so cos money can change your tyre it would be stupid to do it?

Being lazy or not has nothing to do with Carrying heavy metals. He is mentally lazy, what a machine could have done, he used muscle which is unprofessional and unsafe
Not every job needs a machine some just need brut force.

Have been a silent reader of the argument between japarians and home based and to be honest, have learnt a lot from both side.
About remittance - when they claim 20b dollars is been remitted yearly, the question is about the outflow, it cancels out the inflow.
If i get 20b salary but 50b they commot for my hand, the account no balance.
we received 20b for a year yet about 30b was paid through form A to UK for school fees. That is 10b shortage already and that is just school fees, what about flight, visa fees etc and BTA that is taken there and this is just UK alone not to talk of US, Canada, Australia, Germany etc
So what we are even remitting abroad in a year is so staggering than, inflow becomes a chicken change.
I dnt think U got the gist of remittance. This is not remittance to govt or via govt .this is ordinary money sent by ordinary people working abroad to help their Nigerian friends and families and to their savings account or direct investment ie properties etc. The value you see as figures are those captured ie via direct bank transfer, money gram western Union or other transfer mechanism however the money transferred by hand is not captured.ie Ese might gibe Ayo $1000 to give to his mum cash since he Ayo os going home for Christmas. Hope U now get the gist of remittance from abroad.
Also do not forget the Millions invested I'm sending Dad and Mum cars from Abroad.

Flight is about $1k and you must have minimum €1k euro with you as BTA. It is visa free but there is an immigration form you need to fill online to notify them and pay like €30 or 50. Good luck
do they actually ask at point of entry to see the $1k?

More.

There has been the talk about 20b diaspora remittance inflow too. As usual, any attempt to have intellectual and rational discussions mostly fail, but I was able to PROVE and show the illogicality that this diaspora remittance is what is keeping Nigeria afloat on the thread below. They are a major part of Forex inflows for now, YES, but only amount to 4% of the value of our total productivity (GDP). Therefore the 96% is what is keeping the country afloat as against the 4%. Commonsense right? Well it flew past many heads. All info and evidence on the argument are available on pg 20-23.

https://www.nairaland.com/7447390/lonely-part-canada-no-one/21

Now, see screenshot below by a japarian erico2k2 that responded to a very intelligent lineup of points by lagblogger.

See the hypocrisy now!
See the true negativity?!

The same people that called others negativist and pessimist, rubbished the efforts of the Nigerians who worked hard even in the shithole to contribute that 96% of the GDP. But when I say simple math that diaspora remittance is NOT keeping Nigeria afloat, someone like Mr Ibeokehie said I am putting fellow compatriots abroad down, imagine! For stating simple math that even a toddler understands. How 4 became major to these people and 96 became minor is a phenomenon that should be studied.

Ahibgoilandgas did justice by also giving more information about said inflow, which the tru negativists will not even consider because it would hurt their egos. I have added some too, polithiefcians send money that is part of that inflow, money laundering cartels send money to 'wash' wey dey part of that inflow (we can sha remember Invictus Obi if una no remember anyone else), yahoo boys clients wey send money na still part of that inflow, eBay writers (I used to do this) tech bros/sis and others who earn in foreign currency online, most here have NEVER considered these... But some clique in Nairaland think it is all them, and when you try to open their eyes to see, you are a negative person.

Gerrard59 how is this on the hypocrisy meter? You still think this is about trying to get a visa and failing? Or just about grown men acting like babies..

'Who are the hard-working Nigerians?' he asked. Imagine! Ask any of these Niggas to do 1m giveaway as Jeff bezos wey dem be dem no go fit ooo...lol
grin
I dont think you even know what remitance is.

know you from where ..quoting 10m out of school kids in a conversion of remittance vs government budgets is not only emotional but has no bearing in the conservation! Only airline are taking 1bn usd from the Nigeria markets mr remitter ! Lumping all Japarian is emotional and unreasonable .So you been very emotional in your respond. Some Japarian are rich both in Niger and the UK or any where in the world ! Some Nigerians are top of their thing overseas. But for every 2 in this niche 20 are living in basement, poor housing .subrent and doing low life and dead end jobs they wouldn't touch with a pole back home . I go to the stadiums and event I hardly see any Nigerians just few very few. When I mean few we are really few ! Why I believe this NNPC conducted recruitment in 2017/18 many Japarains ran back to attend the Aptitude test ! Then NNPC entry level pay was around 280k per month and japarian where flying in from us ,Canada,.uk to attend!
You are just hating cos U could not get a VISA and recieved a long term Ban and here you are. Fact is these rubbish you are spewing on here why dont you venture to the property and Auto sections of Nairaland and vomit all these

Yepa!!!! Am in serious shock.

So their God given talent was not known to them till they travelled out. Like they didn't know this before travelling? Woooowwww!!!!

Back to reality.

Bottom line they became rich and famous here in Nigeria after returning from abroad not the other way round.

They did so because they saw potentials in the local industry and unlike you didn't write off Nigeria but returned to make their mark.

What makes you think you're using your HQ. What about the others that grew here locally who are equally making it Olamide, TU face, WC, Iyanya, Psquare, Asake, KCee etc.

They first travelled abi before they found their talent. May God help you to learn how to use your HQ
Look at you talking about HQ, ask yourself where did you think P square made thier first brake? was it not in North London?
ALl others you mentioned where did you think they made initial money to move up? you think it was by selling N100 CDs?
Look all these political heavy weight ie Jagaban we have today vast majority of them have two passports. even PMB went to school here in England at some point.

Such arrogance.

So everyone who disagreed with you tried to emigrate or are not as smart as you are or they fall in between and don't like progress.

Silly talk.

Remittances to Nigeria was $20 bn in 2021 less than 4% of GDP. The bulk of GDP comes from hard working Nigerians who choose to make a difference back home rather than opt for a short cut to better living.

Some even turned down offers to travel out but you have the temerity to look down on them for not thinking and acting like you.

The returnees in music industry i.e Don Jazzy, Tiwa savage, Oxlade, Dbanj, banky w and so on are doing far better than you but are still humble enough to understand that people can still find success back home in Nigeria.

This is even only one sector - music. I haven't touched ICT, Fintech, Real estate, transport services, civil service etc.

You seriously overrate yourself.
Those people you mentioned and rightly son if dem no Japa and go to a sane environment to discover thier God given talent you for nor have them like right now.Sometimes we need use our HQ.
