It’s amazing the kind of comments one reads on this thread. That’s the kind of feedback the policy makers will like to see to verify that people don’t mind working for 50 years to get ilr even in their grave. Nonsense and ingredients 😂

Do you even know that in the US the current vice president jd Vance said recently that a green card does not give indefinite right to stay in the US, green card o and am sure even some uniformed immigrants will agree with him to say they don’t mind too. That’s how they continue to deceive themselves.
Even in the Uk, there is nothing as absolute rights to be British citizen. It could be withdrawn from you under certain circumstances.

Keep deceiving yourself you hear, inferiority complex will not kill you. Apart from house rent and some other services, tell me one thing that is not as expensive in Nigeria like it is abroad.
Some people do not realise living a standard way of life is more expensive than people living in the UK.I some homes, they must have power 24/7. imagine how much that cost. My home cost N20k in fuel for 3 days, when there is no power. This is more expensive than my electric bill for a month

A senior Manager in a commercial bank in Nigeria will earn something close to this...with less tax, if you include side deals he could earn double
We pay more tax in Nigeria with nothing to show for more than those workers in the UK.

Hypocrisy is all I see here... In saner countries, they create council flats to reduce housing shortages, but here, when they create housing projects, they make it unaffordable for the common man, now they're talking about exploitative landlords.

The only thing they should do is to make sure agents do not charge above 10% for their commission and they need to make sure "agreement fees" are not charged cos that's illegal. They cannot regulate any other thing cos they're not the ones who bought building materials for the landlord.
Its at the hand of the tenant that lies the solution to rent agents, question you should ask is why go to Agents? If you get this answer you would have solved this problem

Look at these lot acting as if they truly are going to solve an issue even government of the west could not solve. The so called government are the same ones making property rental cost go up but they chose to hide under the guise of we are working and greed.
When are they going to reduce C of O?
When are they going to reduce the cost of building permit.
When are they going to normalize ground rent and deductions?
As far as any government did not contribute to any one building a house to let, they ordinarily do not have a say in it.

I major in this subject as a first degree to Msc and currently PhD.

If it his calling let him get proper tutilage and education on activism.

People like you na him go lead am into fire.

This e-diot doesn’t still know the meaning of “alleged”. The EFCC can post your picture as long as it has alleged before any crime and you’re being charged with that crime in court. He didn’t even say a single thank you to his useless fans who risked life and limb to protest his release, he’s busy chest beating and proposing friendship to an organization that he has insulted time and over again. Anyways, like I’ve said before, VDM is a butterfly that thinks it’s a bird.
make we sidon look, he has said what he said, ova to EFCC,lets see if they will post what he said they should not post, today nah saturday, we get one week to go.

I saw VDMs appreciation post today and it was very heartwarming that he recognized Femi Falana (SAN).

My advice to him is that he should just stop the invincible above the law persona he thinks he has.

Asides from Barris. Adeyanju and Jojo of Lele, and his siblings, every other person did their #FreeVDM# move from the comfort of their phones.

The DSS and NIA may not be as nice as the EFCC and should tamper down on his mouth-running spree.

If he wants to do activism he needs proper education so he does it tactically.

The greatest activist in recorded Nigerian history was Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and he had his fair share with the authorities including the loss of his mother after she was brutalized.

VDM has organic love but let him no that no champion forever.

After God is Government, and if you like lay your life for people whey no send your papa.
Shoe get size, if that is his calling let hm be if yours is to lsidon look crack on.

There is little likelihood he will get the device back. The EFCC took two phones from me in 2016 and denied in court ever taking the devices.

I walked into the office holding my phones for a meeting unrelated to me. They approached me and said they needed my phones for "forensics", took the phone and asked me to leave the premises.

I left, brought out the third phone in my back pocket, logged into my Google account and wiped the Android device, logged into lost my iPhone and erased the device. They requested my presence to unlock the devices which was ignored!

Bunch of unprofessional cowboys
They do not know iPhones and Android now operate in a cloud environment. Phones are more sophisticated

Rather, he's the one quaking with fear because of his phone in their custody. His words reveals it.

The question now is, does he have anything that'd implicate him in his phone or is it just the supposed evidences he has that's making him jittery? If it's the supposed evidences couldn't he have saved them in so many other places, like laptop, disc, etc other than just his phone alone that he moves with?

With the way he talks too much and look for trouble he should have been wise enough to save his evidences in many other places other than his phone, if really his fear is about the evidences he has against these people.

Very true, reasons Nigerians aren't hearing of power plants collapse or distribution line collapse but TCN grid collapsed.
All, thanks to the privatization of Generation and Distribution while we suffer the Nationalization of Transmission.
If you take a critical look, you will realize privatization is good and the way to go however, FG need to man up and propose outright Ban on extimated billing, ie announce it June and give the Discos one year.

You still missing the point, don't we already pay more than double what we should be paying? Don't you buy fuel to power your house?, it cost my household almost N20k to run for just 2.5 Days. So tell me is that not already more than any amount the govt can increase it to?The average Nigerian can pay their way if there is service. Even now we pay average of N1k per litre in Nigeria, did that stop anybody from fuelling according to their needs ?

Discos have business in building power plants, that is for Gencos.
Thats is bad Economy, we in Nigeria want to copy the west but only copy half.Name one GENCO in the west that is Not a DISCO.
I have done a lot of job for EDF, go check them out, you can even top up with them let alone distribute. The GENCO's need to acquire the Discos or given DISCO licence.Look at the other Energy Sector, Nobil,Shel and Texaco, are Gencos,Discos and even retailing.
