I see you lack comprehension. I will leave you to your fate.

On a second thought, let me respond more fully to you both...

The reason I didn't respond to that guy was because I hate it when people miss or deviate from the context of a GENERAL discussion and seek to overcomplicate things with A TECHNICAL response just to make themselves look smart or learned.

Lambos and Ferraris come in "automated manuals" with dual-clutch gearboxes, and similar technologies. Why didn't they just call it an AUTOMATIC? Because it's NOT an automatic!

The root word in that name is "manual"; the "automated" attached to it is actually a qualifier, an adjective. This means that, in its core, it remains a manual transmission (actually, two manual trannies), with techy gimmicks added on top of it to achieve faster-than-human gear shifts, in response to throttle position, steering position, obstacle awareness, and more than 20+ driver habit and other input signals collated and logged over time, with some basic implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) deciding the shift points.

And you know what's funny? I mentioned this particular point about faster-than-human gear shifts in my original comment, to which the egotistic bloke you referred to responded with a painfully condescending blab.

I quietly left his comment unreplied because he ended up saying pretty much the same thing I said. At least I made him do some googling assignment for a Bibliography.

Feel free to follow suit.

I suggest you read this:

There was zero need to refer to the UK in the manner you did. Return to the top of the discussion, if you will, and see the context of the references.

We were talking about the cost of manual vs auto tranny cars in Nigeria, NOT the United Kingdom. My response was to explain why there is such a price difference between two identical cars, different only in the kind of tranny they have. Nigerians don't buy manual, that's why the price is always significantly lower than its automatic twin. A simple demand-driven price gap.

Nobody was talking about car manufacturing. Just you.
Oga, the OP never said anything about Nigeria, she simply talked about having a person abroad who wants to supply her a car once she makes up her mind simple.m we do not make any part of thee cars in Nigeria why use Nigeria as a yard stick to judge any part of this discos?
Besides how am i meant to believe you know what a manual or Auto gear is , coming from a bloke who said Lambos and ferarris have Manual cars huh huh huh huh huh huh.Guy like Nurey adviced U B4, stick to what you know!
Politics › Re: Court Orders EFCC, DSS To Arrest Diezani Within 72 Hours by erico2k2(m): 7:59pm On Dec 05, 2018
EmagNig:
A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies to arrest Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former minister of petroleum, within 72 hours.

According to The Cable, the order was issued by Justice Valentine Ashi based on a motion filed by the counsel to the EFCC, Msuur Denga.

Denga had earlier prayed the court to issue a warrant for the former minister’s arrest to enable the anti-graft agency arraign her in court.

The EFCC investigated the former minister along with Jide Omokore, a former Chairman, Atlantic Energy Drilling Company, following a petition dated October 2, 2013, from Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, CACOL, bordering on money laundering and official corruption.

EFCC said in a statement that investigations into the petition revealed that Mrs Alison-Madueke as supervising minister of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, was found to have engaged in illicit and monumental fraudulent dealings in oil transactions, which she entered into on behalf of the Federal Government.

Mrs Alison-Madueke and Mr Omokore are also alleged to have accepted and given gifts in properties located at Penthouse 22, Block B, Admiralty Estate, Ikoyi, and Penthouse 21, Building 5, Block C, Banana Island, Lagos.

They are to be arraigned on February 25, 2019 on a five-count charge for the offences, which are contrary to Sections 26(1) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.

When the matter came up on Monday the Commission however filed application for warrant of arrest, condition precedent for Mrs Alison-Madueke’s extradition protocol to bring her back home to face trail.

The prosecution told the court that Mrs Alison-Madueke, who is currently in the United Kingdom, jetted out of the country while investigations into the alleged fraudulent acts were ongoing.

The court today, granted the ex parte motion, and ordered the security agencies to provide Mrs Alison-Madueke within 72 hours, for her to face the charge preferred against her.

“The Inspector General of Police, the Chairman of the EFCC, the Attorney General, the Department of State Services, are hereby ordered in the name of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria to apprehend and arrest the first defendant and produce her before this court for further directives within 72 hours,” the judge held.

