smartty68: In the other way round, 1. FG should be summoned before its citizens for why they've caused untold hardships faced today in the country.
2. And why the changes so far has been on paper and virtual...
3. And why CBN FX interventions has been futile...
4. And why the $100 limits placed on Naira MasterCard...
5. And why there have not been uninterrupted power supply since the APC government took over...
6. Add yours.. 7. And why is inflation at 17.9% basically devaluing the money in people's pockets? N10,000 last year is now worth N8,300 meanwhile prices have gone up at the same time. They've basically impoverished the citizens. |

Omoluabi16: maybe the man didn't go on beast mode like abacha, but he did nothing notable in his 11months. How he has become a nationalist/icon we'll never know. True, I don't think he was "bad" in that sense, but definitely not someone that qualifies to be called a hero or nationalist. Just as you said, what notable thing did he achieve during his time? The way we give our leaders free passes in Nigeria is just amazing. |

The problem pf the Nigerian politics is its people. It's withing them that the power of politics lies. It's my opinion - what I think the issue is. You don't have to agree with it. |
Crime › Re: Joy Odama Died Of Cocaine Poison, Alhaji On The Run by ephi321(f): 7:19pm On Jun 12, 2017 |
Nigerians are extremely backward though. A crime was committed, so normal sense demands that the culprit be brought to book. But Nigerians will rather sit and be using their self-righteous hands to condemn the victim.
So basically some are trying to justify the action of the murderer? No wonder the country keeps getting wicked leaders that make life hard for them, because the people themselves are wicked.
Y'all deserve the hardship you are facing. |

lovelygurl: To me they are worse. All waiting for a miracle to happen, too lazy/scared or whatever to do sth, don't even know anything about politics. How? Most of them were born into corruption thinking it's the norm for politicians to steal away their money, while they sit there, cause a division among themselves ( instead of working together), argue about who is the better president (with their tribes being the criteria).
As if they lived what will be considered a normal life under either of those people and when few with brains come out to protest, all they have to say is "And how does this change anything", as if sitting around helps.
OH and of course boobs and ass are more important than being productive.
You don't see that as visionless. You are right it's even worse For majority of the youths, yes. But there are people with values achieving great stuff and charting new courses in the private sector, if you put such people in government, they will excel and move this country forward. But guess what, such people never get into positions. The problem with Nigerian politics is the dominance of the wrong people and that is not going to change anytime soon. |

IamaNigerianGuy: Babangida not Abacha. Abacha was an opportunistic goon. Babangida not Abacha. Abacha was not second in command after the 1985 coup. Babngida not Abacha is the source of all our problems in Nigeria since 1985. Abacha was not possible without Babangida. Babangida Babangida Babangida
Understand ? Hmm, so you are trying to absolve Abacha completely? I beg to disagree. |
Politics › Re: June 12 And MKO Abiola (Photos) by ephi321(f): 2:41pm On Jun 12, 2017 |
IamaNigerianGuy: Babangida derailed democracy in Nigeria not Abacha Babaginda did, but Abacha also continued with it (and made the situation worse) - so I guess they both should rot wherever they are. Abacha received his formal military training at Nigerian and British military training colleges. He rose through the ranks in the Nigerian military and by 1983 had achieved the rank of brigadier when he assisted Ibrahim Babangida in overthrowing Shehu Shagari, who had been elected to his second presidential term in 1983. Muhammad Buhari became Nigeria’s leader, but just two years later Babangida overthrew Buhari and installed himself as leader with Abacha second in command. Elections were held in 1993 and were won by Moshood Abiola, a candidate supposedly supported by Babangida, who, however, annulled the elections and set up a civilian interim government, which Abacha quickly overthrew. Although Abacha promised a return to democracy, his actions were anything but democratic. He banned political activity of any kind, fired a large portion of the military, controlled the press, and assembled a personal security force of some 3,000 men. While he supported the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and its military arm, ECOWAS Monitoring Group (ECOMOG), in sending troops to restore democracy in Liberia and Sierra Leone, he brutally suppressed dissent at home. Abiola and Olusegun Obasanjo, a former military leader of Nigeria (1976–79), were jailed for treason. Wole Soyinka, Nigeria’s Nobel laureate, was also charged with treason, although he had voluntarily left the country. Perhaps Abacha’s most brutal act was the imprisonment, trial, and subsequent execution for treason of writer Ken Saro-Wiwa and other Ogoni activists who were concerned with the environmental exploitation of their region by multinational petroleum companies. |

I AM A FULL BLOODED IGBO,,AND I SUPPORT THE RESENTLESS EFFORT AND RESTORATION OF BIAFRA Bt honestly this man declaration speech nailed it... Its just so disheartening that those people he talked about in his speech are still ruling Nigeria under the guise of civilian regime... They are wolfs in sheep clothing ,,,,
I jst still wonder why all those people that would have transformed Nigeria in a mega nation was sabotage by free moving heartless savages....
Honestly if what this man said in 1993 is still transpiring in our today Nigeria then Nigeria won't grow even come the next 100 years if this stance is still maintained Nigeria has probably moved backwards compared to 1993 in relative terms. Thanks to the same retrogressive leaders. |
