Nice one!... it can only be igbo.
It can only be a person who was determined to make something tangible of their life and took the right actions.

How can you develop Nigeria?

A country ruled by illiterates who are more interested in stopping intelligent people from getting to power. A country ruled by old men.
Well said.

As things currently stand with leadership in this country, Nigeria is going nowhere, that is the sad truth.

It is really not nice when we attack innocent post out of insecurity and tribalism. Two ladies achieved similar feat and I decided to also mention the achievement of the unmentioned one on the same thread celebrating the other so that lots of people can also read and draw inspiration from her.

I didn't condemn or attack Chinyelu "Chi" Onwurah in anyway but you guys keep attacking me. Why are you people like this? It appears you guys are angry that another Nigerian of Yoruba ancestry also won election in the UK and that is really very unfortunate.
There was nothing innocent about your post and you know it. What stopped you from creating a thread specially for Kemi? She is worthy of a whole thread of her own.

Your last statement is completely uncalled for. Any normal thinking person celebrates all Nigerians who do well. It is people like you who continue to becloud everyday thinking with tribalism. Grow out of it. The world is moving on, only this country is moving backwards thanks to tribalism.

What's wrong with my post? I don't get why you guys are angry.
Because people can clearly see what you are trying to do. It reeks of insecurity. Yep.

I really don't understand why you guys are so angry that another Nigerian also won a seat in the UK Parliament. Can't we celebrate all of them together without these tribalistic attacks?

Chinyelu "Chi" Onwurah and Kemi Adegoke Badenoch are both worthy of celebration, we should celebrate them without tribalising the thread.
Then create your own thread and celebrate Kemi as well, it's never too much to have many positive threads - especially when there is seldom anything to celebrate about Nigeria these days. Stop being petty and derailing the direction of the conversation. Not nice.

Kemi Badenoch, Nigerian born British also won her election as MP.
Wow, you are so insecure! Kemi has always done well in British politics for years, this lady here is new to the scene, what's wrong in celebrating her without someone like you trying to bring her down?

All they know is power, nothing about development. Other countries are putting in place strategic plans to develop even further in the future, our dearest Nigerian leaders only dream about grabbing power.

Millitary rule

Where students were executed in broad daylight for protesting against expulsion of their mates?

Where journalists could disappear for 3 years....and in some instances turn up dead.

Where an academic was deported for being opposed to the govt.?

Where you could not even do any form of agitation for resource control, secession, etc...

Where you would not even have a simple say in who ruled you?

Are we animals....that we need a keeper to keep us?

Democracy better pass....even now that I think our democratic rule is a mess. But people like GEJ did not lock up journalists, or close press organizations for 4-5 months the way IBB did in 1992 to Concord for an article stating that his admin had failed.
For the first time ever, I have to say I agree with all your points here.

What nonsense point are you talking about? You accused Northerners of staying in power for a very long term but it was the useless wailers that introduced the interruption of power in the country, which later resulted in more coups and counter coups.
Just go back to school and retake your history classes. I can't be wasting my time educating you. Sorry.

Who tempered with our beautiful democracy first? Is it not the wailing Yeasterners? Igbos are nothing but a wailing selfish minority tribe in this country. They've been wailing since independence and they are still wailing till date. They only know how to cry foul in every given situation.
What are we saying, what are you talking about? You can't even address the point made. Logical thinking is truly a struggle for many people. Not a surprise.

Continue shouting Yeasterners until your voice is hoarse.

By the way, before you continue misusing words all over the place:

Definition of tempered. 1 : treated by tempering; especially, of glass : treated so as to impart increased strength and the property of shattering into pellets when broken. 2 : having a specified temper —used in combination short-tempered

This is the same man whose remembrance pictures are pasted on buses in the North, he is still celebrated there despite his horrible legacy. Nigeria has a looong way to go.

Just reading below that he was the one who murdered the Ogoni 8 and several other assassinations. Well, death eventually came for him too. Evil beast.

But there hasn't been any declaration for Arewa Republic only Biafran Republic.

Since the return of Democracy,

Obasanjo, a Southerner ruled for eight years,

Yaradua, a Northerner, ruled for barely three years,

Jonathan, a Southerner ruled for five years and

Buhari, a Northerner has now ruled for two years.

In total, South has ruled for thirteen years while North ruled for only five years.. . So which one is Arewa Republic again?
Sooo convenient! Since return of democracy indeed.

Nigeria has been in existence since 1960 with majority of the military leaders from the North and they ALL played a key role in bringing this country to the woeful point it is right now.

Great post OP.

Nigeria still has a log way to go. When telecoms companies in other countries are literally throwing data at their customers and enabling free data roaming within all states of the EU, Nigerians are still at the point of managing data.

Men in their 30's, 40's and 50's are dying daily across the country from various ailments, while other men in their 70's & 80's are doing fine and enjoying their sunset in health.

What this implies is that good health is ultimately a gift from God in his infinite grace and mercies, so don't ridicule the medically challenged lest you tempt fate.
Everything God God God!

Whatever happened to building medical facilities and equipping them? Why is Buhari off to London to enjoy superior medical care if truly that is not a factor?

Imagine the deduction.

Fake news it must be.

Why? Because children of hatred and frustration always say it's fake news if the report is positive from NBS.

It's either all reports from NBS are fake or all are genuine. You can't accept some and reject others.

This is the best you can come up with?! Awwww, this is what Buhari has turned you people to. It's a sorry case truly and indeed.
