clubs? The players you claim he spent over 1 billion for how much has the club raked through them? Stop being foolish

You've just shown you know nothing about management, a manager achieves results while minimizing overhead cost.
A football manager has a budget and can never go above that budget. He does not set this budget himself. So tell me how he can overspend when he does not go above his budget. Of course if you were smart you would also try to find out how much he has made for these clubs before saying trash

I wasn't referring to Pogbas deal. I am just saying Mo isn't the most gifted of managers when it comes to buying Bargain players.

Hate on Wenger all you want, I consider him to be the best Bargain buyer in the world. How can a manager spend over €1bn throughout all his club careers that's outrageous.
And you are complaining because you are who again? A coach job is not to be balancing account. It is to get the expected results. Unless Wenger is doing two jobs at Arsenal, coach and accountant. You can also consider Wenger to be the best trophy winner too grin or has the definition of a football manager changed?

It doesn't matter, I have an MSc in biochemistry and I've been at home for the past 4-5 months and I'm sure there are many people out there in similar situations. I think the best thing that matters is the course of study, it must not be restricted to a particular field.
I studied biochemistry too bsc and some people were saying go do your MSc I just shook my head because it's a waste to me. Job opportunities for biochemistry graduates is so limited and then when you go further to do MSc it simply means you have decided to tow that career line only unless something pops up. Truth is that for your MSc to be useful you have to do PhD. This is just the fact. With PhD you can have options but just MSc? Nothing for you. Of course people still get employed with just MSc in multinationals but then you have to struggle with the other millions who have same MSc probably from the UK and all and probably finished much younger than you.

I edited my post, you may wanna review your response.

Now, what has "Fulani" got to do with anything?? If it is about appointments, let me ask, does appointing, instead of a Fulani man, an Efik, Igbo, Idoma, Kanuri, Yoruba, Ijaw, etc automatically translate into turning the tide in our economy?? When you raise issues and you bring in arguments regarding ethnicity, you just mess things up, especially on this forum.

The economy is what it is today not because of the pilots we have but because the fundamentals are in shambles!!

Cast your mind back to what it was just weeks before handover!! There was no fuel anywhere, no electricity, banks were closing by 12noon because there was no electricity. Telecoms companies were unable to sustain their activities due to issues bordering on availability of gasoline/diesel to power their generators, etc!!

All these happening when crude was still being sold @ $70pb!! Now, it is being sold at just over half that price and people expect to see miracles happen!! Brother, it isn't that simple.

When recession came calling sometime in 2006 (or thereabouts) with a crash in crude prices, Nigeria defended her currency and her economy with over $20billion. Imports was sustained and the value of the naira was hardly affected. We had over $60billion in our reserves then!

Today, we are talking about just over half that amount at the point of handover with a population increase of over 15million!! This implies that if $20billion was being used to keep the economy afloat then, we would require even more today to do same!!

Now, imagine the implication of pulling out over 20billion dollars from our current reserve about a year ago or even now, and being left with about 10-15billion in reserves!! Imagine a country that isn't credit worthy!!

Dude, these are fundamental issues that would take time to correct. People don't see these things because they are too emotional to analyse them dispassionately.

Everybody is feeling the pangs, but I foresaw this coming from day one, so did NOI herself and Sanusi. They warned that we saved for the rainy day but the admin they worked under never heeded that warning. Today, shiit has really hit the fan and everyone is pointing accusing fingers at this government. I'm afraid I won't blame her on the state of the economy- it has been a long time coming.

Ps: you still haven't suggested what you would have done differently though.
My suggestions
1. Focus all energy on generation of at least 18 hours electricity supply all over Nigeria. We are losing too much money using alternatives, money that could be used to be more productive as an individual and as a nation. This would even reduce fuel consumption and we won't have to worry about fuel scarcity because we would have more than enough for our vehicles. Trust me do this and watch Nigeria take that giant leap. In fact 100 generations from now will never stop appreciating APC and Buhari, there will be no more oppositions. Even PDP members will carry placards for APC. Just ignore some other projects and focus on this for a year, people will complain(we have been complaining for a long time so what's the difference?)but at the end of the year there will be rejoicing.
2. Statement of intent is to have a review of salaries earned by public officers. No one should be allowed to earn more than a 100k-150k monthly. I mean this should be the salary at the highest level. No more bonuses. At the end of the year there can be 13th month salary and that's all. Do this and see how much we would have saved. After all how many Nigerians earn more than this even at the peak of their careers? Only a very small percentage. This would immediately eradicate that do or die mentality of political positions seeking individuals.
3. Leave the media and do your work. Any government that has to come explain what he has done/ been doing to me has failed or is failing. Normally you don't need to sing your praises, people should do that for you voluntarily. These projects should be visible even to the blind and audible to the deaf. This was why I couldn't vote for Jonathan last election. Though I love him personally, I have to search and search before I can know of any projects he has successfully completed and even some were still debatable. It shouldn't be so.

