Bro, how many cars have you used? How does that affect battery? I have my Camry car runs direct and battery lasted for 2 yrs plus.

Again, the major fear in connecting fan direct is that engine will not hit the running temperature at start up thereby affecting fuel economy and sludging up the engine oil.

Some car can hit the half mark temperature after 3mins of warming the car thereby eliminating those stated risk above. I used my Camry for solid 8yrs plus without any single sludge and fuel economy was about 10km/l from home to work. Note: Car was serviced with synthetic oil.

Try to do more research rather than just concluding

I don't know how old you are but I drove my 1st car gifted by my Old boy while still in Uni in the year 1994. SO go figure, I have been fortunate to only drive brand new cars, At present, I manage a total of 4 cars, A Jeep Liberty, A Toyota Sienna, a BMW 320D and A Range rover sport Autobiography. There goes your answer about how many cars I own. Most drivers drive their car day in day out so do not know when the Engine change sound. We have had this talk about people wiring their cars direct on the Auto section nearly 10 years ago and I'm sure you were not a member then if not you would have seen the issue.
If your car hits the operating temperature within 3 mins of starting from cold something is wrong with your cooling system because your thermostat is meant to be closed from start once the coolant which I hope you are using instead of just water does not make your engine run cold too long and opens once your car hits operating temperature. I xplained the battery drain to you as your fan working directly off your battery is bad for your battery. Fan has a huge drain on your battery when it is on also if its a clutch fan it then has huge effect on your engine output. You really need to google the effect of wiring your radiator straight and how your thermostat works to further understand it.
Also telling me your car was serviced with synthetic Oil is a no-brainer, it only shows your do not even know the engine oil weight poured to your car, mechanic just chose any synthetic they like. Let me ask you, what's written in the oil container's label? or look on your engine oil cap, Toyota would write the Engine weight on the Oil cap, for the Sienna which the Mrs uses, its Oil specification is 5W30. The range rover uses this too.SO if you use 10w40, your guess is as good as mine.
PS, I have just gone fru your username and profile, I can see the catalogue of troubles you have listed with this car and you said you drove this car straight for 8 years no issues? is it not the same car from 2014 I am confused

The new mechanic I met says it's fuel pump dt mine is weak he even said he will give guarantee if it doesn't solve the problem.

Managing the car like dt for now till 3rd January.

The good part is that it restarts after shutting down n drives up to 4 miles before it happens again

Sorry to say but I can tell you are not so clued up when it comes to car. The Temp sensor was put there to control the fan, and these signals are from the ECU.You car running direct from the battery puts a large burden on your car as it goes, it will never charge the battery to its full capacity. The main and only function of your car during the day time is to start your car.
2nd problem is that your car runs cold at start ups and initial movements, fuel/air ratio is fxxxcked up. You will use more fuel.
As per your car oil, you should only use the Oil weight specified by the car manufacturer.

I have scanned it n here is the DTC, I am thinking it's a sensor issue?

The major thing in this scan is ur Pedal/Throttle position sensor
I take it your car cooling fan runs directly from battery, if not replace coolant sensor.
Does ur car smoke? dose it lose Oil and coolant? Does it do over heat?

In my opinion, creating a 'Scammers list' will help notify people of who is a criminal and this is a good idea to at least prevent and also reduce these shameful and deceitful occurrences.

We are laughing over this matter because we haven't lost money to a vendor.

I see all these as 'simple fraud' that is not too different from what we already know. So its not worth wasting pages for.

Madam, you have really tried to educate people. If possible you can create a thread with emphasis on 'Scammers in property section'. Just like the one in business section.

I usually use the 'search' option before I engage any vendor, but not every member is aware not to talk of non-members of this platform.

I even showed him how Oga spyder880 was preserving decking wood to be reused, since my house has a penthouse that would need another decking, he said never. That it was going to give problem when plastering ( As far we know spyder880 has never had any issue plastering his deckings). But my contractor insisted until new set of planks were provided.

Why I am telling all these? Building is a journey, just be prepared for all sorts of eventualities .

Let me tell a little story about my current project.
I wanted to have sense and that made me to go the owner provides materials route.
Do you know that the contractor used 150 bags of cement (he actually used them ) for a German floor that the QS esitimated 90 bags. Even the decking that was supposed to be 400 12mm , he requested for additional 130 lengths of 12mm.
I understand, the materials all actually went into my house but that was an over kill to protect himself from collapse.
The story is the same in most with of the builders.
If I am to ever employ nxt, I engage him on kobo phases, nothing more.
For those who would say they don’t have the time for that, soon that same time would be sent on Nairaland for complaints.
I guide my hard earned money very well because a penny saved is a penny earned.

You and I know Naija courts are a joke. You only end up spending a ton more and there’s no enforcement of the judgment unless you are talking billions and even that still takes years. Add that to the corrupt judiciary and police, it’s just throwing good money after bad so simply put, it’s not a viable solution, only sounds reasonable in theory. N3xt is fully aware of this loophole.

The scammers’ list has worked quite well in the business section despite how comparatively lower their scams are in naira value. The scammers list is not a court judgment but it’s an alert to warn intending spenders. You don’t even need to name it “scammers” call it a warning list, an alert list, caveat emptor list , etc, etc but at least, have something stickied to provide warning. With that, intending spenders, new and old, at least, have a database to refer to and we can then refer them to it if they come on here.

I’m bothered that somehow went ahead with n3xy despite knowing his history and I still can’t fathom why the QS would even recommend someone with such a reputation but my church mind reminds me that even Jesus forgave us all our sins. In the end, we cannot fault the kindness of someone who gives a disreputable person a chance, aggravating as it is.

A few months ago, I echoed the need for an active Moderator(s). I don’t know how a section that records hundreds of millions in naira can have no active moderation.

I agree with the Scammers/warning list, however at this point I would like to think the aggrieved persons should create and start it.Im sure we have up to 10 persons on here.The courts are a joke but what hope is left then? you see this is why I do my work in bits, once I get to 9ja, I open the door, we do the bit I can do, when holiday finishes, I lock up put keys in my inner pocket, I nor fit shout.No free money abroad.

Realistically no one can stop anyone from complaining, its just when it goes on for like 4 pages it then begins to look as if it is nuisance when infact someone is losing loads of money however I feel the pain of Op cos I have been there B4, hence I decided to try the DIY method on my now build. I understand your frustration but I think empathy for our fellow men/women is more important that the convenience to enjoy the thread without N3xt’s unending interludes. This is the only thread where anyone would even come close to learning about the atrocities and it is important that these stories are documented.

Start a campaign for a scammers’ list so that N3xt and all others can be properly recognized. Then it would make sense for victims to create separate threads which would be linked to the entry on the scammers’ list. Without that scammers’ list, there is no other thread that even comes close.

Even with all the proof on Docs, the Onus is on the aggrieved customer to take the contractor to court since there are agreements.If not everyone on here will be labelled as such if they are contractor.