We have winter,Summer and All year, just like you have cross thread and directional tyres. Its your choice, All year and cross thread are more expenssive, however it is not mandatory,But in central Europe you must either have All season or stick to the season/s tyre ie Poland.in Nigeria we should use Summer tyres only nothing else, this is where people buying Imported used tyres face danger, cos they might

B Buy a tyre with directional thread and face it the wrong way;I have seen this with my koro koro eyes just now I came

Going through the links, I was expecting an authority from the middle east that you referred to. Summer tyres from the date of manufacturing does not exceed 4 years. When you quote the US that even use M+S rated tyres, you will find out that they limit the speed of the tyres in order to make the tyres useful for both seasons. Frsc are the authority that determines the type of tyre that they want to be on our roads. And very soon, they will be carrying guns and if you know, you know
In reality that guy is right, the only group of people advocating in the west for limited time in the change of tyres due to age are the tyre service providers like the AA not manufactureres.SOme part of the US is even hotter than the middle East ie Ariona and Texas.
In the UK, year of manufacture is not a requirement is not a requirement as to how long you need to have your tyre,, tehre is advicosry but the real Legal check for MOT is the WEAR INDICATOR, which we seem t o always overlook in Nigeria, I was suprised loads of Tyre shop in NIgeria never knew about this.

Your car tyres remain a very vital part of your car that is supposed to be in good condition at all times. Your tyre is meant to provide a safe grip with the ground in all situations to ensure good driveability of your car. Anything that makes your tyre deviate from giving your car safe grip to the ground should be avoided.

Below are the warning signs that indicate it’s time to change your tyres.

1. Bulges:

Bulges on any part of your trye are another clear indication that your tyre needs to be replaced. The bulges sprout out when the rigid internal frame of your tyre get damaged.

These bulges can be caused by driving your car with low tyre pressure, hitting potholes or kerbs.

When there is bulge(s), it is highly advised you change the tyre even if it looks fine.
https://i0.wp.com/autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/signs-tyre-replacement.jpg?resize=534%2C400&ssl=1

2. Age:

Pay attention to the age of your tyre. It is not very hard to check the age of your tyre. There are a 10-11 digits Tyre Identification Number (TIN) written on the sidewall of every tyre. The TIN tells you a lot of information about your tyre including the weak and year it was manufactured. Expired tyres need to be changed.

To ensure your are not using expired tyres, read our post on – How To Tell If Your Car Tyres Are Expired here
https://i0.wp.com/autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/signs-tyre-replacement-1.jpg?resize=590%2C354&ssl=1

3. Cracks:

Car tyres are almost at all times exposed to varying weather conditions. Some of these exposures can cause UV rays to break down the chemicals and oils used by the tyre manufacturers. When this occurs, the strength and flexibility of your tyres might get compromised leading to brittle-like texture of the tyre.

This will often look like little cracks or holes in the tyre itself.

These cracks on your tyres could be a sign of a future blowout. So it is definitely something you need to get checked soon.
https://i2.wp.com/autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/signs-tyre-replacement-2.jpg?resize=533%2C400&ssl=1

4. Vibrations:

It is normal for your car to vibrate especially when plying bumpy roads. There are several causes of car vibration; one of them is bad tyres. An internal damage to the tyre can cause irregular spinning of the tyre, hence vibrations.

If you start noticing some vibrations even when on smooth road, it can be an indicator something could be wrong with your tyre. Inspect your tyre to find out what the problem is.

5. Wear on one side:

You would probably need new tyres if they have severely worn out.

Tread wear on the center strip of the tyre is a sign of over inflation, while wear on the edges is as a result of under inflation.

Manual cars are cheaper in Nigeria only because Nigerians don't buy manual. It's simple a factor of demand, nothing else.

Now, in reality, manual cars are more fun to drive, as they let you feel the power of your engine / torque much better than any automatic ever could (except, perhaps, some newer tech auto trannieslike dual-clutch etc).

Ever wondered why super cars like Lambos and Ferraris DON'T come automatic? They're always manual.

It'd be a shame to pack a 900-horsepower beast under your bonnet and insult it with an automatic transmission. The wild animal go vex for you!
Please do a wee bit of research, Auto cars are more expenssive than manual cars of same make year and model in the UK from brand new!
Howmany SUVs have you seen with manuals trans in 2018?
PS try and find out about Manual cars and what it means!