I will stop here for now.

Man Utd is more desperate than City

man utd has missed out of Europe 2 times out of 3, City has made top 4 in the past 5yrs or so

Man Utd has to win immediately because their supposed building period was under LvG who probably didnt do a very good jo at it.
City has an ageing team and needs to refresh it with young players, Thats why they are buying teenagers to rebuild

Both teams moves in the market makes it obvious
So mourinho is not allowed to build his team? You're smart.

So he can build for the future . You break transfer records to win immediately but when you are buying teenagers like Sane Zinchenko Jesus(who might not even join till January) then your aim is likely for the future
grin grin grin
Pogba is 23 my friend. He signed a 6 years contract. If that is not a long term plan then maybe I need to go read up what that means. So I guess if he remains the transfer record for the next 5 years he has to win the league for the next 5 years too and also the champions league. Nice one.

So why did Pep go for them? So he could loose? Or so he can have excuses on why he couldn't win?

boo boo boo, bay bay bay, bla bla bla. You trying so hard to sound intelligent but u still coming out dull.
Apart from the record signing, he signed two other players for over 30M each, coupled with the fact that Ibra is on a wage of well over 200k weekly, Pogba is on that as well.
Two very high profile signings were gotten by him this season alone.
Need I add that Mou has over 5yrs EPL experience? You mean manure did all these so MOU could go trophyless?

Before u counter me, u must be able to tell me any of Peps signings that are of higher profile in football than Pogba and Ibra, secondly, any of his signings that will earn over 200k weekly.
Let me add, that if Mou wins any trophy it won't be seen as due to tactics or skill we'll always remember he got Ibra and a record signing. You don't get record signings to go trophyless.
You don't even need to spend much before you are labeled as a failure if you can't win a major trophy in any of the big leagues. Wenger has been labeled a failure for many years now and he didn't even have to spend much to merit it.
What we MU fans want to see from mourinho's team is an attacking brand of football, threatening everybody. He does not have to win the league or the world cup this season.

You dont have to sack him as sacking him involves a lot of things, Maybe his buys might not be liked by the next manager, Maybe you would have to pay him big for contract breach

But you would admit he failed, the level of failure would now determine whther he is worthy of sack or not. If by May you are 16th then he has failed majorly and sack is very likely, if he ends up 2-4th then he has failed slightly and has a case for one more season to improve
You should know that Madrid were buying to add to their team of all stars. MU is full of average players. Over 70% won't even make bench in a Madrid or Barcelona team.

Yes!
His pace and strength helps him a lot but he often look clueless with pacy attackers that can match him as well.
I don't know why I'm even arguing with you. Our Newcastle game where he was at fault for almost all the 3 goals tells the story.
So you know before you can attach something with somebody it has to be consistent. Smalling has the ability to be the best defender in the world. He only needs quality midfield around him just like other world class defenders. But one thing am sure is that players don't easily go pass Smalling. At a time last season I was pitying Smalling and De Gea. They were the only two players in that team that were consistent.

Who said he neglected his defensive duties? I was talking about his tendency to follow the ball which could result to the opponent easily dribbling/pacing around him instead of him standing his ground..
Easily dribbling around Smalling? Lol. You are smart.

But Is that what we're talking about here?

6 months? When mourinho carried the league and Spanish cup Di Maria was very instrumental. When Ancelloti carried the champions league Di Maria was at his best throughout. Go watch that final against Athletico again. Bros na wa o.

Diademk07:
I already trashed out this argument. Just watch his Leicester/Newcastle/Wolfsburg/Stoke performance. He tends to follow the ball around while leaving his partner.

Furthermore, it his pace and strength to hold off attackers that makes him stand out but whenever other attackers can match him for that pace and strength, he often look clueless.
Even if I don't remember other matches I can remember Leicester. There was nothing he did wrong that was so obvious. For someone that had below par players around him last season he held his own well. Yes he does push ball forward and that's because of the useless midfield we have but he never neglects his defensive duties. Never! He may have caused us some trouble but he was one of the most consistent players in the league last season. Every opponent attack was direct to our defense because of the nonexistent midfield. Of course I don't expect you to know this not to talk of agreeing to this.
